[Episode 13]
I'm a genius. I have keys!
Though they aren't the sharpest things in the world, I can totally make them sharper by rubbing them against rocks and If I manage to kill enough monsters, I can get enough points to buy a proper weapon!
I've been feeling really anxious about how I'd survive in the forest. Grinning from ear to ear, glad that I brought my keys, I release a slight yawn.
With all this in mind, I think I'll get some shut eyes and wake up early tomorrow. I remove a towel from my storage to cover myself and sleep for the rest of the day.
"Haaah-aaaahhhh..." After a while, I wake up yawning, feeling achy from sleeping on the hard floor. Looking up, rubbing my eyes, I notice the clock.
"11:30... What? 11:30!? Just how long did I sleep for?!"
Considering the time I went to sleep, I most definitely slept for more than nine hours so why am I still exhausted?
I should probably eat and examine my profile because in just 30 minutes we'll be sent back to the Bowa forest.
"(Yawn) Open Profile..."
---------------------------------
{Profile}
--------------------------------------------------------------
{Age: 17}
{Name: R.M}
{Gender: Male}
{Weapon(s): N/A}
{Total Spending Points: 0}
{Skill(s): Coward Trotter - Rank, C}
--------------------------------------------------------------
{Player Rank: 100}
---------------------------------
Everything looks as normal as usual but I'm still curious about what player rank means. It doesn't look that important so I'll probably figure it out eventually.
This 'Coward Trotter' skill, an obvious insult, could actually be useful. Despite the uninviting name, it's actually a 'C-rank' skill. I open a packet of crisps from my storage.
Scratching my head I continue, "Profile - Skills."
---------------------------------
{Coward Trotter (Rank, C)-
Passive Skill,
Allows User To Move Rapidly Like A Projectile,
Activation Only Possible When All Requirements Are Met,
Stats +5: Intelligence, Luck, Agility.
Bonus (Rare)- Skill Can Level Up With User.}
---------------------------------
Wow. Not only is it a 'Rank C' skill, but it also seems to have the rare ability to level up. On top of that, because it's based on intelligence, luck and agility, I get five additional points on each of those attributes.
Yesterday, Murim clearly explained to us that there are six different types of stats. Physical stats: Strength, agility and dexterity, and Mental stats: Intelligence, wisdom, luck and charisma.
For each of the stats, everyone has a base number of five, depending on what your skill is based on, you can get extra points put into them.
If we take Fuyu, that girl with the two 'A-rank' snow skills from yesterday, she has 20 points for wisdom and intelligence, 18 points for charisma and dexterity and 12 points for the other three stats.
Unlike her, I only have 10 intelligence, agility and luck and 5 points for the others. Clearly, whoever is in charge of this Pietra place is quite biased towards pretty girls.
Unfortunately, despite turning into a girl myself now, I can't exactly say that I have any redeeming physical features. In other words, I'm pretty average looking. I'd say the only good asset of mine is my hair.
Ah! Now that my afro has grown nearly three times its original size, I'm sure some people will look for a chance to touch it without my permission. Another reason why I'd much rather stay away from others.
Looking around again, there's actually a respectable number of dark-skinned people like me. I would love to people how they've been maintaining their natural hair but I've already decided to stay away from strangers.
From what Murim said before, there are 100 people here. From that, I'd say about 20 of the 100 people are black and black biracial.
It's certainly more than I usually see in otherworldly comics and video games. Makes sense since reality is different from fiction. Though, this whole situation doesn't seem very plausible.
As long as every continent is covered and not just a single country, It's actually understandable that people from a range of ethnicities on Earth are sent to this world.
But to be honest, the main point here is that there are other, 'Can I touch your hair?' sacrifices which means that I won't have to go through with that whole ordeal.
Most of them seem to be gathering in groups together due to similarities in skin colours.
Since I'm a solitary black person, I might get bombarded with random requests to touch my hair.
Damn. Maybe I should join them.
I think everyone already grouped up together when I was sleeping and joined eachother based on ethnicities, fashion sense and beliefs.
Well, it's none of my business since I don't plan to join any but the fact that It's time teleport is my business.
