The Orc Leader
Adam felt cold sweat going down his back.
It felt like the monster was staring at him, so he decided not to move.
After a bit, he saw the monster lay down on its bed of leaves.
'The wolf must have woken it up for a second. Good thing it can't notice me.' Adam thought as he wiped droplets of sweat from his forehead.
He walked towards the hut's entrance.
Inside, there was only the big monster and a Treasure Chest.
He paid it no mind.
Instead, he was thinking about how to get rid of the monster in front of him.
'Since it's asleep, am sure I can take it. But I'd like Light or Python to get the Experience Points. Its rank is [D-]. That makes it approximately as strong as The Spider Queen. It'll have high Health Points, high Endurance Points and high Strength I'm assuming.'
Adam looked at the torch hanging on the wall.
'Even if it takes the torch, it'll be hard for it to see me. I have my Temporary Concealment Skill anyways.'
He walked away from the hut and towards the cage.
When Adam arrived in front of the cage, he extended his hand towards the Gray Wolf and the monster that looked like a pig.
[1 Gray Wolf has been defeated. Congratulations! You have gained 35Gold and 70Experience Points.]
[1 Carnivorous Pig has been defeated. Congratulations! You have gained 15Gold and 30Experience Points.]
Both turned to dust in an instant.
He thought about Light Mana Potions, and two appeared in each of his hands.
He drank them on the spot.
"Light, Python. Come out." He whispered.
The two Tamed Monsters appeared to his sides without making a sound.
"Only attack after it goes out of that hut. Stay here. Aim at the leg." Adam whispered.
He walked towards the hut.
'The stronger a monster is, the more Mana Points and Endurance Points are used up to turn them to dust. Turning the Orc Leader's arm to dust would probably use up double what an Orc's arm would.'
He walked into the hut and towards the monster.
'Turning its head to dust would be the best thing to do, as I can use all my Mana Points and Endurance Points to end the fight right away.'
Adam extended his left hand towards the monster's right leg.
The Orc Leader was about 2.20 meters tall.
Compared to other Orcs(1.80meters), it was huge.
It was also much more muscular and its fangs were long and sharp.
Lying next to it was a huge Battle Axe.
Adam's hand stopped approaching the monster's body.
'What if all the other Orcs come here after it screams?' He thought for a second.
The next instant, he wrapped his hand around the monster's knee and used all his Mana Points.
The monster woke up and swung its fist in Adam's direction.
'Shit.'
Even though he had used up all his Mana Points, it wasn't even enough to turn its knee to dust.
A portion of its leg was gone.
The monster roared loudly as it grabbed its Battle Axe with one arm.
Adam jumped back outside the hut and into the darkness.
He could hear sounds coming from beyond the wall.
Orcs were waking up and moving closer.
The Orc Leader had lost a portion of its leg, but it still stood up and took the torch into its right hand.
With its huge Battle Axe in its left hand and the torch in its right hand, it walked forward to face the attacker.
A Fire Ball appeared in the darkness and moved rapidly towards the monster's body.
The Orc Leader swung its Battle Axe at the Fire Ball and launched its body in the direction the Fire Ball came from.
It was annoyed because of its injured leg, but that wasn't nearly enough to lower its combat power.
The monster swung its weapon towards the ground with all its strength.
The attack missed Python by a bit.
The Fire Salamander ran away and climbed the wooden wall.
The Orc Leader that relied on its eyesight couldn't see it hiding in the dark. It thought there was only one enemy.
Suddenly, sharp claws scratched its already injured leg.
It was a shallow injury, but some blood was flowing outside its body.
Even though it had done minimal damage, the monster was surprised at the attack.
First, part of its leg turned to dust. It didn't feel pain nor did it lose Health Points. Then, a Fire Ball was launched at it. Now, it got scratched.
It started doubting that there was only one attacker.
'Good thing Light has Night Vision and a Stealth Stat.' Adam thought as he moved closer to the monster.
He grabbed his Black Widow's Sword with both arms and from behind the monster, he swung it towards that injured right leg.
The monster roared once more and swung its torch towards Adam.
But he had already jumped away.
Its right leg started bleeding a lot more than before.
'I hit its knee joint. Its bones are sturdy. No wonder I couldn't turn its leg to dust. Using all my Mana points and all Endurance Points might have done the job. But using all that for a knee is not worth it. Especially since I don't know how Python and Light would act if I pass out.' Adam thought as he jumped away from the monster.
