Questioning Her Sanity

She ignored the shower for a minute, becoming fascinated as she scrubbed her arms with a bar of soap. The bubbles turned into a light pink color that made her nose wrinkle in disgust. Once her hands were clean and the bar of soap deposited into a nearby wastebasket, she stripped down naked, kicking her boots to the side, and shoving her bloody clothes into the same wastebasket as the soap. She stepped into the shower, immersing herself under the scalding hot water. The knots and kinks in her body began to dissolve under the spray. She scrubbed from head to toe about ten times, until finally satisfied that every speck of blood was gone.

While people with houses avoided dirty and bloodied people. People on the street looked more carefully at those people. Having blood on you was a sure-shot sign of getting robbed once again.
