Real World Market

Obcisor walked out of the Hunter's Guild.

He had 10 days to complete the quest. Since 10 days in-game was 2 days in the real world, he had to complete the quest by noon on Sunday.

'Shouldn't be very hard.' He thought.

-I got a quest from the hunter's guild and will go fight the spiders. You can log out if you want-

-It's okay uncle. I will stay around a little longer.-

Having sent and received messages from Slow Pyre, Obcisor decided to go to the spider dungeon a little bit later. First, he had to see if there was any way he could get stronger.

In his fight against David, he had realized how hopelessly useless he was in front of strong enemies. He needed to find some spells that could help him against those types of foes.

He had worried too much about how to deal more damage to enemies but never considered the possibility of what he would do if he couldn't even touch his enemy.

He was awakened with very high agility for his rank in real life. So, he never had to face this problem since he would always fight someone in his own rank or just a little bit higher.

Now that he knew he could face enemies way stronger and faster than him, he needed to find a way to damage them.

He couldn't remember anything that would be useful to him in the skill store he visited earlier. So, he decided to check on the market.

He opened the in-game market and started looking for skill scrolls. He got shocked when he realized there were barely any.

'What? People don't put up skills on the market?' he thought. He looked at whatever skills were on the market but soon realized a big problem he had overlooked in a hurriedness to find skills.

He was out of gold.

He had 4K from the wolf materials in Blue Keep City and 92K from the Unique item [Slime's Protection]. In total, he had 96K before he left for Raven City.

To come to Raven City, the teleportation had cost him 5K gold. He had then bought the necessary items, a Map and the [Observe] skill, both of which cost him 15K and 10K respectively.

He also bought another skill, [Zap], which cost him 25K.

He then bought the [Twin Dagger] which had cost him 30K.

In total, he had spent 85K gold by now and had only 7K gold remaining. But, even the cheapest skills were being sold for at least 10K gold.

'What do I do now?' he wondered. Should he fight the spiders and earn some money? What if the spider-mother were just as strong as David? That was very unlikely, but he couldn't ignore the possibility.

'Oh, that's right. The real-world market. How do I access that?' he searched around the settings but couldn't find one. It seemed he would have to log out for a while.

Adler got out of his capsule and got on the bed.

He opened his wricon and searched for 'Path of Glory Real-world Market' and soon found his way to the market.

The wricon automatically signed him up as Obcisor since it was connected to Adler's profile.

It opened up his profile and he could see his current inventory. It showed everything from seasoned bread to his twin daggers.

He then opened the actual market. The market layout was very similar to the in-game market, but...

'Wow, there is so much stuff being sold here.' His eyes dazzled like a child in a candy store.

This was a true market. If this market was a supermarket, then the in-game market would at most be a small retail store.

Just on the front page of the market, he could already see quite a few skills being sold. Every single page on the market listed around 50 items and there were over 1000 pages of items being sold.

Not to mention, this was just the normal market. There was an entire auction section with possibly more sales.

He got interested in the auction and opened it up to check.

He sorted it by the highest price and was immediately shocked.

The highest-priced item on the auction was a Halberd, named 'Scorpion Tailed Halberd, with Unique rarity and level 200 restriction. It had about 400 STR bonus, which was more than Adler had total in the game.

There were also other fantastic stats like 200 Agility and 20% absolute damage and a few skills.

The Halberd was being sold for over $150K. Adler was absolutely shocked. It was an auction, so $150K was just the lowest bid for it, and more than 7 days were remaining on the auction.

It would surely cross over 200K when actually sold.

Adler thought of something and put in some keywords in the search filter. He searched for items with 20% magic resistance and Unique in rarity.

The search resulted in only 5 items, all of them over level 100 in restriction and very nice stats as well.

They were all being sold for around $30~40K.

'Shit' I should have just stayed put and asked the brother-sisters what to do. Instead, I sold it almost half its actual value.

Adler had a lot of money in the bank, but he needed to keep that there. He could just use that money for now, but he wanted to buy a house for himself and didn't know how much it would cost for a good house.

He had realized that the value of money had inflated after a hundred years and that he might still need to find more money to buy a home.

He couldn't always stay with his niece after all. And if he sold more mana stone, the government might get suspicious as to how much he had.

They should have already found out about the thousands of mana stones he sold but didn't do anything since they thought it was all he amassed in his time in the dungeon.

If they found out he had more, they might come bothering him and he really didn't want to be bothered.

"Whatever. I will just buy some. Think of it as an investment." He said to himself and went back to the normal market to search for some skills.

He didn't want to waste time on the auction constantly checking the market to see if someone had outbid him or not.

He filtered the search by 'Warrior' class restriction and started looking at every single skill he could use.

He needed to find a skill that he could use, a that would fit into his current set of skills and a skill that would help him fight someone stronger than him. Preferably all in one.

The system showed him around 2000 skills he could use separated into 100 pages. He didn't want to go through all that. So he sorted the skill by rarity.

The highest rarity skill being sold was Unique skills. He started going through the skills one by one.

Most of the skills being sold to warriors were ones that increased their damage or gave some sort of AOE damage.

If it was any other time, he would've bought them without hesitation. But now that he had [Air Slash] and [Zap] he wasn't really worried about AOE damage.

He kept on looking and finally, he found one that he could use.
