Newfound Superpowers

She couldn't put another word out before she saw Ladislas breathing heavily. He slowly sank to the floor and sat for a few minutes in silence before slowly lying down on the floor. He was about five meters away from her, and that was a huge distance for her extremely weak body at the time.

"Are you feeling unwell?" Anna asked softly. Her own voice was scratchy from exhaustion, so the words said had a comic effect.

"This is worse than when you taught me how to rock climb. I have never had to use so much energy for a spell before in my life," Ladislas said.

"If you are speaking so much, you aren't too tired," Anna joked lightly. She tried to keep her eyes open for longer periods of time, but she was precariously close to nodding off. It didn't help but Ladislas' breathing was evening out slowly as well as if he was going off to sleep along with her.

"You can't sleep on the cold floor. You'll get sore muscles in the morning," Anna urged.
