A mansion

After a few hours (2 hours if we're being precise) of nagging the hell out of my best friend and eating snacks from the gas station, we finally reach at Liam's house. I had no idea this was where Spencer was bringing me but I want to get out of the car because being in one place for too long gives me anxiety. I can't stop moving or else I'll die... like a shark. But back to Liam's house. It is huge. Enormous, tremendous, gigantic. Call it what you will. Liam's house was something to die for, literally. "What does he do for a living?," I ask Spencer curiously my moth still gaping at how luxurious his three story house was. "Bill Gates is his sugar daddy," Spencer responds with a straight face. She laughs then hits me on the back as we both get out of the car. "You should have seen your face!," she snickers. "He sells crack," she tries again and bursts out in uncontrollable laugher and I joined her. She wipes tears from her eyes and then turns serious. "Liam owns a few businesses here and there: hotels, restaurants, etc. And quite a few other things" she adds. I nod quite impressed at the information on Liam and we both climb the steps leading up to the house. "Are you sure my parents are here?," I ask for the jillionth time. I trust Spencer, I do, but it's confusing to me as why they would be here, at Liam's house. Spencer turns to face me. "I'm not going to kidnap you if that's what you're worried about. There's just some things that need to be explained," she rolls her eyes and say. She laughs nervously, which is suspicious because Spencer never gets nervous. This girl got held up at a bank when she was 15 and just did what the robber told her as if it were a normal day in her life. If that was me, I would probably just tell the robber to kill me right there. My eyes are darting around and I spot a person almost engulfed in the shadows but still in sight. I pull at my best friend's elbow. "Who's he?," The shadow has the built of a man, so I suggest it might be one. Spencer opens the door and tells me not to worry because they're for 'protection'. Whatever that means. The interior of the house is more dazzling than the outside. A glass chandelier hangs up above lighting the entire place and I look around observing some of the small stuff: there are three staircases, one on either side and one in the middle. Golden railings seem to sparkle in the light and the marble floor is just so chefs kiss. "How can I help you beta Spencer?," a man in a tuxedo with a Russian accent asks. Why is he dressed up so like that? And what did he just call Spencer? I look to Spencer and she looks even more nervous than before. She looks at the man and they appear to have a staring contest before the man walks away. "That was weird," I countered. I was about to go to the stair way when Spencer stopped me. "It'd be better if we too the elevator," she said, "if we take the stairs it'll take two hundred decades to reach up stairs." I follow Spencer to the elevator, she presses a number I can't quite see and before we know it we're up to the second floor. I try to stop admiring the mahogany floor and Spencer leads me into a large room designed to look like a almost office. And inside are my parents, who I had come here to see. And beside them was Liam. His back was to me, but when he turned around and looked at me straight in the eyes, I felt my stomach do a flip and my heart started to beat faster. He did dangerous things to me, things that he couldn't even imagine.

LIAM'S POV:

When I return home, I take a shower and throw on a black T-shirt and jeans and mindlink my beta, Spencer. 'She's using the bathroom and for the billionth time, she is okay. You can stop checking up on me every second; I will protect Emerald until the last breath leaves my body.' I knew she meant that, Spencer is a loyal friend to Emerald and would protect her without blinking. With Spencer's words, I felt like a heavy burden was lifted from my shoulders, and my heart, and I could relax and breathe.. a little. Emerald' s mom and Dad were here, for I asked fo their presence plus in a selfish way I wanted Emerald to come here. She smelt funny, like a intoxicating smell that I couldn't quite place my finger on. She seemed so different from everyone else and when she was in the same room as I was in then my heart would jump like leap frogs. My wolf was restless also, which was totally out of the norm. He seemed to be a bit down from the other day but he didn't talk about it so I left him to sort out his issues. I talked to Emerald's parents about what happened: how she got kidnapped and so on but I didn't tell them about what I thought. I didn't want any one to know until I was sure. Only Spencer and my third in command knew that. I was still talking to Emerald's parents, trying to get her dad to calm down, Emily was trying but her husband wanted to rip the heads off of the wolves that dare touch his daughter, when I felt a presence in the room. Something stirred in me and I spun around to see Emerald looking straight at me. She stared into my eyes and I got overwhelmed by how beautiful she was; she took my breath away all the time. She stopped looking at me and her gaze focused on her parents who were glad to see her. That girl did dangerous things to me, dangerous things.
