The killings

Zelna's pov

Run, don't look back! Don't let them find you, if they do... Just run, faster, faster. Shh I can hear them, they're close. Go right, just right. You'll make it your almost there...

... Wait turn left here, go they're catching up to you. I can see the clearing, your going to make it...

Shut up Shut up shut up please just shut up! This damn voice, this damn dream. How many times have this been happening? What's the point of telling me to run, they're still going to get me. Just wait for it, they'll catch me, say shit about me thinking I could escape blah blah blah and then stab me, then I wake up like usual.

"Did you really think you could escape from us? Stupid bitch, you will give us what we want!" Suddenly I felt the cold metal of a knife against my shoulder...

And there it is, see I told you so, now he's gonna stab my shoulder and I'll scream like I usually do then I wake up come on just get it done with already!

I felt the knife go into my shoulder and heard myself scream. It's about damn time, now I'll wake up. Was the last thing I thought before everything went black.

When I opened my eyes, it was dark, I couldn't see anything but I knew I wasn't in my room. The place I'm in smells really nauseating and it feels damp. Talking about feeling, my arms... Wait am I chained up? What the hell? Ow Ow ow, why does my body feel like it went through a grinder?

" So you're awake"

Suddenly a light was pointed at me and behind it was three men, they looked quite intimidating, not to mention have guns and is that... What the hell is that? I was thinking that when I heard one of the men talk.

" Did you really think you would get away from here? There's nowhere for you to go, all you can do is wait for us to do what we want with you. Forget your life out there. Whether you leave or die that up to us."

What the fuck is this guy talking about? Why am i with them? Wasn't I at home dreaming? How did I get here and why is my body hurting all over?

" Boys take her to the lab and get her ready. Clean her properly, I want to see where else I can cut her and how long she'll hang on this time!"

The man, I assume was the leader between the three men, spoke again. After he gave them the order, the other two came up to me, one grabbing me by the hair and the other one unlocked the chains that was against the wall. I wanted to tell the guy that grabbed my hair to let go and tell me what's going on, but instead I heard myself say for them not to hurt me that I don't have what they are looking for. They just laughed at me and said if I don't give it to them soon then they'll have to make me give it to them in a nother way.

What way are they talking about and wait that wasn't even what I wanted to say. The hell? Why isn't my body listening to me? Why can't I move? Fight them off damnit! Let me go, let me go, LET ME GO!!!

NO matter how much I was screaming inside my head, the words just wouldn't come out of my mouth, my body won't do as I say and all I keep doing is cry, cry and cry. Someone please tell me what's going on please please tell me. I'm scared.

As I was thinking this, I was dragged into a big brightly lit room, in the middle was a table, in one corner was chains hanging from the roof, in another corner was a chair with wires and on one side was a door that looked like it led to a bathroom. But that wasn't what was freaking me out, on the table, chains and chair was so so much blood. Why do I get the feeling that all that blood belongs to me?

I wanted to ask these men whose blood that was, but I got hauled off to the bathroom and thrown into the bathtub. Then they started to was the blood and filth from my body, at this point I noticed what my body looked like. There were cuts and bruises all over me, some of me skin looked like is was peeled off or could it have been cut off? The chain cuffs were already bitting into my flesh by my wrist and ankles. No wonder my body was hurting all over. But the thing that I also noticed was, that my skin was a lot lighter than what it normally is. Normally it's a bit tanned since I usually go for walks in the forest under the sun, so why is my skin so light? When I was being forced to turn my head to the side, I looked straight into a mirror and yes even though my skin was lighter, my hair shorter and I was a lot skinnier , that was definitely me.

Soon after I was as clean as they could get me, I was dragged out of the bathroom and placed on that table. As I was being put on the table, I heard myself beg them to let me go and that I don't have what they want, they ignored me and just strapped me down on the table. While this was happening I could vaguely hear other people talking, they were saying something about the blood won't work until the awakening. I wanted to ask what awakening they were talking about and what it has to do with me but those words just don't come out and instead words like they have the wrong person and I don't have what they want keeps on coming out of my mouth. Can someone tell me why I don't have control over my actions and mouth?

"Of course you don't have what we want right now, but you will have it soon. If you don't want us to keep on doing these things to you then you better start awakening your true self or is it not enough to just be doing these things to you? Should we do it to someone else, like maybe your little brother, or maybe your father, or should we do it to your mother? After all you did inherit it from her bloodline, it's just that it's only in you that the thing we want can be awaken... But if we're lucky, a miracle might happen and your mother might have it too."

My mother? My father? My little brother? What is this guy talking about, I don't have any of those, only EM and Miss Misa!

I wanted to tell them this, but I suddenly felt pain coming from my leg. When I looked down to see what was causing it, I saw the guy that I met in the room I was chained up in, taking a knife and started slicing skin from my leg. I started screaming for them to stop but the guy who talked to me just now also started slicing skin from my arm. I was in so much pain, I was screaming, begging for them to stop but they didn't. The torture went for so long, I lost track of how long I was strapped onto that table. At some point I must have fainted, cause the next thing I knew, was that I could taste salt water in my mouth. When I opened my eyes, I was chained up against some gate thing that was lowered into a pool of salt water. The wounds all over my body was hurting, no burning from the water.

