BREAKFAST TOGETHER

After we were dressed Kyle went to check out. He apparently told the old man in the office that there was a mess in the room but that no one was seriously hurt and that he was paying for all damages. He handed over several large bills and the man said that he would turn a blind eye to it all.

I was looking around for whatever vehicle it was that Kyle had. I know he hadn't come to save me by running on his feet. Though, for some reason, all I could find was my truck. I smelled Kyle's scent inside the truck, all over the driver's seat. But that was to be expected if he brought it from that house to here. But where was the other car?

When I saw Kyle coming toward the truck, toward the driver's side of the truck, I just raised my eyebrow in confusion. When he opened my door I couldn't keep that confusion quiet.

"What are you doing?" I asked him with a slight glare added in for effect.
