The Hunter Becomes The Hunted

"Alpha Jacy! Alpha Jacy!" The members of Jacy's pack were chanting the words over and over. I knew that they all accepted and approved of her, and they all wanted her to be their Alpha. That was abundantly clear. The thing is, would she accept it? Would she take up the role of their Alpha? That, I wasn't so sure about.

What I knew right now, though, was that Jacy was almost at her limit. She had had a very long and taxing night. And, as I looked at my watch, I saw that it was just after one in the morning.
