Chapter 23: Indenial Part 1

Althaea Cassidy's Pov

We are currently walking in the mall with my bestfriend, Gin. We have two days off from work.

It was very busy these following weeks. I am really tired however it motivated me when I had read some novels there.

I was proofreading and editing of it because that would be the work of an assistant editor. My bestfriend is a graphic designer so we're working in different room and department assigned.

She sighed. "I'm hungry now, bez! Can we eat?" said Gin while her arms touched mine.

She is rubbing her stomach that a sign we should proceed to the near fastfood chains.

"Yeah, we will. Where do you want to eat, by the way?" I asked her first when staring my eyes around to look for the place with meal.

"Galbee. I thought it was nearer to us. What do you think?" As she pointed out the fastfood chain that she reffered to.

"Let's go." I pulled her until we got inside but it stopped when there's suddenly women carrying a notebook on her hand approached us.

"Are you the MissThaea who singing in Youtube?" I leaned to my bestfriend first. "You are so pretty in person aside of having a beautiful voice." It smiled me of what she said.

When I was staying here, it started me uploading cover songs to my YTok channel.

"Thank you." As my response.

"Can you write your signature here in the lower part of my notebook as a remembrance?Then, take a picture." She immediately took the cellphone in her bag and reached for Gin to take pictures of us.

"Many thanks, MissThaea and I will try again to look for your next cover on YouTube." After that the women walked away, we were currently proceeding to the Galbee.

"Oh, my best friend! I can't believe that you are famous music uploader now." As Gin's commented while still munching the fries.

"I didn't expect it that there are fans who really know me." I just said while eating.

I am rushing to the elevator as walking to my unit room. It was first landed on bed until my cellphone suddenly rang and I saw Zen is the dialer.

"Hello hubby!" My sweet greeting to him.

"Hi wifey! How's your roaming with Gin?" He asked.

"It's good and here I am on my bedroom resting now and tomorrow, we will go back to work. And you?" I heard his laughter on the other line.

"I'm right here just relaxing for awhile and later there will be a meeting with the client." He answered and I felt that he was already tired.

"You should be rest hubby first." I was concerned about him while sitting sitting with touching my phone.

"Don't worry about me, wifey. The important is that I can talk to you now because I missing you so much." It can't avoid me for pouting my lips.

"I missed you too, hubby. Be careful and do not make yourself hungry, uh?" As my reminder to him and he smiled at me.

"Sure wifey and after this trip, I will hug you tightly then we will eat together anywhere you want." I heard him grinning from the other line.

"Alright, hubby so you may now take a rest. Padaba taka and you know that." I said while pouting my lips. (Padaba taka- I love you)

"What is it, wifey ? I don't understand what you said!" As he asked with confusion. It repeated to him again.

"Padaba taka means I love you in English." My explanation while leaning on his face.

"Is that the Bicol dialect?" He asked.

"Yes, hubby. What do you think of me? Your girlfriend is a Bicolana, right?" As I uttered.

"You're so sweet, my wifey. I think you may rest ahead and I love you."

After our conversation, I tried to lie down on my bed for a moment.

I came early because it needed to have an overtime up to 7:00PM in order to finish proofreading this novel.

"Did you take an overtime, later?" Gin asked me while setting the foods we ordered.

"Yes and you?" As turning myself to her from having my lunch.

"So, I'll take an overtime too and need to check more about my cover illustrations if there are something wrong."

After eating our lunch, we immediately returned to our work and a several hours have passed, it gradually stretched out my arms to drink some hot coffee landed on the table and focus again to my stuff here.

Whereas I am editing every chapters of the story, it can avoid me to read the story. So I am here now, starting to browse the the episode. It took me longer to stay in the novel as I reviewing it. I can't prevent myself from pouring my tears.

The story seems make me really sad and it reminds me about Athena's accident. Afterwards, it didn't aware me that already late so I hurriedly finished fixing this chapter and I would continue tomorrow.

The time strikes to 7:00PM therefore I saw Gin is approaching me now. I am shutting down the computer. She is looking confused.

"Oh, why are you not yet done fixing yourself?" She also leaned at her wristwatch. "It's been 7:10, bez. Why are you turning off your computer just now?" She complained.

"I did not notice, sorry. Please wait for me. I will fix myself instantly." I told when combing my hair and putting make up on my face. It's twenty minutes have passed that there was a taxi arrived.

I am feeling thankful since we were already tired from work and still waited for us to drive home.

A few moments I finally arrived on my apartment and also waved a goodbye to my friend, Gin.

I'm currently walking in the aisle way to the room wherein I am residing for. It startled me when there is a guy standing beside my unit and seems waiting for someone.

I covered with nervousness whereas he looks familiar. I don't what to do if it is to remain or just leave. His face is covered by the hoodie he wears.

I still proceed to my room until found out who the guy was? It's Greige! How did he know my address?

I can feel uncomfortable right now until it stopped me from strolling and he noticed me. I saw him in an cold expression that usually have observed in the past when he's disgusted.

It was anger that marked on his face and I don't know why so it makes me move backward.

"You are Athena's twin sister that she told me." As he stated with a smirk on his face. He still staring at me intensively from head to toe.

"How…did you…know my address?" My voice started to stutter.

"I have been investigating about you after Athena revealed the truth." He said seriously.

"So all the time after I arrived here there's a strange about you then it just her sister pretending as my girlfriend. I knew that you've changed for same good but when Athena told me everything, it makes me more mad about the two of you." He added with full of frustrations on his voice however I just let him to speak.

It seems all my feelings for him is back. After several months, I thought that I was already moved on yet still here and it almost want to hug him by my arms.

Notwithstanding, he is really different right now. He is full of anger and it regrets me so much that I didn't intent to hurt him this way. Greige is like a monster now that can't really talk to him like before.

"I am sorry." As I am apologized and the reason he covered his face.

"How dare to say sorry after you have done with your sister? After you used me for your own sake and lied to me just to accomplish your plans?" He shouted at me that made my eyes teared again.

I didn't see him like this with full of disgusting on his expression.

"You did it to me because of money. Then you're saying sorry for that?" He emphasized that I used him as keep yelling it out on me.

It was unexpectedly slapped him that his right cheek turned to red. He is over. He didn't not know what I have felt doing that.

He have no right to insult me because he didn't know the whole story.

"You have no right to say that word because you badly witness how much I was hurting to do that plan for the sake of my parents to survive our company we had. I am on unbearably no choice but accepted it." As I stated to him while wiping my tears then just left Greige there without hearing a word.

I hurriedly went to my bedroom and let the the tears flowing until it make me fall asleep.
