Windbloom

The door opened. The sun seemed to be rising from the shadows of the clouds when Lucifer entered the room because Roxus was seen emitting a dazzling light from her smile.

Today, Roxus cut her hair short, just like her future self. She wore earrings that sparkled with blue sapphires, and the same tone of jewellery was wrapped around her neck and arms. The dress is sky blue, looks innocent and charming. In their hair, they pinned various tiny blue hair ornaments in the shape of shooting stars. She looks luxurious but also looks appropriate.

Roxus' lips were pink. Her lashes were polished to make them look longer, and her cheeks were rosy and soft.

"Why did you go to the palace looking like that? You're almost asking to be kissed—" Lucifer cleared his throat, remembering that they were no longer their usual ones, and the Maids quickly glanced at him with eyes ready to record the scandal with their own eyes.

"Do you think Lord Ariaster will kiss me if I look like this?" Roxus asked.

"I, will kiss you," said Lucifer, emphasizing the word "I".

"Is that a threat?" Roxus asked in a joking manner.

"You'll be late." Lucifer turned around, opened the door, then turned to look at Roxus. "Milady," he said correcting his words politely.

"Why don't you call me as usual, Master Luc?" Roxus didn't want an answer, because Lucifer didn't answer and just shook his head.

By then, Roxus was already up and ready, but Luc turned around to take Roxus's coat, moving as if he was used to it. The maids who looked at him blinked a few times. They may have noticed, but they often saw Lucifer moving in excellent synergy around Roxus. As soon as the two of them walked side by side down the stairs, everyone who had not seen Roxus with her new appearance stopped moving, talking, and breathing.

They always thought Lady Croix didn't have a special appearance. She always looks plain and boring, although on the other hand she also looks neat and warm, like a conventional madam.

At the door, a footman was standing there and clearing his throat. "Today, Lord Ariaster came to visit Lord Croix," he said, perhaps wondering why Roxus chose to leave the house looking so different.

Roxus placed her hand on her chest, then let out a sad smile. "He came to cancel our engagement. Why should I stay home?" Roxus asked in a low voice.

The footman looks touched to see the woman in front of him grieving.

"Her Majesty the Princess must have been waiting. You said we still have to buy flowers to arrange together on the trip, Milady?" asked Lucifer.

"Of course, Master Lucius. We have to remind the driver later," Roxus said cheerfully but seemed to hide all her sadness, as Lucifer quickly helped her into a long dark blue fur coat.

The door opened, and the two of them chatted warmly with each other. They didn't stop chatting until Roxus had to get into the horse carriage, while Lucifer got on his horse. Lucifer's sudden appearance took the servants by surprise. Not only was he the man Lady Croix immediately trusted, but Lord Croix's full trust as well.

The man who was immediately appointed as the Lady's beloved Honorable Knight, a position that was not given haphazardly even among the hereditary Knights of the Croix. However, the servants and all of Croix County's subjects soon realized that Lucius was a capable man for his position. He defeated seven other knights on the training ground without drawing his sword. Moreover, the fact that Roxus personally introduced him to everyone as "Master Lucius" made everyone assume that man was a Swordmaster.

They stopped at the flower shop, and as soon as Roxus got off the carriage, it was as if the world was welcoming her with attention and flattery. "Today, what flowers would you like to arrange, Milady?" asked Lucifer.

"Windbloom," Roxus replied. "We're going to buy Cecilia and Aster."

The two flowers that matched Roxus so well, and the two flowers that Lucifer had given Roxus when she ascended the throne as Bertia's new King and renamed the country as Croiso. At that time, Lucifer had named the two flower combinations as Windbloom, even though it had absolutely nothing to do with Roxus.

Roxus looked at the colourful flowers in the pots and baskets but looked a little disappointed. "I want to make Windbloom, but why can't I find flowers that make me satisfied," she muttered.

The flower shop shopkeeper blinked. "Windbloom, Lady...?"

"Next time I'll get the flowers for you, Milady," said Lucifer in a soft voice that quickly captivated everyone in the flower shop.

"Luc, just tell me where you got the flowers. I also want to arrange flowers like the one you gave me," Roxus said with such a sweet, spoiled tone.

Lucifer chuckled.

Roxus then looked away and saw several red daisies in full bloom. "Red Asters!" she exclaimed cheerfully. The woman walked quickly to the flower and looked at Lucifer. "Doesn't Red Asters look like you, Luc?" asked the woman.

"Is it true?" asked Lucifer, honestly never have thought of that.

"Mmm," Roxus looked away. "How about Yellow Lilies?" she asked.

Lucifer looks pleased. He was standing by Roxus' side with his hands kept behind his back, but he was trying hard not to embrace Roxus who was acting cute. Red Asters and Yellow Lily. Lucifer is a demon with red hair and golden eyes.

After selecting the flowers she liked, carrying the flowers in her arms, she returned to the horse carriage. The Croix Family Carriage has always been simple and elegant. However, seeing a knight in a horse guard in black uniform following the car made everyone curious.

Lady Croix used to go anywhere alone without bodyguards. Oh, what could harm a lady in the capital? What's more, the Croix Family, although only a Count's, is a family led by Eoin Croix, Prime Minister of Bertia's close friend, and Lady Croix, Duke Ariaster's fiancé.

When they descended in front of the palace door, Roxus' presence immediately attracted attention. It's a Tuesday, everyone who lives and works in the palace must be familiar with Roxus's schedule of visiting her best friend, the First Princess of the Bertia Kingdom, Cecilia Lune Bertia.

Yet that day, once again, the world greeted her with praise and admiration. The red and yellow flowers that the woman carried in her arms were not as bright as the woman who carried them.

Walking quickly through the labyrinthine garden between Cecilia's and Leonid's palaces, Roxus occasionally looked back, making sure Lucifer was still by her side. Chuckles, short chats filled with cheerful tones rang out from the two as they tried to make their way through the maze. And some of the people who were watching either watched then looks away immediately or watched without looking away.

Until then the two of them enter another garden. The garden was much different from the previous garden. Blossoming flowers, colourful flowers, and leaves on the path greeted them. Shady trees spread all over the garden, and in the centre, a long blonde-haired woman with emerald green eyes sat in a wheelchair.
