"It feels a bit empty and quiet," King Jaren said with a sigh.

"Don't worry, Papa, you've still got us," Mana said with a smile.

It felt like the old days – with King Jaren, Jules, Mana and Raven in the room. The babies had been put to bed, and everyone else had left.

Jules rolled his eyes. "Yes, yes, little Mana is the apple of Papa's eyes," he teased.

Mana giggled. "I think that's been Azar and Alya for a while now," she pointed out. "Papa, you need to grow more eyes to accommodate the other babies in the future!"

"Dear heavens, no," King Jaren said, horrified, imagining more eyes growing on his face. That would be gross.

Everyone burst out laughing.
