Familiar strangers

The engagement is finally over and both families can rest and wait for the wedding which will take place in two months time. Asmita is still looking for a way to get rid of Agni either by crook or hook. Nikita sends Agni to the supermarket to buy some ingredients for her,

Nikita: " Agni? come here now!"

Agni: " you have to call me Zara remember...mom?"

Nikita: " Oops I forgot... do one thing for me though, go to the supermarket and buy me some ingredients "

Agni: " hold on a minute... you went there an hour ago so why didn't you buy them yourself?"

Nikita: " I was in hurry so that's why I forgot. Those ingredients are very vital because its the recipe. Fred's work colleagues are coming over and I want it all to be perfect"

Agni: " just make the dish without these ingredients whats the worst that could happen?"

Nikita: " Zara I just said the ingredients are vital! go and get them or I'll spank you so hard"

Agni: " alright am leaving don't freak out just calm down and relax"

As Agni is going out the door, Fred calls to send her as well leaving Agni with loads of work,

Fred:" Zara! "

Agni: " am here so why are you shouting? "

Fred: " I need you to buy everything that's on this list its urgently needed tonight "

Agni: " I'll get it"

Agni is at the supermarket when she bumps into a lady with a burka,and her shopping bags fall to the floor. They both go down to pick up there bags while apologising at the same time,

Agni: " am so sorry my bad "

woman:" no its not your mistake so please don't apologise"

Agni smells the woman's Cologne and its smells familiar to someone she knows well. The woman looks up to face Agni but when she comes face to face with her, she immediately looks down. leaving Agni suspicious of her,

" this woman is so strange,first she bumped into me,even at that I still apologized. Now she is runners away from me, is she an one or does she know me. Her Cologne though... someone familiar has it. Oh well everyone has it"

As Agni is taking her shopping bags to the car,she meets a young,clever, beautiful and talkative girl who has lost her way. When she sees her,Agni's blood starts racing and fails to understand why.The girl starts troubling Agni,

Jasmine: " excuse me madam! "

Agni: " yes how may I help?"

Jasmine: " have you seen my mom,she is so beautiful just like you and she wears a burka "

Agni: " I saw a woman in burka but it maybe someone else "

Jasmine: " I know my mom when I see her. Will you wait here with me?"

Agni: " I wish I could, my mom sent me here to buy stuff for her...but you can wait for her at the police station that way it'll be easier to for her to find you"

Jasmine: " no! only criminals are found there,they might shoot me and the police shout a lot so try another solution"

Agni: " criminals don't have guns when they are in jail. But I may have another solution... you can stay at the security man's post just by the gate your mommy will find you there "

Jasmine: " that's a bad solution madam! who knows what the security man is hiding he might kidnap me or even kill me"

Agni: " no he won't, come with me"

Agni drags the little girl but she refuses and blackmails Agni forcing her to stay,

" if anything happens to me then I'll tell the police you're responsible so you better stay here!"

Agni: " why would lie against me we don't even know each other! "

Jasmine: " I'll tell them that you kidnapped me so you can ask my mom for money"

Agni: " you little maniac! at your age you want to blackmail people older than you. Okay I'll stay but just for an hour, if your mother doesn't show up then am leaving. Deal?"

Jasmine: " deal!"

One hour later, Agni has not showed up home yet and Nikita is fuming in anger,

Nikita: " if Zara didn't want to go then she should have said so. Now I have no time left! "

At the supermarket, Jasmine's mother hasn't shown up yet. Agni and the little girl get to know each other and she takes the girl home,

Agni: " what's your name girl?"

Jasmine: " my name is Jasmine! "

Agni: " you don't have to be so loud when talking. Your mom isn't showing up so am leaving "

Jasmine: " you can't leave me here,am starving so let's eat"

Agni: " there are no restaurants around so what do we eat?"

Jasmine:" let's go to your house then,surely your mom must have prepared something delicious "

Agni: " we are both strangers. My mom sent me here,I took longer than I should and now going home with a strange girl,she'll kill me"

Jasmine: " I'll tell the police you kidnapped me "

Agni: " let's go to my house"

They get to the house and before Nikita can vent out her anger on Agni, Jasmine runs to her and hugs her, cooling Nikita's temper with her cute little face. Agni explains why she took so long and Nikita pardons her. As Jasmine is eating,Agni takes some ice cream and feeds it to her, thanking her for the save,

Agni: " I must say you are not too bad at all, I brought you some extra ice cream to thank you for saving me from my mom's wrath"

Jasmine: " you are not so bad yourself, thank you. I do it when my mom is angry at me and trust me it works all the time"

Agni: " I would do the same too so we have something in common. I would hug my dad when he was mad at me. But what if the police come and arrest me for bringing you here,then what?"

Jasmine: " I have a mouth to speak, you saved me so I wouldn't let them take you "

Agni: " how old are you Jasmine? "

Jasmine: " am just three years old,too clever for my age....I know"

In the night,Jasmine sleeps in Agni's bed,they chat until they finally fall asleep.
