Completely Destroyed

The day of the tournament had started and names had already been called with winners cheering and losers crying. As Alex had yet to be called to a fight, he was currently watching the girl named Jade fight. Her opponent being a half naked and rather large muscled fifteen year old teen with a battle axe in his arms.

This part of the arena was silent as everyone wanted to watch the great prodigy of the Long Family fight but Alex wasn't having it as he stood up and yelled out. "You got this Jade!"

Jade's eyes visibly widened as she scanned the spectators, finding Alex cheering for her. This made her face turn red as she glared and turned around.

"Of course I've got this!" She stated, making the teen in front of her growl in anger.

With the referees signal, the match began with a whistle. Both fighters released their Aether which created an protective aura around their bodies as well as enhancing their physical capabilities. This skill was known by many warriors as Body Reinforcement, a basic skill needed by everyone who called themselves warriors.

"I don't care if you're a princess of whatever! I'm gonna crush you and become a student at The Galactic Academy!" The other boy stated as he charged rather quickly at Jade.

Only to become confused as Jade vanished from his sight. He looked everywhere in the arena but found no trace of her.

Angered, he yelled out. "Come out and fight me you coward!"

"As you wish." A voice suddenly said behind him.

Not able to react fast enough, the teen boy felt pain on his back before he was thrown out of the arena and crashed into the nearby walls. He landed unconscious despite the fact that his Aether was protecting him from damage but he was just too weak.

"Did you see what happened?" Another teen said to his friend.

"No, she suddenly disappeared and reappeared behind him. I wonder if it was some kind of Dragon Clan Martial Arts move of something." The other friend said in curiosity.

"What do you mean?" Alex said as he overheard their conversation. "You didn't see how Jade just ran behind her opponent?"

The duo looked at Alex like he was crazy and laughed at him as they stated. "That can't possibly be what happened. My uncle's in the military and even he can't do that."

Alex couldn't' help but scratch his head as he shrugged and said. "Well if you don't believe me then of well."

Ignoring their remarks after Alex said this, he turned to the arena to find Jade looking straight at him. Alex smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up, making her smile and point at him, then at her neck where she made a slitting motion. Alex laughed at this while kept her grin and walked off the stage.

"Number 777 Alex Mercer, please come to platform number 22. Number 214 Jason Lunar, please come to platform number 22." The voice on the intercom stated, making everyone go silent.

"Man, whoever's going to face Jason Lunar is going to have a bad day if he doesn't give up right away." Someone said to their friend.

"I heard how he has anger issues and nearly killed his sparring partner. They guy lived but he's been crippled ever since." The other friend nodded as he agreed.

Alex frowned at these words as he made his way to the 22 platform and walked up on stage. In front of him was a referee dressed in black and white and on the other side was a teenager who was fifteen as well. He had blonde hair and had on a white suit and dress shoes, an attire which seemed to not match the situation at all. Even Alex himself, despite wearing jeans and a hoodie had his full mobility.

"The rules are simple, you step out of the ring and you lose. You faint, you lose. You give up, and you lose. Now get your weapons out and on zero you may begin." The referee said as he backed away.

Alex pulled out his spear blade as he held it with both hands in a perfectly balanced stance with the tip pointing towards his opponent. A smile was firmly planted on his face with no stress or worry which made a certain red haired girl look at the match curiously.

Jason Lunar laughed at this and pulled out his rapier from his hip as he stated. "You better give up now before you get hurt boy. I have an Aether level of two hundred and thirty after all."

The crowd went crazy after hearing this as someone with an Aether Level of two hundred and thirty could destroy small buildings in one blow. The average man in the Earth Military had an Aether Level of about three hundred which meant that despite being ten years younger than any military man, he was almost as strong as them himself. A fact which Jason was extremely prideful of, which was also why his smile was currently cracking.

The reason being that Alex didn't answer, making Jason Lunar threaten Alex. "As you wish. I'll be sure to send your body parts back to your family as best as I can."

