Recap

After dinner, we were sent to our dormitories, but on my way there I saw...

Kateleen's P.O.V.

I can't believe what I am seeing, standing right in front of me is a guy that I have always had a crush on. Jeremy Ryder, Jason's older brother. Of all the things that could have happened today, this is what I see. Jeremy talking to his brother. I mean, come on let's get real. They are brothers and are really close, but did I really have to see HIM?

I didn't know that I was staring at him for long until I heard him say "You know, Kateleen, I know that I'm extremely hot, but you don't have to make it so obvious that you like me."

I'm so annoyed now, really annoyed, we have barely even seen each other for five minutes and already he is acting arrogant. After he said this I simply scoffed and said "Oh please Jeremy, you know very well that you're not that hot."

"Oh, really? Then what am I, if I'm not hot?" he asked with a smirk on his face.

"Hmm, let's see... You're arrogant, self-centered and you have an ego that's bigger than your head, and that says a lot" I said with a hand on my hip.

After I told him that he simply raised his eyebrow and said "Really Kateleen, is that all you can say about me?"

When he said that I just said "Whatever, Ryder, anyway, what are you doing here?"

"I should be asking you the same thing, but if you really must know I go to school here and I want to become a dermatologist and I was told that this school is one of the best. Now that you know, what's about you?" he said.

"I am here because my parents sent me here to further my education and to also be a pediatrician," I said.

"You, a pediatrician? Oh, that's a good one" Jeremy said pointing a finger at me and laughing, "I never knew you were so fond of kids."

"I am, I have always been, it's just that no one really knows about it. Nor have I told anybody about it, so you can consider yourself lucky."

"Okay, if you say so," he said, "So what really inspired you to become a pediatrician?"

"Well, the fact that I have younger siblings and since sometimes our parents would be busy at work and my sisters and I would take care of them and that's what really inspired me since I love to take care of them. So, what's about you? Why a dermatologist?"

"I want to become a dermatologist because I find it cool and also because I like to deal with the hair, skin, and nails and also since there are not many people interested in dermatology."

"Oh, okay I see, it makes sense, I guess."

"Yes, it's just something I like doing and wouldn't mind earning a living out of it. So what are you up to now?" Jeremy asked.

"I was just on my way to the dormitories and I saw you talking to Jason" I answered.

"And then you stopped to talk to me?" he finished.

"In your dreams Ryder, anyway, I had no choice since you obviously started talking to me."

Jeremy's P.O.V

I just headed back to school after having a fun time with my family. My little brother, Jason, is just starting college and we stopped by earlier to drop off our stuff and to get our new timetables. After getting our timetables and supplies needed, we decided to split up and get acquainted with our dorms and lockers.

On my way to my locker, I found a friend of mine that I haven't seen in years, Tyler, one of my two best friends.

We have been best friends since diapers, he knows me more than I know myself. When he saw me he said, "Hey bro, long time no see."

"Yes, it has been. Where were you man?"

"Well, I have been out of state for a few years to go to high school and start college and I just came back home.'

"Alrighty, would you like to spend the day with my family and me?"

"Sure, I would love to. I haven't seen them in a while."

"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

Whilst we were on our way to my truck, we were talking about what happened during the years that we haven't seen each other. I learned that he spent a few years with his father and stepmother and all the amazing stuff he did.

We finally arrived at my truck, we got in and I drove off to my parents' place. I told him that life hasn't been the same without him and that my family especially my little brother Jason, and my little sister Jaida, missed him and were always talking about him.

"Man, how I missed this place," Tyler said whilst we passed beautiful scenery.

"Good to know bro. By the way, what does it feel like to be back?" I asked him as I turned on the radio.

"There's no place like home, I can tell you that! Hey, leave it there I love this song" he said whilst I changed the station back to a song 'Hello' by Adele.

"You haven't changed now, have you?" I asked him whilst he sang along.

"You know me man, besides, who doesn't like Adele and her songs?"

"Yeah, true that!"

Many songs and changing stations later, we finally arrived at my parents' place. They being surprised to see Tyler, was an understatement. They practically ran out to greet him! I don't mind anyway, since they do treat him like their own son and he's always welcome to my house when he wants.

Walking into the house I see my little sister watching TV. She was so engrossed with her favourite TV show, she didn't realize that I was there. Only when I said, "Hey, little sis, what's up?" That's when she turned around and saw me, then ran to meet me. I picked her up and brought her to Tyler.

When he saw her he said, "Hey, chica. How are you?"

After he said that, she simply smiled and said, "Estoy Bien chico."

When she said that he was pleased that his Spanish lessons finally paid off since he's half Spanish, his mom is from Spain so that's where he got it from. She used to live in Spain but moved to the US.

After our greetings and laughter, my parents came back into the house and said, "Since Tyler is here, why don't we go to the beach and play beach volleyball."

We all agreed and waited to see what my parents have in store.
