Chit Chat

Alina's memories were glitching, and they were getting overlapped. Up until now, she felt like deja vu, but now she had forgotten everything again.

She sighed and went downstairs, only to find Ziro coming up again.

"Why are you walking? You should be resting," Ziro walked Alina to the sofa.

"Come on. It's just a scratch."

She looked at the kitchen and asked, "Did I mess up the food?"

"Yeah, you did. And I don't have any ingredients to make a new one," Ziro answered.

"Well," Alina shrugged her shoulders and said, "Let's order some then."

Ziro raised his brows and uttered, "What happened to that 'But I want you to eat my handmade cooking'?" He tried to imitate Alina.

Alina furrowed her brows and stood up, "Okay then. If you want me to make something out of those burned—"

"Sit down," Ziro forced Alina to sit on the sofa and moved his hand to his pocket to take out his phone. "Great!"

He had forgotten his phone upstairs.

He turned to Alina and reached out his hand to her as he said, "Give me your phone."

"It's getting charged in your room."

Ziro sighed and asserted, "Lily, order some food, please."

He waited for a while for Lily's response, but he was met with silence.

"Lily?" he called out again. "Ah! I forgot she is not here."

Over the past year, Ziro's life has been around Lily, and she had taken care of most of the things, so he had gotten used to being with lily.

"What do you mean by she is not here?" Alina asked with a confused look on her face.

"Her program got corrupted."

"What?! How?!"

"I don't know. When I woke up, it was corrupted. I tried to fix it, but I was getting late for school, so I put it aside for now."

"She will come back, right?" Alina questioned with a concerned look on her face.

"Of course she will. Can't you see how desperate I am without her?"

Alina smiled at him and said, "I will bring my phone from your room."

"I will come with you!"

They went to Ziro's room. Alina handed her phone to Ziro even though he could use his phone.

"I want some points, so make sure you order something that gives points," Alina demanded.

"As you order, your majesty."

Ziro scrolled on the screen and looked at Alina, "Where is the app? I can't find it?"

"It got an update last night, and it got so buggy that I had to delete it."

"Well done. So now I need to go to their website."

"Just call in. Sometimes they have some special offers they don't list on the apps or websites."

"Fine~" Ziro groaned.

Ziro dialed the number and waited for someone to pick it up. His gaze fell on his open closet, where he saw a bunch of bags from the shopping mall.

"Hey Alina," Ziro turned to Alina and said, "How about you go take a bath in the meantime?"

"Uhh…" Alina squinted her eyes and asked, "What are you planning?"

"Nothing," Ziro replied with an obvious grin.

"I would, but I don't have clothes—"

Before Alina could finish her sentence, Ziro grabbed the bags from his closet and handed them to Alina.

"These are the clothes I bought on our last date. You can wear any of these."

Alina started blankly at Ziro and squinted her eyes, "You are really planning something, aren't you?"

"Maybe?"

Alina chose one bag and went downstairs with Ziro while Ziro was still waiting for someone to pick up the phone.

"Come on, pick up the damn phone! This is why you get a low rating, and your business goes bankrupt," Ziro hissed.

"I think they are not picking up because the line is busy, and that means they are busy, which means they are popular and won't go down by one negative feedback," Alina remarked.

"Don't underestimate the power of a hungry man."

Alina kissed Ziro and said, "Don't peek while I am bathing."

"Thanks for the invitation," Ziro grinned and said, "And there is no need to take off the bandage. It's waterproof."

Alina went to the bathroom while Ziro waited for the line to get picked up.

[Hello, thanks for reaching us. How may I help you?] A female employee answered the phone.

"Finally!"

[Sir?]

"I want to order some food," Ziro stated.

[Okay. May I have your order, please?]

"Yes. Uh… I want pizzas and burgers. And ice cream for—"

[Excuse me, Sir. But you need to provide the name and type of the pizza.]

"Just get me the best dish of yours," Ziro shrugged.

[Al~right~]

"Get me two items of each of your best dishes."

[Sir, we have over 300 types of dishes.]

"I don't care, and I am sure not all the 300 dishes are the best. And yeah, the ice cream should be chocolate flavored, dark one."

[Sir, this is a large order. Are you sure? We won't take any refunds later—]

"Yeah, I am sure."

He wasn't sure, but he just wanted to earn Alina as many points as he could.

[Alright. May I have your address, please?]

"Marble Adobe, top of the white hill."

[That's…]

Ziro sensed hesitation in the voice, so he asked, "Any problems?"

[No, Sir. We will deliver your order as soon as possible. I apologize for my behavior—!]

BEEP! BEEP!

"She hung up the call?" Ziro was shocked, but he didn't care and shrugged it off.

He placed Alina's phone on the table and glanced at the bathroom.

'Should I peek?' Ziro questioned himself.

As he was pondering on that, he saw her coming out of the bathroom.

"What? You are done already?" Ziro asked with a puzzled look on his face. "It hasn't even been 2 minutes."

"I am not done. Can't you see I am still wearing my school uniform?"

"Then why are you here? I am sure all your favorite shampoos and lotions are already in the bathroom."

"I know. I am here to…" Alina's face flushed.

"To?"

Alina's face flushed even more, and she averted her gaze before saying, "Would you like to bathe with me?"

Ziro froze for a second, then asked, "You are not joking, right?"

"You know I would never joke about something like this," she replied.

Ziro took off his t-shirt and yelled, "Heck yeah!"

"Wait, wait! I need some time to prepare myself, so come in the bathroom after 5 minutes, okay?"

"This is going to be my longest 5 minutes ever," he muttered as he waited impatiently for the time to pass by.
