King Corvus nodded. "Everyone else can leave," he announced, not even bothering to offer an explanation to the others.

Crown Princess Pica bit her lip, clearly wanting to protest, but holding herself back.

"Come on, let's go," General Aquila said mildly, gathering his wife, his son and the twins. "We should also notify Jaren about this." He shot Raven a reassuring glance, indicating with his dark eyes that he would always support the boy with whatever was required.
