69. Compromise.

Hanna hiccuped, setting down the tea cups on the table. She pressed her lips tight trying to prevent the bouts of hiccups that refused to go away least she offend the mistress of the room. She hurriedly poured the hot tea into the rest of the cups and excused herself. 

Lady Nadia didn't even spare her a glance, sitting infront of the mirror with two maids fumbling with her hair. She had lashed out at them several times for tugging at her hair. 

Poor girls, Hanna hurried out with the tea pot, thanking the Lord for not making her serve such a heartless mistress. She sent some silent prayers on their behalf.

Mel and Anna, who were hiding by the corner waiting for her jumped out when they saw her coming.

"Thank God you are in one piece. When that loud crash came from inside, I thought it was your head against the wall." Anna babbled.
