"Of course, the job sounds like I would be doing something good. But don't make it sound that you are offering me a chance at nobility," she stated. Her eyes cooled as she stared at the demon. "My answer remains the same. No matter how noble the job of a soul hunter is, I will take my time to mull over it and talk to Ladislas before giving you a verbal acceptance or denial."

Kuzzaz, who had been sporting a small smile of victory so far became serious. "I see." He had clearly underestimated her yet again. He wondered when he would learn how to manipulate her. For now, it seemed like a foregone situation that Anna would deny him anything he asked for.
