Juverin The Ancient Dragon

"Thank you, Luci," Roxus' sweet voice sounded into Juverin's ears, making Juverin freeze for a moment. His eyes looked towards Roxus and her tiny face. The woman's eyes were shaded and warm, purple like a sparkling crystal that reflected light. His heart ached. He seemed to see a younger version of his wife, The Purple Dragon who has gone.

Especially those lavender eyes. He clearly remembered the colour of his own wife's eyes, which had passed away, along with his sad gaze. Right now, he was standing there, able to feel the energy from his son's heart within the woman's body, and the gentle appearance of his wife sitting there. Oh, he felt like he had just met a daughter he never had.

"Roxie, are you okay? Does your body feel uncomfortable?" Eoin asked softly.

Juverin then saw this father and daughter next to each other. He realized that this father and child were bound by blood. The girl has the same gaze as her father, and she also looks similar to Eoin, but nothing in her appearance makes her resemble Amaranth. Juverin then realized, that maybe this family is a little special. The father has a daughter with another woman, and his wife has a son with another man.

"I'm fine, Father."

"Are you sure? I can see that your body is stable now, but I am still worried," said Amaranth who came closer. The worry on Amaranth's face was not fake. Juverin saw that Ernacht's expression was also more or less the same.

He also thought again. This family may not be related by blood, but they are so close to each other. For a Dragon who values blood relations more than anything, Juverin feels a little strange.

"I'm fine, Mother. This is all thanks to Master Lucius and…" Roxus's gaze turned towards a man who was standing silently in the room. When Juverin locked eyes with Roxus, Juverin began to understand. Roxus's figure is so fragile but no matter how strong the wind blows, she will not be carried away by the current. The aura of her existence was like that of an old dragon who had experienced everything in this world.

If he unconsciously considered Lucifer to resemble his son, because of his pride and confidence, then maybe he could love Roxus like his own daughter. Very funny. As he gets older, it's easy for him to feel sentimental.

"Wait a minute," Juverin suddenly realized. He saw Lucifer being well and was offended. "You...!"

"I'm sure I cut off that hand," said the Blue Dragon confusedly.

Lucifer looked at his left hand. From the start, he knew that losing his left hand wasn't something he should be worried about, because Roxus's power could even regenerate a shattered body if the person was still not dead. "Oh, yes. My Love—I mean, Lady Roxus healed it for me," replied Lucifer.

"So the Archmage can do that too?" asked Juverin.

Roxus chuckled. "Greetings to the Great Blue Dragon, Lord Juverin. My name is Roxus Croix, nice to meet you," she said softly in a sweet voice.

"Right. Greetings to you too, Lady Archmage," said Juverin then.

"Lady Archmage," Roxus laughed at Juverin's call to her.

"You are talented. That magical wall beyond the walls of your capital, I won't be able to destroy it in one hit. May I see your Mana Circuit?" asked Juverin then, frankly, looking curious.

"And why would you want to see Lady Roxus's Mana Circuit?" asked Lucifer, quickly blocking Juverin.

"Inside her body is my son's heart. At least I have the right to see her Mana Circuit, right?" argued Juverin.

"Are you tired of living?" asked Lucifer coldly.

"Right! Really! I'm tired of living. You said you wanted to kill me, but now I am no longer afraid of your threats because you do it too often," said Juverin, pushing Lucifer away.

"Oi!" Lucifer looked annoyed, with angry veins on his temples.

"Do not be noisy. You nag too much even though you are young," said Juverin making Lucifer look even angrier.

It was as if the people around them were sitting on a crumbling roof. Lucifer treated Juverin too harshly. Juverin is an Ancient Dragon. Did Lucifer not consider that, or did Lucifer act like that because he was indeed stronger than Juverin? Likewise, Juverin has his respect for Lucifer so he doesn't seem offended. Rather, the old dragon seemed to understand why Lucifer was annoyed with him.

"I just want to look at your lover's wrist, I won't steal her from you, young man," said Juverin, then sat on the chair next to Roxus after shifting Lucifer who tried to block him from behind. "May I, Lady?" asked the man and held out his hand.

Roxus smiled softly and stretched out her left hand. Juverin grabbed Roxus's skinny hand that looked like it was about to break with the least effort. He tried to be gentle and then focused his attention on the mana circuits in Roxus' body. Juverin raised his eyebrows. "What the hell?" he asked softly. He turned to look at Roxus's face. "You... you don't even have a Mana Core in your body!"

Amaranth stares in shock at Roxus and Juverin. "W—then how can Roxus become an Archmage?"

Lucifer took a deep sigh.

"Lord Juverin, have you ever heard of a term called Origination?" Roxus asked.

Juverin furrowed his brows deeply. "You mean, a situation where a magic practitioner returns to their original form after experiencing thousands of years of cultivating and training and researching magic?"

Roxus nodded.

"Don't tell me, you've been through all that and are now returning to your original form before you even had mana core?" asked Juverin, for it was impossible. Then, what can explain the phenomenon before him?

"I haven't experienced all of that, but there is a theory that could reverse the process," Roxus explained.

"What?!" Juverin was surprised. "You mean, you didn't go through all the years of training, body-magic experimentation, and research and just use upper-tier magic with a normal human body?!"

Amaranth tilted her face with a confused expression. Is that possible? It is impossible! An ordinary human body would not even be able to sense mana around it. A gifted mage would only be able to properly control mana after years of accustoming themself to spells and research. But if that's true, is that also the reason why Amaranth hasn't felt any mana in Roxus's body all this time?

Roxus glared at Juverin innocently. "In the first place, if we could feel the mana, we could immediately control it without having to put the mana into our bodies, right?"

"No, no. Your logic is reversed! An ordinary person, even a Dragon like me has to get used to the mana flowing through the body first before being able to use it to create spells. Only then, can we control mana outside our bodies! How can you skip that process and directly control mana outside your bodies?!" asked Juverin.

"But if from the start I could feel the mana grooves around me, I can do it. Even if I don't see or feel it directly, I can control Mana wherever it is in this world because Mana intersects one another," Roxus said.

"Impossible! What you said was just a theory, no way—" Juverin stopped his words as he felt someone's left hand land on his shoulder. When he turned his head, Lucifer gave him a disgusting look.

"Why are you talking like you know everything? Of course, it can be done. I can do it too, but not as good as Roxus. Roxus can even hit me with lightning even though I'm at the other end of this world and she doesn't know where I am, but I have to at least know the whereabouts of my target if I want to strike it with lightning without having to see it," explained Lucifer in a half annoyed voice. Well, he was the one who told Roxus how to controls Mana and how to be a magus—

Juverin fell silent. "Lady, are you sure you are just an Archmage? You're not a High Human or a High Elf?" asked Juverin.
