Mireille

Is that what you call a 'ghost'? I tilt my head, focusing my sight on the lady in front. Seeing an unfamiliar figure with a candle, she flinched. She stands on her wobbly legs, staggering backwards.

Is she the one responsible for the murders? Can someone frail like her do that? That's not entirely implausible if she had weapons and if she used some careful planning. If I'm correct, she may still have her poisoned weapons with her. Better be careful.

I calmly step forward, trying not to agitate the person, as I get more close to her, the familiarity of her features grows. My memory does some background work and recalls her. The lady in front looks like the maid who was together with Marie, her sister. Holly was the name.

"Holly?" I ask dubiously, as if I'll get an answer out of her. I can't believe the meek and shy maid to be doing this. There's got to be a mistake right?
