Just My Luck

Never in my life did I think I'd be in this kinda situation. Where my life would be on the line, All I wanted to do was live a peaceful life but of course fate doesn't exactly allow me to do that.

I had just finished a 10 hour shift and the sun was starting to rise into the horizon. It was the year xxxx and almost all technology was beyond advanced. I never in my 23 years of life would've thought I'd encounter a being such as him he was almost 190 cm and a solemn quiet type.

I had seen him at the restaurant a couple times enjoying dinner with different people angels, devils, wolves, vampires and even you're occasional human every now or then but I would've never thought I would be his next target. I mean I was beyond ordinary last time someone had a crush on me was in kindergarten.

So what exactly about me appealed this man and made him so attracted to me, I mean I wasn't exactly a beautiful model jeez i wasn't even your above average protagonist. I rarely even talk to customers unless I have to, but here I am sitting in a hotel room with the guy who just saved my life. Let me start you off by telling you how exactly I ended up in the situation I'm in.

I was walking home after closing the restaurant bar down for the day, which wasn't unusual I usually work night shifts but unlike other days it was a chilly autumn morning and the other's had already taken off so I was walking home alone. It wasn't dangerous or anything it was a high class restaurant in a decent part of town so how did I almost end up as someones next meal.

I was taking a back alleyway to get home faster when I heard a rustling sound, instinctively I speed up almost jogging home I was about 2 or 3 blocks away from my apartment when I smelled an awful stench I turned the next corner and discovered the source of the smell it was a middle aged woman feasting on a younger male, the second I adjusted and noticed what was happening I ran I only stopped when I was thrown against the wall and blinking in and out of consciousness.

Soon enough the woman had raised my half unconscious body and held it against the wall. The coldness of the wall made me realise the cruel fate of what was happening, knowing what come next I closed my eyes knowing I wouldn't be getting home that my poor hospitalized mother would probably be devastated by the news of her baby being murdered by the same monster that had taken her husband from her. Soon enough I felt a prick on my neck and slid into consciousness.
