In Xarvia (part five)

As she stepped inside the throne room, she threw glances all over the place. Modest chandeliers were hanging from the domed ceiling in the flickering light while stone effigies look down upon the maple floor of this majestic hall. As usual the walls were painted with dark colours. On one side of the throne, it was painted taupe. On the other sides, it was painted licorise shade. A blue carpet run from the throne room to the door. Between each banner there were huge and tall candles that were lit. Behind the grand chair of the king. There was a huge painting of a black serpent. Just staring at the painting made Cat blink more often as she held her cloth tightly. There were huge windows, neighbored by curtains colored the same colour as the walls. The curtains had gold toppings on it.
