Roxus reaches the room. As if she had never coughed up blood, the woman worked quickly. The servants followed her around, confused about what to do until Roxus stopped at her desk. The woman turned to her maids, "Tell Master Luc to escort me to dinner with Father tonight," Roxus said softly.

The maids looked at Roxus with sparkling eyes.

"I have until dinner to finish this flower arrangement," she muttered. Once the bouquet was finished, wrapped in a beautiful ribbon and paper, Roxus smiled with satisfaction. "Good."

"Lady, how about we start getting ready?" bargain one of the maids. It's already around four in the afternoon.

Roxus was surprised. She even skipped time for afternoon tea. "Geez. I'm sorry that I forgot the time like this," Roxus said quietly.

The servants shook their heads quickly. "We are quite happy that Lady is no longer sad," said one of them.

Roxus smiled. The servants helped Roxus bathe and get dressed, then when Roxus was making up, the sound of knocking on the door was heard. Suddenly, Roxus's entire body stiffened.

"Milady, I'm going in," Lucifer's voice sounded. Roxus turned to the flower arrangement she was working on and quickly stood up. Once Lucifer opened the door, Roxus had blocked the flower arrangement on the table with her body so that Lucifer could not see it.

The servants noticed Roxus's attitude and withdrew. "I was the one who brought Cecilia for you, and I've also seen the Asters you bought this afternoon. Why did you hide it from me, Milady? Take it easy, I won't steal it. I already knew you would give it to His Majesty the Crown Prince," said Lucifer, talking too much in a flat tone. He sounded jealous.

Roxus smiled. The servants who heard from another corner of the room were shocked to hear Lucifer's words about the Crown Prince. "When I picked you up earlier, it turned out that you had also been helped by the Crown Prince," said Lucifer dryly.

Roxus turned towards Lucifer. "Luc, you just kept quiet while on the car... why did you just mention about the Crown Prince now?" Roxus asked softly.

Lucifer grits his teeth, hiding them with a flat face. Roxus was hurting his pride, and he was currently being offended. This woman always knew how to start a conversation with him.

Roxus furrowed her brows. Instead of being sad, she looked worried now. "We have to talk about several things. Can you guys wait outside?" Roxus asked the maids.

Luc is a knight, and Roxus is an unmarried noble girl. They cannot stay alone in the same room. But before this, the two of them hadn't been alone for a long time, so the Maids and Footman decided to wait outside as Roxus ordered.

As soon as the door closed, Roxus smiled. Luc still looks flat even though his jawbone looks stiff. "Lucifer, I'm trying to explain my plan to you. You said I should at least explain something to you first," Roxus said softly.

"Currently, you have succeeded in attracting the Crown Prince's attention. Do you intend to break his heart like Ariaster?" asked Lucifer.

Roxus took the bouquet and gave them to Lucifer. "I won't push him away like I drove Ariaster out of the capital. I'll still need him someday, and because of that right now, I want to keep him under control," Roxus said later.

Lucifer shook his head. His eyes narrowed to stare at the woman in front of him with a look full of displeasure. "You don't have to choose me as your shield. There are dozens of noblemen who are stupid enough for you to take advantage of right now," said Lucifer.

"That's why they are stupid enough to fall in love with me," Roxus held out a flower arrangement Lucifer had yet to receive.

Lucifer furrowed his brows.

"In this world, neither of us are in a situation where we can fall in love with anyone," Roxus said with a flat expression.

It is true. Lucifer wants to kill God, while Roxus wants to create a world where her family can live happily. Perhaps their goals were opposite, but in truth, for Roxus, if a world without Gods could create a world where her family was happy, then she wouldn't get in the way of Lucifer either.

Right now, even if they wanted to, they wouldn't be able to fall in love.

"Even though I hate the Crown Prince, the King, Ariaster, and all the nobles in this country, I don't want to demean myself by deceiving their feelings," Roxus said.

Lucifer looked away.

"I will not tie you up. We can still arrange it so you can go whenever you want," said Roxus. "I just want to create a situation where I don't need to get married to save my family," said the woman.

Lucifer sighed. "Then, how about the two of us just get married?" Lucifer's question took Roxus by surprise. Disagreement painted on her face.

However, they knew they would soon be interrupted. "We need to talk further," she said.

There was a knock on the door. Their time together is up. When the door opened, Lucifer held a flower arrangement in his hand, and the entire maid saw it.

"I'll talk to Father..." said Roxus.

Lucifer didn't react, but he looked away. "I will also talk about the Crown Prince tonight," Roxus said then.

"You're going to talk about the Crown Prince, but you gave me this flower arrangement," said Lucifer dryly.

"I gave it to you, my friend," Roxus took a deep breath. "Because apart from my family, you are the one I trust the most in this world," said Roxus.

"Now I know that trusting the person one loves will make one suffer, but from the start, I trusted you not because I love you," Roxus blinked with a sad look. "And today is the day we met for the first time two years ago. I'm not trying to give you hope, but I'm not saying that in the future I won't start loving you," Roxus's words got faster the more she ended her sentence.

Lucifer choked on his breath. He took a deep breath trying to return his flat expression, then turned awkwardly in another direction. The maids wanted to withdraw once again, but they had an obligation not to leave their master alone with a man.

"You sneaky woman," said Lucifer sarcastically.

"Go and leave my flowers if you don't want them," Roxus spoke sharply.

"You gave it to me," Lucifer turned around without bowing respectfully. At the door, he turned his head towards Roxus, and with a sigh, he glares. "And just know that I would have killed Ariaster if you didn't get in my way."

Roxus chuckled. "You will even kill the Crown Prince if I don't get in your way," Roxus said softly.

Lucifer let out a cold expression, then walked away from there. Right now, from the servants' point of view, Lucifer might still be angry and jealous, but he no longer directed his anger towards Roxus. The air felt tight and gripping as soon as Lucifer left the room, but Roxus breathed a sigh of relief. Jealousy and trust are just superficial feelings when compared to their relationship.

"Lucifer," said Roxus. None of the maids could hear her words even though Roxus didn't whisper. "Lucifer," a name that has been erased from this world. "Lucifer," a name that should not be able to pronounce on the human tongue.
