Wedding Bells Are Ringing

The one waitress, yes the one that was taking our orders, leaned over the counter, wayy to much cleavage showing in her work clothes, and said seductively, "Can I get you anything?"

She smiled and winked and Liam seemed taken back by her bluntness.

I have no idea why, but I was angry with her for flirting with him.

'As it he's your boyfriend. Why do you care?' my inner voice sassed me.

She's right. Why do I care?

I took a ketchup packet and started eating it. Don't ask why, I have no idea. I don't even like ketchup.

I peaked back over to where Liam was. The slutty waitress was sliding a piece of paper across the counter, which I guess had her number. She rubbed her finger across his chest and purred. Gross.

The ketchup packet busted open, spewing ketchup all over my blouse.

Great.

"I'm going to the bathroom to clean up this", I muttered. Spence laughed and I rolled my eyes and started to walk to the bathroom.

To reach the bathroom, I had to pass Liam and that disgusting waitress.

Liam looked at me from the side of his eye as I walked to the female bathroom.

I yanked open the door and took off my blouse. The only undergarment I had on was my bra. I turned on the tap and took a few napkins and attempted to wipe out the ketchup stains from my blouse.

Withins 5 seconds, the stain only seemed to spread. I groaned and cursed. I was stuck in the bathroom of a Cafe downtown, with no top.

The door opened and I attempted to hide my exposed chest with my wet blouse. Liam was standing in the doorway, his hand still on the knob.

His eyes changed to a golden color and he looked at me, sniffed the air, and screamed, 'Mate!'

He walked towards me and pulled me to his chest.

It seemed as if fireworks had exploded in my body. Sparks flew through my body and I felt as if I was flying. I felt as if I was high on a drug, that I couldn't get more of.

Liam sniffed my neck. He was so close to me that I could feel his hot breath on my skin.

"Get off me", I said although I loved being close to him.

Liam sniffed my neck and placed a wet kiss on my neck before he licked me.

"What happened to your shirt?", he asked me.

"Why do you care, go back to your flavor of the week."

" I can't leave you", he growled.

He took off his own shirt, and handed it to me, which I didn't even realize because of how intently I was staring at his abs. I licked my lips and thought about what it would feel like to run my hand over his chest. His body.

I shook my head of the dirty thoughts that had gathered and looked up to see a smirking Liam.

"Like what you see?", he asked cockily.

"I've seen better", I lied.

I grabbed the shirt from him and walked into a stall to put it on. It smelled like bubble gum and cinnamon.

When I walked back out, he was gone.

MONDAY EVENING

Monday after school, I went straight home and barged into my room. Saying that I was bored, was completely a understatement. No one was home, so I had no one to torment. I changed out of my school clothes and pulled on a Jean shorts and my longest sweatshirt. I opened a can of strawberry jam and stuck my finger in it. I know, I know, it's disgusting and I'll mannered, but I just love strawberry jam. In the meantime, I popped a packet of popcorn in the fridge and took a spoon out of the drawer in the kitchen and dropped myself on the couch. I opened Netflix and scanned through movies to watch.

"Hmm, let's see. What's good to watch?", I asked myself. Riverdale caught my eye, so I clicked on it and started watching it.

My phone started ringing and I got up to answer it.

"Hello", I blurted into the phone, a bit irritated because Riverdale was getting good.

"Emerald!", my mom's voice called from the phone. "Mom, why are you calling my phone. Are you in an accident? Did you crash into a truck? Oh, God, mom please tell me you're alright."

"Emerald honey, you are too dramatic", my mom laughed through the phone. " Can you come down to the store please?"

"Sure. Give me five minutes." I hanged up the phone and went upstairs to change. When I looked slightly better, I ran downstairs where there was smoke flooding the kitchen. The fire alarm was going crazy and I saw smoke pouring out of the microwave.

"Oh shit", I cursed. The popcorn! I grabbed a pot holder and opened the microwave door, cautiously, just incase anything flew up in my face.

I grabbed the burning packet of popcorn and threw it in the sink, and turned on the tap.

I tried swatting away the smoke and soon enough, the kitchen didn't smell so much like smoke anymore.

I grabbed my car keys and got in my car and started driving to my parent's store.

In a few minutes, I parked outside and opened the door.

"Emerald!", an almost familiar voice announced my arrival.

It was Melissa, my mom's friend.

"Hi Melissa, nice to see you", I said as my air supply was cut short for a millisecond. You know, they love to kill you while hugging you.

"You're getting so big!", she squealed.

"Yup. Almost an adult", I said which made mom raise and eyebrow.

"When's your birthday again?", she asked. I told her it would be next week Friday.

"That's great", she squealed. "Any boys? ", she asked wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

"Nope, they're all ugly", I snorted.

Melissa laughed, slapping her knees. "You're so much like your mom."

"So Emerald, the reason you are here is because you are a expert on wedding rings. And I need you to help me to pick out a ring. Sounds good?"

"Yup!", I said popping the 'p'.

With the blink of an eye, I found the perfect ring.

"It's perfect", Melissa breathed out.

Mom agreed and took the ring and Melissa took out the money to pay for the ring refusing a discount.

"See you at the wedding", Melissa said as she waved to us and climbed in her buggy.

"Oh I can't wait to see you get married", mom said gripping my cheeks gently.

"Not anytime soon", I laughed, which caused mom to through her head back and laugh also.
