Fight? I Just Got Here

[Episode 2]

A loud sigh escapes my mouth and accompanies the numerous thoughts crowding my mind.

I've been having this aching sensation all around my body since that damned wolf got here.

I'm sure it's forcing us to somehow submit to it through fear or maybe this pain is some sort of side effect from suddenly teleporting into this 'Pietra' place.

Whatever the reasoning, I'm feeling a strong sense of discomfort within my body.

The wolf once again cuts short my overthinking, "If any of you humans are fortunate enough to survive the perfectly sharpened claws of my wolves within the span of an hour, you may be taken to a safer place."

So basically it's telling us that we're potentially standing on our future graves. I highly doubt that anyone has been comforted by the wolf's assurance of refuge when surviving a pack of wolves is the condition.

The humanoid looking wolf creature is clothed in a blue and white-striped suit vest which nicely compliments its long silver tail that sweeps the floor.

Its hind paws- free from shoes- dangle freely as it protrudes from the ends of its ocean-blue trousers.

To be honest, if it weren't for the fact that it opens its mouth to speak, I would've mistaken it for a man in an animal costume with the way it stands up straight.

The mere presence of the wolf has solidified my 'sent to' another world theory that I only considered from spending all my time reading all those comics.

Suddenly an older man in his pyjamas creates an outburst, "What reason have you brought me here!? I woke up expecting to get ready for an important meeting but found myself here. Send us back this instant you foul creature! Because of you, I might lose my job!"

But the Wolf just grins. "Foul creature? I am nowhere near as awful as you feeble humans, I am the wise and proud leader of the Bowa Wolves, Murim!" He glides closer to the man, "Do you seriously think that losing your worthless job is your main issue? Be careful, else your greed may cost you your life."

The 'brave' man steps back in both embarrassment and disbelief.

The area covers in a deafening silence after Murim firmly hushes the man.

"Wow, how embarrassing..." I'm glad that I'm not one for confrontation. Poor guy, sometimes acting confident isn't the answer.

It's quite obvious with his stern figure and cold statement that Murim is forcing us to understand that we have no choice but to comply with his wishes of staying in this foreign world.

I doubt that we'd even be able to force him to send us back since we don't have a fighting chance against him.

*Awooooooooo~*

A blaring howl breaks the deep thought everyone has been in. Promptly, multiple howls follow its stead causing even the ground to shudder from the sheer pressure of the tumultuous wails.

They're filled with hunger.

"Humans, you have now been surrounded by my Wolf Tribe." Fiddling with his tail, he continues, "A weapon will be designated to each of you depending on your personalities. The women will have notably stronger arms as they have faced greater struggles in your world."

So he's saying that we have to fight a bunch of rabid dogs? There's absolutely no way any of us will survive! But maybe with those weapons he mentioned, we'd have a small chance to win.

One by one, with a large flash of light, weapons appear in people's hands.

They're either given a sword, bow, shield, staff or something else equally as impressive.

"I should be receiving mine about now."

One minute passes, people have received their weapon.

Five minutes pass, they're admiring their weapon.

Nothing. Nothing. Nothing at all. I've not received a single weapon.
