Chapter-31: Genins Pursuit team vs Sound four (Part 1)

(MC POV)

After Shikamaru was called, I informed him about the situation and he began thinking.

"I will need a team fully composed of chunnins and jonins for the mission." He responded after thinking a bit.

"Not possible. Most jonins and chunnins are on missions currently and I want you to gather genins that are considered best for the mission and leave for the village. Time is the essence of this mission so you should hurry now." I said.

"What a drag..." He said in an inaudible tone.

He promptly left to assemble the team.

I made sure to create this sort of situation.

Sending away jonins and chunnins for missions was a part of plan.

Now, I just need to patiently wait.

Maybe have some popcorn to see the fights?

I am confident that Sasuke will be able to leave easily.

I will kill him myself if he cannot win against the genin group after so much training.

(Shikamaru POV)

After getting the details on the mission, I was in a bad situation.

I would usually train with my old man now but this is a big hassle...

I quickly thought about all the genins in chunnin exams.

I think they'd be way stronger and they are already more or less chunnin in terms of strength.

I picked out Choji because I can coordinate better with him.

Rock Lee, because his taijutsu is really strong, even chunnin or jonin would have trouble trying to fight him.

Naruto because he can overwhelm and surprise him opponents. He will be good for fighting and distraction.

Kiba because of his tracking abilities with his ninken.

Neji and Hinata because of their strong sensing abilities and taijutsu.

I sought all of them out but Hinata was traveling with her sister as well as her father out of Konoha.

The team contains Choji, Me, Naruto, Rock lee, Kiba and Neji.

I think this mission is going to be rough.

After forming a strategy, I informed everyone about the mission.

"Uchiha Sasuke has defected due to works of Orochimaru. We need to be in follow him and bring him back to the village. The enemy can easily ambush us and you all will move according to my orders as I am better at strategies than most of you. One mistake or someone acting on their own will get all of us killed." I said.

Everyone was surprised by the information, especially Naruto.

After the surprise died down, I told them about the strategy.

"We will be following a straight line formation." I said.

"Kiba will be the spearhead because of his and Akamaru's sensing abilities and awareness of terrain around the village and Land of fire. He can track Sasuke with his smell and detect traps along the way."

"Second will be Rock lee. With his strength and agility, We can easily defeat the enemies as well as rescue Sasuke. He will be essential for the mission as only he has a chance to forcefully capture Sasuke and bring him back." I said.

"Next in line will be me, the leader for the mission. I will give out orders accord to the situation and you will follow me."

"Fourth will be Naruto. He carries element of surprise and he can overwhelm his enemies with Shadow clones. He will be mainly using Shadow clones to assist us." I said.

"Fifth will be Choji. Choji doesn't have speed but he can easily subdue enemies. He will be launching a deciding blow on the enemy if the situation allows."

"Neji will be the last in line who will sense Sasuke and is in position of rear lookout. You will use your byakugan constantly to check if the ranks have any loopholes." I said.

All of them nodded and we moved out.

(Sasuke POV)

After we exited Konohagakure's borders, all the sound four stopped.

Were they per chance skeptical?

They all surrounded me and the two headed dude started saying, "It will be necessary for you to die once..."

"Die necessarily you say...care to explain?" I asked.

He took a small bottle out of his pocket.

"This is Mind awakening pill. You will take these. It will forcibly increase the curse mark's to second state. However, it will drastically increase the erosion rate and if you are left that way, you will die immediately. After taking this, you will obtain power equal to ours but after you wake up to use these, you will last only for a few minutes and die immediately." He said.

"Die huh...What will happen after that? Are you here to merely kill me by asking me to take in poison by my own accord?" I asked.

"You don't need to worry about that. That's why we are here. We will use fuinjutsu to suppress the side effects. We will mitigate the damage to reduce it from state of death to only half death." He said.

"Do you think I can put my faith into this fuinjutsu of yours?" I asked.

"We normally function as Orochimaru-sama's body guards. we know our stuff when it comes to this." The six limbed dude said.

'I absolutely cannot die yet.' I thought as I took out a pill and swallowed it.

I suddenly felt a lot of pain in my body as if it was being tortured really badly but I could still stand albeit shaking a lot.

"Please move into the barrel, Sasuke-sama. We will deal with the rest. Oi! Start moving you guys! At this rate, we might lose him!" The two headed dude clapped his hands and a barrel came out.

I just stepped inside it.

They all started to channel some chakra and sealed the container.

"Black Seal!" I could hear that 2 headed dude's voice.

The pain was increasing and I fainted after a few minutes.

(Genma Shiranui POV)

I suddenly detected some chakra in vicinity while I was on mission.

This may be a sign of enemy ninjutsu user.

"Raido, we will investigate the situation now. Come with me." I said to Raido as we both moved out.

After traveling a bit, We encountered four people along with a strange barrel on the fat guy's back.

"Judging from the direction, you came from Konohagakure no Sato. What's inside the barrel?" I asked.

They were Orochimaru's bodyguards during Konoha's raid and I knew that and so did Raido.

