CHAPTER 38

"Lets elope." said Timothy as they lay on the bed with Helen resting her head on his chest. She opened her eyes and blinked twice before asking him to repeat what he had said

"I said lets elope. You and i were made for each other Helen let's elope and go live freely and happy. With our child."

"Shut up!" she snapped getting up to sit, "The fact that i just opened my legs for you doesn't mean i want to be with you. This is a once off Timothy...like always."

"Helen listen..."

"No you listen. You are going to get out of my bed get dressed leave my room and never come back again. Go!" Timothy lingered for a bit before slowly getting out of the bed. In a just a black boxer, he picked up his clothes and headed to the bathroom leaving Helen to wonder if she had made a mistake again. She didn't see herself being with Timothy it was Joshua she wanted. How she wished he wanted her too but no, it just had to be Timothy! She had been playing cat and mouse with her father ever since he asked for her so called boyfriend's number and she was getting tired of it. She knew she had to come with a permanent solution and that too fast. Just as she was still thinking Timothy walked out all dressed and looking like he hadn't been making her scream his name moments ago

"I will get going." he said voice void of emotion. Helen slipped back into the blankets as if she hadn't heard him but at point that Timothy had grown tired of being made a play toy by both father and daughter. Helen could hear his footsteps as he drew closer and as she removed the blanket, she found him sitting on the bed right next to her and staring intensely at her

"You do remember i told you that i will do whatever it takes to have you right?" he whispered, his voice sending chills down her spine. She stared back trying to hide her fear, his eyes had grown red and she knew he was angry

"You are going to elope with me Helen whether you like it or you don't. I grew up struggling, my mother had nothing but at least she was there and my father, i grew up imagining what dude possibly looked like and now that you are carrying my seed you want me to leave him to suffer the same fate? No Helen you have to be kidding me i am not doing that!"

"Ttim listen...i am not struggling i am...."

"It doesn't matter what you are!" he shouted making her shudder and move back

"Helen Mathe, I will not sit here and watch you give my child to another man. Oh you think i don't know you been planning to pin the pregnancy on some rich Kenyan dude? I'm your father's right hand-man he tells me almost everything."

"You...you are scaring me, leave my room." she stuttered avoiding eye contact

"I am giving you three days, just three to pack your bags and be ready to go. If you dare run to your father, i will run to the police and i will sing. Although you still in denial, i know you know your father is no saint!"

"Missing your mom again?" asked Joshua once Julia entered the living room. She was in a white shirt accompanied by a black slack, red pair of shiny heels and red coat completing the look

"Haha i guess i am." she said glancing at the neck piece she wore whenever she missed the woman then back at Joshua, "Amanda must be waiting for me by now i will be back in a few hours." she said bidding farewell and walking out. She just hoped he never found out it wasn't Amanda she was going to have dinner with but someone bigger.

"Hey." he got up and walked over only to pull her into a hug. Surprised, Julia just stood saying nothing on one hand he was asking her to fix things with Raymond while on the other he was giving her mixed signals. She had become one confused woman

"You should tell Raymond everything. He will understand." he whispered before letting go, "Enjoy your dinner." he smiled at her confused face. Without saying a thing Julia walked out, only to deal with her emotions as soon as she entered the taxi she had hired. After she took off, Joshua left for his room where he immediately changed into a black overall accompanied by similarly black gloves. He stood by the mirror for a bit looking back at the man staring at him.

"You got this. You always have." he whispered before covering his head in a black cap. He was determined to walk out, complete the job and come back home like he always did. He and k53 had been tagged the best over the years, but it was time to determine who the real deal was. and he, was more than determined to come out supreme.

Julia walked into the presidential mansion to find the entire first family all settled and ready for dinner. The president sat by the head chair while his young wife whom Julia found rather full of herself sat next to him. At times she thought the president may have been made to consume some love portion because of the way he entertained her snobbish behavior, and besides, she wasn't even that pretty. Rumor even had it she never set foot into high school, and she pronounced words wrongly when giving a speech at national events. So overall she only knew how to wear makeup and spend money. After greeting everybody, she took a seat opposite their youngest daughter twelve year old Sandie, whom Julia was sure might just be the most spoilt kid in the entire universe.

"You look very pretty aunt Mel. I really like your neck piece can i have it?" she said grinning widely making Julia wish she would draw her closer and slap the daylight out of her

"No Sandi, I will buy you yours tomorrow." said Brenda the president's wife

"No mommy i want that one. Please give it aunt Mel give it i want it!" she insisted

"Sandi, how about a quiet dinner then you and your mom will go shopping tomorrow. you will get as many neck pieces as you want." said the president just as the food got piled onto the table

"No daddy i want that one! Aunty give it!" she screamed her voice echoing within the room. Julia inwardly cursed the day she had agreed to pause as the president's new found cousin few years after she started working for him. It was a great plan to avoid suspicion and questions but at that point it was beginning to backfire

"Mel please give it to her. She won't stop till she gets what she wants." she heard Brenda say and she wondered if the two parents were even African because in a real African home, such nonsense was never entertained. Such behavior was equal to an unforgettable beating

"Brenda, get her out of here." said Joel seeing Julia making no move to remove the necklace. She quietly went on to pour a glass of juice for herself and finished it at one go just as Brenda pulled a reluctant and screaming Sandi off the table and out of the room

"I'm so sorry about that, lets eat shall we I'm famished." said Joel clearing the atmosphere and Julie was just but glad to sink her teeth into the juicy looking chicken.
