Aiden felt dizzy from the constant ringing and didn't pay attention to the info or text card flashing in front him. He pushed them out of his sight and swam in the opposite direction of where he came from.

After what seemed like a day of swimming, Aiden saw for the first time in a long time what seemed to be land. He approached the shore and he walked up on the rocky beach.

Aiden was on land at last, he was on a rocky beach filled with pebbles and rocks, up north was a cliff with trees and on his sides were plains which built up to connect to the mountain.

Being a fan of the New world and survival, Aiden knew he had to find food, shelter and water first. He chose to climb up the mountain to go in the forest and maybe find a wild animal to feed on. He also wanted to go in the forest to get branches and wood to start a fire who could keep him warm for the night and cook the meat.

Aiden started his climb by using the rocks peeking out of the mountain as feet holder and the horn of the abyss demon to hold him up and quickly went up. As an awakened, his body was in way better shape than what it were when he was just a normal person. While going up, he sometimes had to use Quick thinker to chose the right rock since they were brittle and chosing the wrong one would mean a huge fall who'd end up either killing Aiden or injure him so much that he would probably die either way.

When he was about to finish climbing, Aiden suddenly felt the rock under his feet cracking. He only needed another push to be at the top but if he didn't hurry he would fall to his death. Aiden used his remaining energy to jump as high as he could which let him reach the top easily. When he landed on the top he heard the rock falling on the side of the mountain, making a rocky sound which echoed through the isle he was on.

Aiden took a good minute to look around and make sure nothing was trying to kill him. It was a really good reflex considering the New world was the most dangerous place to be in. After making sure he was safe, Aiden opened his info card to look what was ringing earlier. When he opened it he saw his level and was astonished. He leveled up four times with just the abyss demon. He knew leveling up wasn't hard because most people could reach level 10 in less than three months, but he was already half way with just one monster and he also earned 12 stat points to use . Aiden was over the moon, he thought he would need to risk his life to feed himself the first few days, but with 12 points he could just upgrade his strength and constitution to hunt easily.

After thinking about his ability and what he needed right now, Aiden chose to pour 5 points in luck, to get the bonus, which would bring it to 12, 4 points in strength and the rest in constitution.

With his newly gained power, Aiden set out in the forest to find food. He found some berries from time to time but they were all inedible or tasted to awful to try and eat them.

Aiden walked a couple of miles in the forest until he realised night time was coming and so, he decided to start making a bonfire to keep him warm. He started by taking a couple of small rocks and branches to lit it. After that, he went and found a medium sized log to put in the middle. Now he only needed a silex and another rock to smash together to make some sparks and he would have a fire.

Aiden walked in circle around his unlit bonfire, as to not lose it, and he finally found what he needed. He went back to his fire and started to smash the rock and the silex together. He did it for ten minutes and got a spark which lit up the wood and branches. When he got the spark, he also heard a ring in his head and a text card appeared.

'Quest received: hunt a crystal tusk boar before midnight. Reward: 1 stat point and a hunting quest. Failure: you won't be able to have the hunting quest.'

Aiden read the content of the text card and stood up to look around. If he got a hunting quest without directions, it meant that the prey was near so he picked the horn of the abyss demon and started sneaking around, as to not get found first. Aiden heard a brushing noise on is left and went in a bush to try to ambush the beast. He heard another brushing noise, way closer this time and pushed some leaves aside to see the beast.

The crystal tusk boar was a common monster to find in New world. It had two big tusk made out of a purple-ish transparent crystal, a pair of sharp eyes in the same shade and a brownish, black mane. It was about four feets tall and around seven feets in length. The beast also had hooves made out of the same material as his tusk which slowed it down because it slipped easily if it ran too fast.

Aiden saw the beast approaching. It was sniffing around and closing the distance when it started to sniff the bush Aiden was in. Aiden hold his breath and fixed the monster. Meanwhile, the beast had started to feast on the berries in the bush.

Aiden waited for the beast to look up so that he could stab it in the throat. The monster munched on the berries at the bottom and went up and when the beast reached the top, it felt a sharp edge under his jaw. Aiden missed the throat but still got a good spot, the only problem was that he didn't kill the beast in one shot. He quickly took the horn out of the beast's submandibular triangle and the beast let out a screeching roar.

Aiden rushed out of the bush and started running as the beast chased him face down as to impale him with it's tusk. Even though the beast was charging at full speed, it was still quite slow so Aiden had time to move around it and try to stab it again.

Aiden made his way to the back of the beast. The beast turned around as fast as it could but Aiden still got time to stab the horn in the back of the beast. Unfortunately, he didn't get his weapon back this time.

The beast started roaring and moving hecstasicely because of the two wounds it had suffered. But, even though the beast was suffering it had the upper hand now since Aiden didn't have his weapon.

Aiden chose to hide between the trees to block the beast's vision and stop it from charging at him recklessly but he underestimated it greatly. The boar charged face down at him and used its tusks to unroot the trees in its way making Aiden an easy target now.

The beast went full speed at Aiden and Aiden knew he couldn't outrun it in a straight line so he bet on the same thing that saved him earlier.

Aiden waited till the last moment and when the boar was one feet away from him he jumped up even higher than when he was on the rock because of the points he put in strength and landed on the back of the boar. Wary of what Aiden would do, the boar started shacking uncontrollably to make Aiden fall off, but Aiden used the mane of the boar to stay on top.

Aiden used his left hand to hold himself while he used his right hand to retrieve the horn that was behind him. He picked the horn and gave the same treatment he gave to the abyss demon to the boar and started stabbing as fast and strong as he could at the boar's head.

one stab, two stabs, five stabs, eleven stabs. . .

Aiden gave it all he had and the more he did it the less shacking and roaring the boar made, untill it stopped moving completely and let out a last "rooaarre". It was it's last word and when Aiden jumped off the boar, a text card appeared, followed by the usual ringing.

'Crystal tusk boar killed'

'You gained 23 exp'

'Quest completed'

'You earned 1 stat point and a hunting quest'

'Quest received: kill 5 crystal tusk boars in less than five days. Rewards: 2 stat points and a hunting quest. Failure: you won't be able to have the hunting quest.'

Aiden finished reading the text card and when he did, his info card popped up with a new tab called 'Encyclopedia'.