Hearing these words made Alex's smile stiffen a little as he said back. "Oh really? Well let's go then pretty boy."

"Wha-!" Before Jason could even retort, the referee began the match with a whistle blow.

Alex disappeared from his original position which made everyone wonder what had just happened. Jason himself was confused as he couldn't believe that he had lost sight of Alex.

"Where did you hide little boy." Jason said as he lowered his stance and looked everywhere on the arena.

----- -----

Outside of the ring, the same friendly duo that sat in front of Alex earlier couldn't help but rub their eyes as one of them stated. "How did he learn one of the Dragon Clan's Martial Arts move?"

"I don't know man, but if I get the chance, I'm going to ask him where he learned it." The other friend said as he couldn't help but imagine himself disappearing from his enemies sight.

"That's not a Dragon Clan Martial Art you dumbass." A femininely voice said from behind them.

Angered by this voice, one of the friends turned around and stated. "Who said that? I'll fight you one on one and see.... if...."

He became quiet as the person who had called him a dumbass was in fact the Dragon Clan Heiress herself. She sneered at the man before she walked up closer to the arena and leaned against the railing.

As the two teens wondered if they would be killed for their earlier words, Jade explained. "What happened just now was pure speed, similar to what I did earlier but...."

"But what?" One of the teens asked as they were curious as to what the Dragon Clan Heir had to say.

Jade frowned as she stated. "Alex seems faster as I could barely follow him."

The tree of them stared at the match going on as they finally noticed Alex standing behind Jason in a neutral standing position.

"This match, has already been decided." Jade said as she walked away.

----- -----

"Come out and fight me already!" Jason yelled out, only to hear nothing but his own heartbeat.

This was a scenario he had never encountered before and it scared him, a fact that made him angry as he was the Lunar Family Heir. It was an emotion that he was never supposed to feel and because of this, he released all of his Aether from his body. A crater formed around him as a gust of wind was created around him.

"You know, it was getting a little hot out here so this little breeze is a nice addition." A voice, Alex's voice appeared from behind Jason.

Jason smiled as he twisted his body and reinforced his rapier with his Aether as he pierced at the center of the voice. Only to hit nothing but air as the very same voice spoke behind him again.

"What are you doing? I'm behind you." Alex taunted Jason.

Once again, Jason reinforced his rapier with Aether and strike behind him. Once more, Alex vanished from behind him and angered by this, Jason struck his rapier into the ground. The stone tablets which made up the coliseum shattered and was sent in every direction. Protected by his own Aether aura, Jason knew he would be fine and believed that the commoner he was facing couldn't' possibly be as strong as he was.

"Surely his speed is just his special power." Jason reasoned, only to freeze as the voice of his current nightmare sounded behind him.

"Almost got me with that one but I think I should end this, it's getting boring." Alex said before he appeared in front of Jason.

"Ha! You idiot! You're invisibility was the only reason you weren't hurt by me and now you reveal yourself! Die you peasant!" Jason yelled out as he imbued all of his Aether into his rapier and shot the blade out towards Alex's heart.

With a sigh, Alex raised his free arm and caught the rapier without his Aether aura and little to no effort. The crowd went silent as did the referee as Alex simply clenched his fist and shattered the rapier's blade into dozens of pieces.

"But, how?" Jason said while breathing heavily as he had used up nearly all of his Aether. "I'm clearly the superior. Me!"

"Clearly you're not. I mean, who the hell uses up all of their Aether in a single move they know won't finish off their opponent." Alex said as he pulled his fist back. "Clench your teeth hard cause this is going to hurt you a lot more than it'll hurt me."

"Wha-" Once again not being able to finish his sentence, Alex punched Jason in his jaw.

The jaw in question shattered as Jason flew across the stage and skidded several times before he was embedded into the lower stadium walls.

As everyone was in shock, a loud yelp was heard from the stage as they turned to Alex who was shaking his right fist in pain while blowing air at it as he stated. "I stand corrected. I knew I should have used Aether on my fist to knock him out."
