“You tried to kill me before, why can’t you do it now?” she asked, her eyes burning with fury. 
“I didn’t love you back then.” He shrugged.

And so, the supervillain fell in love with the hero. That couldn’t be a good thing, right? Sometimes, the hero is corrupted by the villain and switches their side. Other times, the villain becomes a wife-dotting slave and gives her everything she asks for.

Anna almost laughed at the absurdity.

This was too much to do with being offended by the actions of the Assistant Director and they were also earning a little money while they were at it.

But then they did the most perplexing thing possible. They connected the camera to a laptop and used the hotel's wifi to send the video to someone. Anna couldn't see who this was until ten minutes later, she heard a panicked message on the intercom. This time, it was Thirteen in her ear.

"The media is playing a video of all the hostages and one prime hostage at gunpoint."

Anna sucked in a deep breath and squeezed her eyes shut. This was an excellent move. No matter what the result of the hostage situation was, the government, police, and soldiers would be torn apart by the public for not taking action while innocent civilians were held at gunpoint and killed.
