A dangerous beast

Rhayne' pov

When we got to the bookstore we heard a commotion taking place. It was two guys, one was making the racket and the other that I assume was an employee of the store, was trying to calm the other guy with no such luck. Truth be told I kinda sympathized with the employee since this other guy was pretty mean and while I was thinking that, I heard Ritha ask if that wasn't Luke and Cleo replied that it was. She then asked where Zelna was. I soon spotted my mate and pointed her out to the girls. I noticed that as my mate got closer to the commotion the more it seemed like she got angrier and angrier at this rude guy. When this rude guy started to pull the one called Luke, I saw my mate step up to these two guys. She was polite to this rude guy at first asking him to let go of Luke but when the guy didn't do that, she then twisted his arm behind him. I was impressed seeing what she did and thought she's good. I was a little distracted by praising her in my head to focus on what was happening and the next thing I saw was this guy rushing at my mate. I wanted to rush over there but Cleo stopped and told me to not interfere in anything right now since she had a feeling that it wasn't a good Idea to get in my mate way right now. It was then that I saw my mate throw that bastard over her shoulder and step on him, she then said something to Luke and he said something to her in return. I could see from what she was told by Luke that she became even more angrier and told the guy something then let him go. As soon as she did that, that guy ran from the store so fast it looked like he was being chased by death. My mate then walked over to Luke while he was talking to an older lady. The older lady then walked away after saying something to them and my mate then said something to Luke while taking her stuff from another girl. Then Luke walked off and my mate turn towards the entrance of the the store and looked straight at us. She didn't even blink when she looked at us and I heard Cleo told Ritha to get ready, I didn't understand what she meant by that and didn't get the chance to ask. My mate then came over to us and to be honest, right now it felt like I wasn't looking at a little human girl but rather at a terrifyingly powerful beast that can rip me apart at any second. I thought this was a really stupid feeling to have but then I heard Erin ask me telepathically that is it just him or does it seem like instead of a human girl approaching us, it's more like a dangerously powerful caged beast coming for us. I didn't reply to him since I didn't know what's going on either. As soon as my mate stopped infront of us, I heard Cleo ask her what's wrong.

Zelna's pov

As I approached my friends I noticed that Rhayne and Erin stiffen up. I thought it was weird for them to do that and was going to ask them what was wrong, what I didn't realize was that right now I was giving off a vibe that screamed dangerous, since well yeah I was still really pissed off by that prick from earlier. When I was just about to speak, Cleo interrupted me asking what was wrong and I switched my attention to her and Ritha. First I told them that the prick was Luke's older brother named Ron and then I turned to Ritha. She looked at me as if she was waiting for orders. I told her I need her to get me information on Luke's family and she asked me if it was just the family or do I need detailed information on the family and other people they are involved with. I told her that I wanted any and everything she could get on them no matter what and that I'd like it by the end of next week. Then I turned to Cleo and told her that I'm having Luke move into our place. I asked to talk to her family and ask for their assistance in case anything happens in the future and would also like it if she could put protection on Luke so that I could know if anything happens to him. She told me to leave it to her and to just focus on helping Luke settle into our place. Both Cleo and Ritha was looking at me as if they were on standby waiting for more orders and I told them that that will be all for now. As for Rhayne and Erin, they were looking at us like they were lost but at the same time they were looking at me like I was some kind of... Well how should I put it? It looked a lot like they to were waiting for my order, like I'm their boss or something. Was it just me or what? Weird...
