Edward Agren Ravilios or what the author calls the second male lead. The future Grand Duke of the Ravilios household and the elder brother of Lilith. He was known throughout the novel to have strong feelings for the female lead when they first met at an alley, where Fleur was attacked by a pack of stray dogs. After that time, Edward feels nothing but love for her and believes that he was the only person worthy of protecting her. With that belief of his, he couldn't stand the other male leads admiring her and came with the idea of scheming problems like for example...using Lilith. He realized how Lilith loathed Fleur for being the center of attention including her fiancee therefore pretending to care for Lilith and scheme with her to take down Fleur or that'swhat it looked like to Lilith.
I felt bad for Lilith, despised by her family while being used by her brother she thought who cared for him. Even if she could be short tempered and a little bratty sometimes, she only craved the attention she wanted. But to think that he would harm her with enjoyment, I did not expect her brother would do that. It would've been better if her brother ignored her like all those novels out there...
She sat in a chair, looking at the huge glass window right at her room. She was wearing a magnificent red dress instead of the night gown she was in. While looking at the window, her brother came with a big jewelry box and a few of his servants and maids, carrying a ton of colorful boxes right at his back. She didn't look back at him and only stared at the window. "Beloved sister, I have bought you gifts that you might like" Edward said with a forgiving manner and sorrowful voice. He starts playing with his hands as if he was desperate for his beloved sister's affection. The maids and butlers accompanying him gasped in awe for how caring he was. But no matter how many sweet talk came out of his mouth, Lilith stayed shut and quiet. Her brother began to sweat and made the others worry for Edward and shot glares at Lilith. "Get out" she finally spoke. Her brother replied "Pardon?" her brother smiled in turmoil, not knowing what's going on.
"Leave and make sure you take your offerings"
Lilith demanded. The servants were surprised to see how she spoke rudely to her won brother. "How nefarious can she get?" "Her brother has bestowed her luxuries and yet she denies the love he deserves" "What a brat" supposedly that's what they are thinking, looking down on poor Lilith. "That's all right, beloved sister I will leave these presents for you to open whenever you change your mind". They went out with the servants who dropped the gifts at the floor. The door closed with Edward smiling with satisfaction. As the footsteps began to disappear, she stood with rage and began to breathe rapidly. " How stupid was I!? Why wasn't I able to know the situation around her!? she thought. She flipped back her head and walked away from the table. "It's like those novels...I've been transported inside the novel!!!" She said to herself.
"But why and how!?" she then remembered the green fire that almost took her life or...it did. "I died...and maybe reincarnated here?" she questioned herself again. She looked at the mirror and recalled the most terrifying problem. "But why Lilith? There are so many characters:female leads, male leads, supporting characters, even extras! And yet I had to be a villain! Of course! the unhappy one has to be the villain!" she shouted, touching her faces, scanning all of her body from head to toe. Life had finally began to turn things up for her but luck can't be found easily. She had red countless of novels about people transmigrating or reincarnating into another world or another novel. Most female leads knew what situation they were in and gained control over what's happening but Lilith was too nervous to think of anything. What made her so scared? She was just a heartbroken college student and then one day, she woke up from a death experience in another person's body.
"What should I do?" thinking of a way to get out of Lilith's body. "What if I try to die? Will I return to my normal body?" she thought. It would be the best option but her old body died from the mysterious fire that night. She could still feel her body being burned and that there would be no guarantee that she would return home or not. "What would the female leads do in this situation?" she said, sitting down on a stool, covered with a white blanket like the other furnitures. "They would gather knowledge about the villainess and try to change her personality" she mumbled. Gabriella knew Lilith as the spoiled and arrogant daughter of the duke but never knew what really was her true motive. She was just harrassed by the second male lead that was not written in the novel and that she wouldn't be sure what to act. Suddenly, another knock interrupted her and made Lilith, cautious. She stood up and grabbed the stool just in case if it was Edward. But it wasn't. "Lilith, your father orders you to report to his office immediately" said by a butler. She rushes to the door and opened it. The butler was giving her glares like the other servants but this one was not only glaring. He gave off a tired expression as if he didn't care of what was happening to Lilith.
She gulped and then gave a reply. "I'll go there right now..." the butler then gave him a shocked look. Lilith stopped and sensed something was wrong. He then shouted "How dare you disrespect an elder who has tended to your needs? Is that what you will talk to me, huh!? No wonder you're called as the Devil's villainess!!!". Lilith didn't know what was happening and tries to think of a solution. Servants that were crossing by started gossiping and starting at them. She didn't know proper manners from royalty and started guessing for a plan to end this conversation. " C'mon..What would Lilith do?"
