"He is no more madam as he passed away from heart attack last night in the hospital itself and today is his last rites day", The waiter responds in a slow voice which seems like a bullet which hit the Monica's head with a great velocity as she is left shocked with the fact

Because he was the only one who became her first friend here within a week after she joined this firm as everyone else behaved as if she is from some other planet and the most shocking thing which hits her is that he was just 45 which is very less as compared to the average life span of normal human being which has increased in the years passing by

Suddenly his vision starts floating before her eyes as she listens this sad news and he sees a tall and handsome man who is in his mid 50s and his body structure makes everyone believe that he could have been a wrestler in his time because even though humans developed so much in last few decades , but still the one thing which remained common between them is the class division of rich and poor

And he told her about his struggles in her childhood until he set up this cafe which changed his life as here he met his love Jenny at the age of 25 , but unfortunately she also left him when he was just 40 due to cancer as they cannot afford for the costly treatment

While she is lost in her thoughts suddenly she hears the voice of something falling on the ground which brings her to normalcy and instead of ordering anything she asks the witer about the location of his final rites as she also wants to join his last journey to heaven

"St Anthony's crematorium ground", The waiter responds after which she just orders a chocolate bar which was favourite of uncle Salmon from the counter and leaves the cafe and instead of joining back to work , she goes to her house reasoning her ill health

SAME EVENING

Monica reaches on the location as told by the waiter and there she sees some of the close friends and family members of uncle Salmon , some of them are teary eyed whereas some are trying to control their emotions while the pastor is reading something for the assurance that his sould should rest in heaven and peace after he leaves this place called earth

And after the reading session , uncle Salmon is finally buried beneath the groud along with the coffin in which he is kept for the loved one's of him to have his last glance and suddenly heavy rainfall starts as soon as a drop of tear falls from the left eye of Monica which shows the sign that she is in grief

Which leaves everyone in shock as it's next to impossible to rain in London and that too in the month of April which is considered as the driest month in London , because of which everyone gets wet in the processing of saving themselves from sudden and heavy rainfall

But Monica still stand near the tomb of uncle salmon and starts thinking about all the sweet memories which she had with him and soon she takes out the same chocolate from her pocket and keeps it on his tomb stone

"I wish that you should have better life next birth because you were eligible for what you got as you were fortuned for even more which never came to your path"

And suddenly she sits near his tomb and starts crying even more harder as if she lost someone very special with whom she spent her whole life and with the intensity of her cry , even the rainfall also starts getting out of control which now leaves everyone scared more than shock as suddenly the thunderbolt starts hitting the ground very severely

But anyhow she tries to control her emotions looking the people scared in her surroundings and as soon as she leaves the place , the whole situation again turns normal and instead of going home she instead goes on the outskirt of the city which is her favourite place where she likes to spend sometime when she is happy or sad

And she just sits on one of the benches kept there and opens her diary which she always carries with her and notes down her emotions in it especially when she is sad and thus she starts penning down her emotions right now in regards to which she writes some of the important conversations between her and uncle salmon and after completing it

She just gets up and starts walking towards the city only to stumble across someone who arises before her out of nowhere , she is a lady who is cladded in a dark black attire which is matching with her long hair which is touching the ground whereas her eyes are dark red in colour as if thr blood of her body is collected in it which looks very scary

But instead of getting scared Monica bows down before her with a statement , "Hail leader Shoma"

"I am very much upset with you because you tried to break the rule which is set by us for out safety as you went out of control of your emotions because of which you could have given birth to a circumstances which won't really be well for anyone of us", She responds in a deep voice

"I am extremely sorry , but I just lost my control over me because today I lost my only human friend who was as great as god , he was the simplest person I ever saw in my life span of around 350 years , I was never attached to any human so badly before as I never got one", She responds while getting up from the ground

"I can understand that but it is also against the laws of our clan and next time you better keep this in mind because the rules are made for our safety and for nothing else and the reason why I am here is because I have got message from secret associates who are in disguise in Neopatra clan that they are coming to earth in order to find out the one who is going to represent us before warewolfs

As you already know that every year a battle is held between vampires and warewolfs and whoever wins it becomes the supreme leader and ruler of the underworld for next one year and hence this time Neopatra clan is willing to compete against them , but that will only be possible when they will find and kill the selected candidate which is already decided by the supreme leader every year

Henceforth , you have to be very careful from now onwards because they are already in association with the warewolfs and if they will become ruler of the underworld then warewolfs will become the ruling system of the underworld which cannot be tolerated under any circumstances because then they will start targeting the vampire clans and destroy them in order to have to competition for the nearby future", She informs her about the real reason of why she is here for

"But our astrologer told me that this year you will finally get your partner with you are going to spend rest of your life and since that very day , I am desperately finding him because it has been around 350 years since I am alone and even today I look just 24 years old as I never aged since I got bit by one of the vampire of the Nevarra clan

And that is the only reason why I decided to stay back here or else I already decided that I will go back to underworld and will find someone there and will settle down with him happily married with my own family as I am really fed up of living alone here

"I know and can relate to everything you are saying but we don't have anyone else rather than you to represent ourself in the battle of power as the reality is that our clan is on the verge of destruction due to no man remaining in it now as they sacrificed themselves on multiple occasions to save our clan while battling with different types of antity right after the creation of our clan around 1500 years back", She tries to explain her the situation

"And as you are the one who is one amongst the oldest vampires now after me in the clan and henceforth the responsibility now goes into your hands to protect our clan as all the other remaining vampires are either new one's or they are not eligible to represent us", She again speaks out before Monica could utter a word ahead after listening to her last sentence

"So what am I supposed to do for that ?", Monica asks her with no emotions

"Just have to visit the underworld one month before the date of competition , so that we can help you prepare for battle against warewolfs and we will send you the message of when you have to be present there", Shoma responds with a glitter in her eyes and soon after that she disappears from her sight

After which Monica again continues walking only to stop outside her apartment and she just stares at the door rather than getting inside as if she is really not interested to even enter inside her house after which she looks at her watch and comes across the fact that it's 10 PM and very soon after that she takes out phone from her pocket and ends up messaging the manager of the company

"I won't come to work tomorrow as I am still not in a very good condition and hence need some more time to rest - Monica Swazsky"

And after sending the message , she now puts her thumb on the security system which soon opens the door after scanning and matching her thumb print with the system and as the door opens , the evry next moment she hears

"Welcome back Miss Monica Swazsky , it's 10:02 PM", which is done by an automatic system in the security system which also keeps track of the entry and exit of it's owner and soon after her entry inside , the door locks automatically in few milliseconds

And instead of eating , she rather goes to her bed and as soon as she enters in her bedroom , AC system automatically detects her entry and it starts with the controlled temperature according to her body heat which is determined by the sensors in it

And she also falls flat on the bed by putting tv on which is also voice controlled and starts finding a good movie to watch as she is really feeling very low only for her to stumble upon her favourite movie named ,"LOVE WAS WHEN I LOVED YOU",when she surfs movie channels

She starts watching it by putting it from beginning as the half movie is already gone when she finally finds it out and as usual she just stares at the protagonist of the film named Noah who has been her heart throb since she saw him for the first time in the same film around 5 years back when it was released

And since then she has watched this film for more than 200 times only to hit on the protagonist of the film as she is the kind of guy about which she has always thought of to be his life partner , urge of which has been increasing continuously in her since last few months since underworld astrologer told her that she will meet her life partner this year as she has already wasted 350 years of her life without any partner
