Letting It All Out

Wadetre ran through the forest, not knowing where she is going.

Wadetre tripped over a root of a tree, falling on to her face, scrapping her knees and elbows. She just lay there, only now letting all her tears come out.

'It's all my fault.'

She just lay there crying, not moving, not feeling like moving. She just wanted the Earth to come up and swallow her. She wants to die, but is not brave enough to. She wants to pray to the Gods, but what have the Gods done for her? She wants to go back to Yamatar and cry in her arms, but would Yamatar still accept her. Most of all she wanted Adelo to take her in his arms and hold her forever. But would he still have his childish innocence that she loved so much?

Yamatar pleaded to Adelo. But Adelo refused. The wound on his leg had not healed, but he still chooses to run. With a last glance at his mother he turned and started to chase after Wadetre. Even though she had a good half hour ahead of him.

Yamatar watched him run with sadness in her eyes. She wants Adelo to find Wadetre and bring her back safely, but she did not want anything bad to happen to Adelo. She had already lost one child. She would not be able to handle losing another.

Yamatar turned to the body. She bit her lower lip and thought of what to do with it.

She cleaned the blood from the side of the head with a wet cloth. She then started to braid Feltress' hair with freshly gathered flowers. She lifted the body and placed it on a raft that Adelo would sometimes use to fish. She sent the raft out to sea. She sung the song of the dead as the raft slowly sailed away.
