A Hotel

[Episode 6]

Despite everyone being glad they survived the first round, the majority of people look more concerned that we've only just gone through the 'first round'.

In other words, we're probably in huge trouble since there will be more situations like this to come. Though frankly, I'm personally more worried about having a woman's body on top of being weaponless in some unfamiliar world.

Argh! It makes me mad thinking about it, "Like come on, pick just one struggle for me not multiple!"

"It seems you humans have finally noticed that you shall once again be sent to that place." Murim plays with a ball of blue flames as he floats in a hammock laying position, "If you can kill as many beasts as possible, you will gain points which will increase your chances of survival."

Points? So, this is like a game then?

Murim explains that we will be sent to the forest two hours a day and whenever we kill a monster, we gain points. Those points can be used to buy equipment, clothing, other necessities, and skills.

"If you look around this room, you will notice silver doors appearing. The main aim is to buy out all the rooms to progress onto the next level."

And just as Murim tells us, silver doors begin to appear.

Each door must be leading to another area… Once we open all the doors, then I can go back home to my sisters! If that's really the case, I might be able to stay optimistic with the thought of home being my end goal.

"The doors are simply what you humans call bedrooms. In a sense, you can think of this place as a hotel. Once all ten rooms are bought and opened, that golden door will open and move the survivors to the next stage."

It seems my initial thought was terribly wrong.

"What on earth does he mean by bedrooms?!" No epic boss fights and finding forgotten realms but opening a door to a bedroom? Seriously?!

An infuriated bystander protests, "You mean to tell us this is some stupid hotel when our lives are on the line? I would much prefer to leave this instant and buy a hotel room back on Earth!"

In which, Murim sighs mockingly, "Woman, the only way to escape this place is through death. When you die, you won't even return to your planet, you may as well stay."

Such cold words freeze us in our place. Our only choices are death or doing our best to survive for as long as possible, which could also mean death at the end anyway.

"Do not be so afraid humans. The more you kill monsters, the more likely you are to survive. I shall now teach you the basics on skill activation and points in this world."

I better pay attention and do what I can for now.

It's actually surprising how simple it is to put points into skills and buy from the store. All you need to say, or think are, "Open shop" and "Open Profile".

Unfortunately, it seems that I haven't received a single point.

It's likely because I ran away instead of staying to fight the wolves like everyone else.

But I'm only a teenager. What do they even expect me to do? And besides, running away isn't stupid or cowardly, it's smart! In fact, it's a tactic that great warriors often used in war. Retreat one day to fight again another day!

"Yeah, that's totally what I was going for. I should've at least gotten some points... Hmph!"

Speaking of points, this store is pretty cool. It has lots of different weapons for me to choose from. It even has clothes and food.

"I guess that solves my previous worries."

This dagger seems pretty affordable. When I get enough points, I should be able to buy it.

Luckily, I can save any points I get since I already have some snacks.
