The Main Target of Her Mission

She moved back, allowing the view between the two men to clear up. Ladislas had the most insincere smile on his lips as he raised the shot glass to his lips and tipped his head back.

Anna could hear the content sigh from the group as they went about their way. She was called over again by them. She had a vague idea what it was about. "Would you mind asking the gentleman to join our party?"

Anna was silent for a second. "I can definitely do that," she started. "But I think the invitation will be warmer if you ask him yourself," she told him with a wink. The guy thought about it for a moment before nodding gratefully. 

As per her words, he sauntered over to Ladislas and took the seat next to him. Ladislas had noticed him and frowned when the guy occupied the seat beside him. Regardless, he looked up.

"Hi, I noticed you from across the bar. Would you like to join the group? You seem lonely sitting here," the man said calmly.
