Ernacht followed his sister down the palace aisles.
Quickly, power fell into the hands of Cecilia, Roxus, and Samael. Nobles who were not present at the party were summoned to the palace, and who did not answer the summons would be considered traitors.
"Cece can handle everything. Samael is also enough to protect Cece. Now, I have to protect you and our parents," said Roxus.
Ernacht did not change his expression. From what he and his father knew, Roxus's movements were not large, but the effect was enormous. "Father and I will be able to protect our family well. Ayunda can do other things which according to Ayunda are more important," said Ernacht.
Roxus shook her head. "Nothing is more important than our family," she said with a smile at Ernacht. "And actually, I've asked my father to help Cece and Samael. Nacht, we will protect the County," Roxus said softly.
Ernacht nodded. "Is that why Ayunda asked Mother to remain in the palace?" asked Ernacht.
Roxus nodded. "I've given a message to Samael and Father and asked Cece to always be with Mother," Roxus continued, making Ernacht think that his sister was too meticulous. "And gave Mother and Father's body a protective spell as well," Roxus explained later.
Ernacht chuckled. Roxus stopped walking and turned to Ernacht. "Do you think something is missing?" Roxus asked.
Ernacht shook his head. "Actually, how strong is Ayunda's strength to be able to do everything like this?" asked Ernacht.
The older sister chuckled. "At least strong enough to behead a dragon?" Roxus asked quietly.
Ernacht choked.
Lucifer appeared at the end of the corridor. He stopped walking when he saw Roxus and Ernacht arrive. A dazzling smile bloomed on the young man's face when Roxus stretched out her hand towards him. "How is it?" Roxus asked.
Gently, Lucifer nodded.
"I guess, now she is confused and can not do anything?" Roxus asked.
"It is true. I've checked everything and asked someone to watch her closely. You asked me to influence the Knights who were always with her, Sir Argos to advise that woman not to interfere," explained Lucifer.
"I still doubt she will keep quiet," said Roxus.
"But why do you always ask me to do something related to that woman?" Lucifer sounded irritated.
Smiling and closing her curved eyes softly, Roxus said, "Because I trust you and because that woman is so unpredictable," Roxus replied.
Lucifer opened his mouth, almost said they had better kill her, but then sighed. They can't kill her. "Can we talk?" asked Lucifer quietly.
Roxus shook her head. "We don't need to talk," Roxus answered without hesitation.
Lucifer's expression did not change, and Ernacht started to furrow his brows.
"You've done everything you can for me. If you want to go now, I won't get in your way."
Roxus spoke so softly. Lucifer didn't speak. He looked at Roxus in a way that was difficult to interpret.
"I know you are planning to join the war in the north. The troubles in the capital will mess things up, but me, Cece, and Samael are enough to sort this out. Before things get messy, you have to go immediately," said Roxus.
Lucifer shook his head. "I was going to go, but not for that," he explained.
"Is there something you have to do?" Roxus asked while tilting her face.
"Right. I'll be back before the red moon," replied the man.
The two of them stared at each other. Roxus chuckled. "You don't have to do that..."
"No matter how strong you are, if you still have weaknesses, you can still die," Lucifer spoke seriously. "The heart of a Calamity Dragon will correct your weakness."
"Wh—" Ernacht gasped at the hearing about the Calamity Dragon.
"You crazy bastard," Roxus whispered.
Lucifer smiled softly. "If when I come back you are in pain and risking your life, you must remember that you promised to give me one wish."
"You know I won't have that," Roxus said.
Lucifer chuckled. "If it's not fatigue or overexertion, maybe some other variable emerges and makes you hurt," said Lucifer quietly.
"The variable you have confirmed won't interfere," Roxus continued.
"I guess I am still worried," Lucifer scratched the back of his head.
looked at Ernacht. The young man still furrowed his brows. "Daisy," said Lucifer to Ernacht. "If you want to protect Lady Roxus, make sure the woman named Daisy can not approach the Lady under any conditions."
"...I understand," replied Ernacht quietly, but seriously.
Lucifer smiled softly. With doubt on his face, Lucifer once again asked, "Can we talk?"
Roxus is silent. The woman walked past Lucifer. "Be careful, and come back soon."
Ernacht stayed put because he didn't know what to do in a situation like this. When Roxus had walked a few steps away, Ernacht began walking quickly past Lucifer while bowing respectfully towards Lucifer who was silent on the spot. Ernacht could see the sad expression on Lucifer's face. A sad expression that was a little strange because it felt out of place. Lucifer turned around, staring at Roxus's back who was starting to move away.
"I've talked about marriage to Lord Croix," said Lucifer, calm and gentle, which immediately made Roxus stop walking.
Ernacht already knew about this, but Roxus didn't. Roxus's expression quickly changed. The woman's brows furrowed. Her shaded eyes turned cold, and her plump lips curved in a direction that made her face look hideous. Seeing that, Ernacht was petrified. The last time he saw his sister make such an expression—Oh. Again he felt that he had never seen his sister make such an expression—
The woman's eyes were no longer shaded and warm but frowned sharply and coldly. Her plump lips opened slightly, revealing the double right fangs that Roxus had. Like a predator showing its anger that its territory was being disturbed, Roxus turned towards Lucifer with an expression that had somehow changed drastically. A flat expression that was far more terrifying than all the angry expressions she had before.
"Can we talk?" Lucifer looked at Roxus with the same expression and asked for the third time.
"Can we talk?" the veins on Roxus' temples popped out. The woman's eyebrows rose, with a face that was still so terrifying. Why is this man so desperate? Roxus knows that Lucifer is not in love with her, so why? Why?!
"Alright. We'll talk when I get back from my trip," said Lucifer, turning to leave.
Snap!
Roxus snapped her fingers. A purplish circle of spells formed on Lucifer's back. Lucifer stopped walking, he turned towards Roxus who had turned away.
Ernacht froze in place. He may not be a Magus and doesn't understand magic, but he knows that the magic circle is similar to the protective magic circle Roxus made for him in the magic item she gave him.
"Rox—"
"Come back in one piece," Roxus said without turning away.