Someone please, please tell me what is going on, please just please help me...

The next moment I could feel myself being shaken and then I heard Rhayne's voice telling me to wake up, that I'm okay, I'm safe. When I opened my eyes, I noticed that I was in Rhayne's arms. He was looking at me worry in his eyes. When I tried to sit up, I could barely put any strength in my arms. Whats more my body still hurt so much. As I was still trying to get up I heard Luke say for me not to, it was then that I noticed that it wasn't just Rhayne that was in the room but also Luke, Cleo, Ritha Erin and Zain.

Oh right we were having a sleep over this weekend since Miss Misa went to the city to visit EM and we thought that we could finish our last assignment over the weekend. We had basically finished the assignment earlier today, so we came down to the basement slash movie room, to watch some movies. When Luke came home earlier, I invited him to join us and he even brought more snacks for everyone to enjoy while watching movies. At some point I must have fallen asleep but I just couldn't believe that everything was still just a nightmare. But all the proof was there for me as well as everyone else to see. Clear as daylight. I was still covered in blood and wounds.

" I wanted to heal you but Rhayne stopped me, he told us that the blood and wounds will disappear on their own."

Luke told me this as I was looking myself over, don't get me wrong, right now my body hurts like hell and I really want to just pass out but I was too scared, since I might continue that nightmare again and I didn't want that. A few days ago, I told Rhayne what the nightmare was about since he was always helping me. I also told him that under no circumstances must the wound on me be taken care of by Luke, I didn't tell him that Luke could heal me, since that was something that Luke doesn't want others to know.

" I told them about what was happening to you because I tried to wake you up for awhile now and wounds kept on appearing on your body more and more. It wasn't like before and when Luke tried to heal you, I remembered you told me to stop him if he ever happens to try and help you. When I stopped him he wanted to know why I was stopping him, that's why I told them the truth. I'm sorry, I just didn't know what to do anymore since you just wouldn't wake up"

As Rhayne was telling me this, he was crying so much and trying his best not to hurt me. I tried to tell him that it was okay but no words would come out, all I could do was watch as he cried and wait for the blood and wounds to dissappear. It wasn't just Rhayne that was crying but the others as well, all of us were.

The wounds on my body took over an hour to heal, a lot longer than usual. Perhaps it's because there were so many that's why it took so long, all the while, Rhayne kept hugging me oh so gently. When all the blood and wounds were gone, I asked Cleo to help me get to my room since my body was still numb from everything. When we got to my room I asked Ritha who was following us to run me a bath, I was hoping a warm bath might help my body get over the numbness. When the bath was filled Cleo helped me undress and get in the tub. The two of them tried to get me to talk but I told them I'd tell them later and I'd like for them to leave me alone for now. They were hesitant at first but I assured them that I would be fine on my own. So they left me by myself and told me to call for them if I need them. I wanted to be by myself so that I could get my thoughts together. This was the first time since I've been getting these nightmares that it didn't stop after I got stabbed in the shoulder.

Rhayne'spov

After Zelna left with the girls Luke, Erin and Zain questioned me on what I know and I told them everything from the first time I saw her after having a nightmare, to how I have been staying over at night to hold her when she sleeps. And that this was the first time that it's gotten this bad.

I could still feel her writhing in pain, hear her screaming...

When she wouldn't wake up no matter how much I tried waking her, the wounds that kept on appearing on her body. I just couldn't take seeing her like that, I just couldn't keep the tears from falling.

While I was thinking about all this, Zain asked me why I would do this for her and even staying over at night, why I didn't tell the grown ups. I screamed at him asking what else should I have done? My mate asked me not to tell anyone, and I didn't want her to hate me. When I asked him this,apart from Luke , the other two was shocked, since this was the first time I told them that Zelnarine is my mate. I was still crying and the tears just wouldn't stop.

Zelna's pov

After my bath, I had more feeling in my body and after getting dressed, I told the girls that we should go to the movie room. When we got there I saw Zain and Erin try to comfort Rhayne. Everything must have been really hard for him to take. When Luke saw us, he rushed over to me and hugged me, then picked me up and sat me next to Rhayne, with him on my other side. I told Rhayne that I'm sorry for scaring him but he shook his head and then pulled me onto his lap. I've gotten used to him doing things like this. At first I told him not to but he kept on doing it and it's not like I really hate it.

After Rhayne settled down I told the others what's been going on with me and how Rhayne's been helping me. I told them that it started when school vacation started and that its been going on till now. I also told them that this was the first time it's gotten this bad and that the dream didn't end where it normally does. When I told them what happen in the dream, I felt Rhayne hug me tighter and Luke grabbed my hand. As I was telling them all this, my phone started ringing startling us all. When I picked it up, it was Miss Misa, she ask me is if I was home and when I confirmed that I was she told me to get Luke inside the house and locked all the doors and windows. I relayed the message to the others but also asked her what was going on, she told me that she would explain it all when she and EM get back and that I should keep the news turned on , then she hung up. When it was confirmed that all doors and windows were locked we turned on the news. At first on the news was about the political issues but the next news subject caught my attention. There have been serial killings taking place in the city where EM and Miss Misa is in, one of the killers was caught and his face was shown. The man, the killer on the screan was none other than one of the men from my nightmare, the one that was skinning my leg...
