~~~(POV: Durado)~~~
Ziller coughs a little and tries to catch his breath.
He's exhausted and looks ready to pass out. "The Primordium and their tech are the most valuable things in the universe. However, Heroor wasn't the only thing Teller-Bravo was interested in. I hacked into one of their servers before we were scapegoated. The Primordium left clues and coordinates to a location. The file said that the encryption on the information was too hard to crack." Ziller's natural defiance and curiosity have led him to learn some secrets that weren't supposed to be seen.
His eyes flutter open and closed. I walk over to a sink and filled a container with cold water. I bring it back and dump it on him. He wakes up and looks confused.
He regains himself and looks at me. "That's the only file I could get my hands on, Teller-Bravo has the information, but they don't know how to access it. They aren't smart enough. It's funny, y'know... I bet it drove some of those egg heads to insanity. Once Teller-Bravo was done studying whatever they were, that's when we started the abductions." There must have been ruins or something left by The Primordium.
After they got what they wanted from it, they couldn't risk any competitors from finding out about it. I'm betting that's why they decided to sterilize Heroor.
The Yelare system seems to hold mysteries that even the best and brightest minds in the universe couldn't figure out. "Is that all you have left to say?" If it is, it'll be time to put an end to his life. He looks up and shakes his head. I'm surprised he has so much to share.
I don't know if he's planning something, but no one knows he's here. So no one is coming from him.
He shivers all over his body, and that's because the room is cold. He's only in his underwear. It allows me access to torture any part of his body. "Those eggheads... They did find out something... I was able to pull one away and question him... They always crumble under the fear of pain..." He chuckles to himself as he says that.
I motion for him to move it along. "He said that they discovered an unencrypted message regarding something The Primordium encountered. That's all I could get out of him... That's everything..." I lean back in my chair and process the information.
I'm definitely going to need Scott's help on this. The kid is smarter than he lets on, and I know that he's special in some way. Even for a player. How special is unknown to me. "I'll make it quick, just like I promised." He slowly nods his head, and I pull my blaster out.
I point it at his temple, and he closes his eye, accepting his fate. I pull the trigger, and a blaster bolt flies out of the tip of my blaster. Putting a hole through his head and instantly killing him. Quick and painless, just like I said. I need to do some digging on Teller-Bravo before I meet up with Scott.
I leave the room and press a button on the panel as I leave. Some worker drones come out, and they'll take care of the body. Put it in storage, so when Scott and I take his body in, it'll be in pristine condition. I walk down the hall leading out of the secret safe room.
I exit from behind a hidden door into an apartment. I walk over to the computer and begin looking up information on Teller-Bravo. As the richest and most exclusive cooperation in the universe, it's dangerous going after them. They are also the most secretive, so finding anything out is going to be hard.
There are some websites regarding the amazing things Teller-Bravo is doing for people in the local group. The local group is a set of galaxies most explored from the age of transgalactic travel. Impyra isn't part of the local group.
We're in the same cluster of galaxies, though. The distance from Impyra to the galaxy in which they reside is about 260 million light-years. It'll take a day to get to the local group from here. The place I'll be heading next is called Proxima. It's a galaxy where Teller-Bravo is based and has almost complete control over it.