Suddenly some markings appeared on their bodies.

They all have curse marks. This is going to be a hard battle.

We started the battle.

We both were defeated in the battle.

The power of curse mark is truly something...

Shizune and Iwashi came towards us and hence our lives were spared because of this or else we would've died.

"As the leader...I instruct you all to not confront them. Following them in our current condition will be seeking death. The curse mark is too powerful for us." I said as I coughed some blood.

(Shikamaru POV)

After following the group while tracking them for so long, we finally caught up with them. They were trying to slip out and left a fat guy to take care of us.

They underestimate us too much. We will take then by surprise.

We finally found them after some time.

I was now preparing for the encounter and rescuing.

I told the team about my plan and they immediately dispersed.

After watching them secretly for a few seconds, the two headed dude turned his head and threw a explosion tag attached to a kunai towards Neji and me.

Looks like our cover is blown.

We immediately tried to avoid the explosion but we were just thrown towards them due to explosion.

"What? I poked out the bush for kicks and out comes not even a snake, just two bugs." The two headed person said mockingly.

"Wait we are here to negotiate! We didn't come here to fight!" I said.

"Then...Why are these guys here?!" The six armed dude said as he pulled out my teammates with a really thin wire and threw them towards us.

As Kiba was flying to us, he threw a smoke bomb immediately.

Rock lee immediately broke the wire and landed safely while helping others to recover.

During this time, I used multi shadow possession jutsu.

"Thanks for getting caught in my strategy." I said to them.

"Well...that's nice and all but...You see I have an ability too." The two headed guy said.

Some shurikens came from behind me and the shadow possession jutsu was undone.

"Earth style Barrier!" The fat guy said.

Some stones started to collect and formed a dome around us.

Sh*t.

Looks like we're trapped now.

"I don't care about this barrier or something. I can easily break through it. GATSUGA!" Kiba said but he failed.

"Wait everyone! Our chakra is being slowly absorbed!" Neji said to us.

"Damn it. I will use my wind style: Breakthrough to do it or summon some shadow clones!" Naruto said.

"Wait Naruto! Don't do it. It will just accelerate the process!" I warned him.

"Uhh...Shikamaru-san? May I break this stone dome?" Rock lee asked me.

"Please do try Lee." I said.

Lee started using the 8 gates technique.

"GATE OF OPENING! OPEN!"

"GATE OF LIFE! OPEN!"

"GATE OF PAIN! OPEN!"

Lee now started to punch the dome rapidly but it was still a little faster in repairing itself.

"Looks like I have no choice." he said.

"GATE OF LIMIT! OPEN!"

He immediately took a stance and punched the dome. This time, the dome collapsed.

As soon as the dome collapsed, he ran towards the fat guy and punched him.

The fat guy didn't have enough time to react and was hit.

He was thrown off quite a bit.

"Choji! Rock lee! Please take care of this ninja! We will pursue Sasuke and other ninjas! I believe in you!" I said.

""HAI!"" Both of them said simultaneously.

We need to rescue Sasuke.

I cannot let my comrade be kidnapped like this. I will see in through the end, even if it's a drag.

I henged into the fat guy and started to catch up with the ninjas we were pursuing.

"What took you so long, Jirobo?" The two headed dude asked.

"It took some time eat the scum's chakra." I responded.

It was a generic response.

After a few exchanges, The six armed dude threw the barrel towards the girl and started to fight me.

"Jirobo always corrects Tayuya's words!" The six armed dude said as he used a web to trap me and stick me to a tree.

Naruto jumped him with like 30 shadow clones.

The six armed guy used another spider web to deal with Naruto and his shadow clones.

Naruto used Wind style: Breakthrough to break through the web and overwhelmed him with some taijutsu combos.

They fought at extremely high speed for 5 minutes without break.

This enemy nin is good at taijutsu.

If Naruto wasn't here then I doubt we would've won that easily.

Neji also used gentle fist and quickly closed his tenketsu points and disabled him.

He was killed easily.

It made my stomach churn really badly when I saw him dying.

I puked a little because of this.

Neji felt a little uncomfortable, Kiba was puking too.

Only Naruto held enough composure.

It was expected out of Hokage's students. I heard they went on a lot of killing quests to get accustomed to killing and not lose composure.

After Naruto helped us a bit, we all started the chase again.

Looks like this one was rather easy for us.

I think I need improve heavily or else only I will be left behind at this rate.

(3rd POV)

A shadow was following the genin group secretly but no one knew the identity of that shadow.

It grabbed Kidomaru's head for a bit and just started following the genin pursuit team again.

Who was this mysterious entity?

What was it's aim?

Is it an enemy stand user-

WAIT WRONG BOOK.

Uhh...So where was I?

Oh yeah..

Uhm.

Is it an enemy ninja?

Will the genin pursuit team be safe?

I am gonna finish this rescue mission in a few chaps.

I am also using terms like six arm dude, fat guy etc. because you don't know the name of enemy you are fighting.
