An Alpha. A person who has both the energies, Kiyo and Akuma. They can have a past which may contain good memories and bad memories but when bad memories and good memories try to overthrow each other to make one energy exist, the one which has the most will to stay will exist and the other will cease to exist.
Hayami has had a decent past but one event turned her heart completely black. From that day on, she has had both energies. Though she knew she had both the energies even before, she couldn't control it much. When she saw the power she held having Akuma that day, she knew she immediately needed to know how to control it.
Akemi was staring at the girl with wide eyes. "So you're telling me, you have the highest power of energy?" Akemi asked her. Hayami had turned her head to the side in embarrassment but she hesitantly nodded. "What happened that turned your heart dark?" Akemi asked curious about the girl. Hayami chose not to answer the question. "Whatever happened, you're amazing!" Akemi exclaimed. Hayami looked at her and saw nothing but pure innocence and joy. Hayami, for the first time, felt her heart swell with happiness. Somebody was happy for her. Hayami just nodded. "Let's continue," Hayami said. Akemi and Azuma groaned. "Whaaatt?" Hayami asked, dragging her word out like a groan. "I'm still dusted up from the training" Akemi excused herself. "My legs have officially stopped working for me," Azuma said. Hayami looked at them both with disbelief but let them go because it was just the first day.
"Alright, I have to go," Hayami said and walked away, right through the door. Akemi and Azuma waved their goodbye's as well. After Akemi had dusted herself off, Azuma offered to drop her to her room. "Quite the gentleman, I see" Akemi teased him and he just chuckled at the comment. "Do you train with her often?" Akemi asked him. She was just trying to make conversation so the silence doesn't take over. "Mhmm, well not quite" He hummed and nodded. "She's on the top amongst all our warriors to the point where even Miya-sama praises her and keep her close. So most people get scared about thinking to even train with her but I thought differently" Azuma said. He seemed to be going on a rant but she didn't mind, she can get to know him well. "I had 2 other people who used to train with us. When we saw her fight one day was when I decided to train with her. So we 3 went up to her and asked for the favour. She seemed sceptical and unsure at first but she agreed. A week into the training the other 2 quit because of major pain in the muscles but I continued to go. I felt those pain too and it does hurt a lot but I continued to go because I wanted to be strong and..." Azuma dazed off.
Akemi turned to him when he suddenly stopped mid-sentence. "And what?" Akemi asked him. The boy shook his head and turned to the side, a slight red creeping on his features. "I probably shouldn't say," He said. Akemi pouted. "You can say me anything but if you can't then don't" Akemi was playing her game. "Okay listen, I haven't said this to anyone but I really need to otherwise I'm going to burst," He said. Akemi immediately nodded. "I love Hayami," Azuma said it out. Akemi gasped out. "So the flirting was true!" She exclaimed. "I flirted with you too," He said. Akemi titled her head to the side. "Heh? you did?" Akemi asked and he looked at her, unbelievably. Azuma shook his head to try and take this small convo out of his head. "Anyways, you're her best friend or whatever so please don't say this to her," Azuma said, folding his hands together. Akemi nodded but moreover, her eyes shined at the fact that she had a best friend. She never even had a friend before so having her seemed like a blessing.
"We're here," Azuma said. Akemi looked at the door and then at him. "Do I have a roommate?" She asked. He nodded. "It's Koto, herself," He said. Akemi's face brightened up at that. "Come say hi!" She said and pulled him in. "No no-" Before he could protest they were already in and Hayami was looking at them. "Oh hey. I thought you didn't know about the room so I was about to come out. Azuma, hey" Hayami said and waved to Azuma. Azuma seemed flustered and he gave back a small wave. Hayami placed her hands on her hips and stared at the boy. "Azu, you always do this. Why are you so flustered whenever you come to my room?" Hayami asked. Akemi looked at the boy, very intrigued by his potential answer. He just shook his head and walked out. Hayami huffed and turned around. "This boy and his hormones" She muttered to herself.
"Or maybe it's whats you're wearing" Akemi commented. Hayami looked at her. "What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Hayami asked completely clueless but Akemi could see it. Hayami was wearing a sleeveless, tight top and shorts, something a teenage boy in love can't handle. Akemi chose not to answer the question. "You look good, never mind," Akemi said waving her hands in the air. Hayami just pouted and continued to spread her bedsheet. "You are on the window side" Hayami informed her. "Uh sure but why?" Akemi asked with no particular reason. "It's my duty to protect you" Hayami simply answered. Akemi was slightly shocked but happy. "Fulfilling your duty even when you're asleep, huh?" Akemi teased, spraying her own bedsheet. "Mhmm, I'm a loyal warrior," She said climbing onto the bed. Akemi chuckled and got onto her own bed.
There was utter silence for a long time when Akemi spoke out. "Are you my best friend?" Akemi asked, staring up at the ceiling. "Huh?" Hayami asked. "I've never had a best friend so the thought of having you as my best friend seems nice," Akemi said. There was no response for a while. "Being best friends comes with many promises but the most important one is being loyal and never betraying the other" Hayami said. "I'll do anything it takes to fulfil all those" Akemi said. "Then yes, I'm your best friend," Hayami said, sitting up on her left elbow and stretching out her right hand for Akemi to shake. When Akemi looked up at her, she saw the biggest smile on Hayami's face then she's ever seen before. Akemi gladly shook her hand and both of them laid back down. "I think that's the first time I'm seeing your smile," Akemi said. "I have a beautiful one, no?" Hayami praised herself. Akemi laughed. "Yeah, yeah". Hayami laughed as well.
More silence took over and Akemi was finally about to fall asleep when Hayami spoke out. "Do you really want to know?" Hayami asked looking up at the ceiling. Akemi turned her head towards Hayami and she stayed still. "Know what?" Akemi asked. "About my past," Hayami said. Akemi immediately sat up. To be honest, she has been thinking of the ways Hayami's heart could have turned black but she didn't find a solid one. Though her curiosity takes her places she didn't want to prick Hayami with the topic because it seemed sensitive. Akemi nodded and Hayami slightly sighed.
Her back story begins here, something dark that crushed her.
