Igor looked at Jules with a strange expression on his face the entire time King Jaren was explaining the background to him.

Jules finished listening to the story, and immediately glanced at his fiancée. Bella's face was tear-streaked, but she was smiling, and Jules could tell that she was genuinely happy to have found a big brother.

"Something wrong, Igor?" King Jaren asked, noticing the man's strange look at Jules.

"Jules didn't trigger the alarm," Igor replied. "I set up a barrier when Carolina started speaking earlier, and except for me and Ivan, no one should have been able to enter…"

King Jaren chuckled. "Ah, that," he said casually. "Jules and Bella are soulmates, so if Bella is in, Jules can get in as well – and vice versa."

Upon hearing that, both Igor and Ivan were taken aback.

"It really is true, then?" Ivan murmured. "I always thought that it was an exaggeration by enthusiastic people to say how compatible you were…"
