CHAPTER: 06

                     "SECRET RELATIONS"

       marry started her investigation. she went to Veronica's house. she knocked the door. someone said from the inside "who is this?" (it was a girl voice) "it's marry" said marry. "marry..who?" said someone from inside. "investigator of adam lodge's case" marry shouted. Veronica opened the door. "come in" said Veronica. marry entered and sat down. "how can i help?" asked veronica. "just some questions...that's it" mentioned marry. "umm ok" said Veronica. "where were on 7 November night?" questioned marry. " i was at the bar with billy Andrews celebrating adam's birthday. when adam left we spent some time alone and then i went washroom where i smelled the blood . i followed it and found adam's body . i started screaming then billy came and we left" told Veronica. "why did you guys left? why didn't you call police?" questioned marry in curiosity. "billy left first just after he saw the body. i didn't know know what to do. i was shocked and in sorrow. he was my boyfriend for long time untill we broke up. it was difficult for me so i left too" told Veronica hesitating. "boyfriend? can you tell me why you guys broke up if not personal" asked marry. "he said he didn't love me anymore. thats all we went on separate paths" said Veronica when a tear dropped out of her eye. "i am sorry. that explains all the photos of your college in which you two were together" marry mentioned. "you have those?" asked veronica. marry nodded in yes. "well i want to listen more...if you wanna tell" marry said. "what more?" asked veronica. she told her about what vindy told her. Veronica was in a shock. "is it true?" asked marry. "yes. but lisa suppose to keep it all secret. she did wrong. i trusted her" said Veronica. "i thought she did the right thing. well i am here and those bad people can't do anything. just relax yourself girly. i should leave now or officer john will die waiting" chuckled marry and left.

            it was 7pm. vindy was reading a book when her phone rang. "hello" vindy picked up the call. "hy! did you recognise?" asked someone from the other side of the call. "no..who are you?" vindy questioned in a frightened voice. "calm down pretty. it's me Michael. we met at the bar" answered Michael. "ohhh yeah sure i remember. so why did you call?" questioned vindy. "i was hoping to meet you as our last plan didn't work" said Michael. "oh i am really sorry for the last time ...i and lisa was ready to come but then some of my husband stuff came up" told vindy. "um you have a husband?" questioned Michael. "yeah i am married but in a way i am not" told vindy. "what does that mean?" asked Michael. "we should meet and i will tell you everything there" vindy suggested. "sure. tomorrow's fine with you?" asked Michael. "ok! bye" vindy hung up.

       "who was that?" asked lisa. "Michael. we are meeting tomorrow" told vindy. "ooooooooo someone is getting shy. what is happening between you two behind my back?" lisa chuckled. "nothing idiot. i am going tell him about billy and everything. will it be awkward telling him because of Veronica? you know she is his sister" questioned vindy. "i dont think so. as much i know Michael is very different from Veronica. he will understand for sure" comforted lisa. "what was that boyfriend story whom she chosen over you?" asked vindy. "ohh that was a difficult one. i was talking about adam" said lisa. "what? tell me about it" said vindy in curiosity. "she was with him for 3 years and one day i got into a huge fight with adam because he said bad things to leny and you know how much i am possessive about leny so i stood with him and fought to adam but then Veronica came and instead of taking my side , she took his side. after that i got into the fight with her too which in conclusion destroyed our friendship. i didn't speak to her for a long time but i was friends with Michael because he has nothing to do with that. but then she called me that day and asked my help. i couldn't decline" mentioned lisa. "you are a good friend lisa. i admire you dear" vindy said and hugged her.

         it was 10 in the morning. someone knocked at the door. lisa opened the door. "heyyy dear" lisa shouted in a joy. "how are you darling?" asked leny standing at the door. "i am good. come in!" said lisa. vindy was going out of the house when she saw leny. there was an awkward eye contact between them. "ohh leny . nice to see you. how are you?" questioned vindy to leny. "i am great. nice to see you too" greeted leny. "come sit dear" said lisa to leny. leny sat down. "i must go. Michael will be waiting. you guys have fun . i'll see you" said vindy and left. lisa waved to vindy.
