~~~(POV: Durado)~~~
I dump the bucket of water over the unconscious commander. The cold penetrating power of the water instantly wakes Larzacks up. "RAAGH! Where am I!?" He's got a pair of lungs on him, and I'm not that fond of screamers.
He locks eyes with me, and he grits his teeth but stays quiet. I place the bucket down and sit across in another chair from Larzacks.
He's got restraints, and they're not easily broken. "What do you want, Bounty Hunter?" He speaks in a low growl and is trying to convey some form of intimidation. I'm not impressed.
I fold my arms and think of my next question carefully. He's going to be highly resistant to physical torture, so this will be word games and battles of wit. "Teller-Bravo... You're a commander for them?" I'm starting out simple, trying to get him to lower his defenses just a little.
He doesn't respond and has the same hard expression. "You don't have to speak, just listening will work." It'll be difficult getting through this one. He's unresponsive and refuses to break eye contact. Trying in any way to prove his dominance over me.
Personal information about him will bring a new angle, but with his personality, he could react violently. I lift the datapad from the small table at my side.
It's filled with his personal information. Things about his homeworld, his accomplishments, and, most importantly.
His family. A man's weakness will always be his family. He's married in terms of his race, and he has a son. Didn't follow in his father's footsteps.
This will be important, and it'll be the thing I need to take down his walls and get inside that head of his.
I isolate all the information on his family, and I stare right back into his eyes. "Your partner and son are being protected. It'll be hard to reach them." He looks at me in anger but stays quiet. "I know some people, though, and I think they'll be happy to kill them for all the horrible things you've done to them." Larzacks has a reputation for being extremely cruel and merciless.
He has his fair share of enemies, and I know some of the names on the list that prove significant danger. He struggles with his restraints, but he gets nothing out of it.
The weakness is now obvious, and I'm going to exploit it. "You think you can threaten me and live to tell the tale!?" He shakes in his chair and tries to make it fall over.
Too bad for him it's attached to the ground via magnates. "I swear when I get out of these damn restraints, I'm gonna rip your head off and show it to your daughter." A red-hot rage boils beneath my surface, and a scowl appears on my face.
He knows about my daughter, and by his words, she's still alive. "You'll never see her again! Not the way you want to!" I keep my control and composure.
There is more to learn from him, and I will make sure I get everything he knows. "Gord-Prime." I watch his face morph in confusion.
I knew it. He didn't know I already knew where she's being kept. "You're going to tell me everything I know, or I'm going to leak your family's location to every person you've ever hurt. You have one hour, and the lives of the ones you love hang in the balance." I'll hurt and kill his family.
I follow through on my threats. I won't lose any sleep over this, and he's got all the pressure on him.
His demeanor shows me something, weakness, and fear. It only leaked through for a second, but we both know I saw it.
I stand up and make my way toward the door. "I'll be back in 55 minutes. Take every second you need. You'll need it." I head for the exit, and he starts screaming threats at me regarding my threats against his family.
I ignore them, and the door slides shut behind me. I exit the brig and follow one of the machine navigators. They're robots that show you the correct way around the ship. It's absolutely massive, after all.