While the monster was looking in Adam's direction, Light jumped up and bit the Orc Leader's neck from behind with all its strength.
The monster tried shaking Light off, but the wolf held on tightly.
A Fire Ball hit the monster's bleeding leg. It didn't do much damage, but it drove the Orc Leader's anger further.
Adam used his Temporary Concealment Skill to place himself behind the Orc Leader that was still struggling because of Light.
The Orc Leader let go of his torch.
"JUMP AWAY." Adam shouted as he jumped up towards the monster's right arm.
Light let go of the monster's neck, but it was too late.
The Orc Leader grabbed Light's foreleg with its right hand and was about to squeeze it with all its strength when...
'Weapon Switch.'
Adam's Black Widow Sword was switched with his Goblin Chief's Greatsword.
He swung the weapon with both arms vertically with all his strength towards the monster's right elbow.
The Orc Leader's right forearm flew in the air and green blood flowed everywhere.
The monster wasted no time and kicked Adam's body as soon as he hit the ground with its injured right leg.
As his side was kicked, Adam threw up and was launched towards the wooden wall.
The monster roared because of the pain it felt by kicking with its injured leg.
The monster had lost one hand and one of its legs could barely move.
Adam quickly got up.
With his back against the wooden wall, he supported himself using his greatsword.
'Shit...Too much damage...'
Suddenly, Adam sensed something coming towards him and jumped away.
A flying Battle Axe was spinning in the air towards him.
Since the Orc Leader's body was injured, its aim wasn't perfect.
The attack would have still been enough to kill Adam, had his Sense Stat not been as high as it was.
The weapon's blade grazed Adam's left shoulder and was embedded deeply inside the wooden wall.
The Orc Leader ran as fast as it could towards its weapon.
Even though he was in pain, he didn't let go of such an opportunity.
'This guy can't see me. If it loses its weapon, I win.'
Adam grabbed the weapon's hilt. He couldn't even move it away from the wall.
"Unequip!" He shouted.
The weapon disappeared from the wall.

Despite the pain, a smirk appeared on Adam's face.
He jumped away from where he had been standing and started drinking Medium Healing Potions.
The Orc Leader had picked up the torch and was now looking for its weapon on the ground.
Another Fire Ball hit its injured leg.
It continued looking for its weapon.
Light scratched its injured leg.
The Orc Leader paid it no mind.
Finding its weapon was its first priority.
After drinking 3 Medium Healing Potions, Adam exchanged his Goblin Chief's Greatsword with his Old Assassin's Dagger.
He moved behind the Orc Leader and stabbed its back twice before the Orc Leader reacted.

The monster swung its remaining left arm towards Adam.
He simply lowered his body down and slashed the monster's right injured leg.
The Orc Leader kicked back with its injured leg as it roared in pain.
Kicking with its intact left leg was not possible. The Orc Leader knew that whatever was left of its right leg was not enough to support its huge body. The monster needed to either stand on both legs or on its left leg.
Adam jumped back easily evaded the attack.
His injuries had practically healed thanks to the Medium Healing Potions he drank.
The monster gave up on finding its weapon.
It turned its body towards the attackers.
With its back against the wooden wall, the Orc Leader swung its torch left and right to keep the attackers away.
Adam was surprised at the image for a second.
He knew that the roles between hunter and prey inside the Orc Leader's mind had been switched.
'It thought of us as prey first. That's why it jumped out of the hut to attack Python instead of staying back. But now, it's completely on the defensive.'
Adam put his dagger inside his Inventory.
He drank two Light Mana Potions.
'I'll make one Spear with all my Mana Potions. Maximum power, minimal duration.'
Purple energy was condensed between his hands.
His Mana Points were at about a third of their Max Value.
[ Conjured Spear [E-]. Attack Power: 90. Duration: 5seconds. ]
He immediately threw the Spear towards the monster's body.
The Orc Leader was fast enough to protect its body with its remaining arm, but it still penetrated that arm and grazed the monster's stomach.
The monster let go of the torch. It fell to the ground.
Seconds later, the Conjured Spear disappeared and massive amounts of blood flowed out of the Orc Leader's pierced arm.
Adam quickly grabbed the torch and threw it on the other side of the wooden wall.
The Orc leader found itself bleeding, burnt and missing an arm.
But it still didn't run away.
It swung its remaining arm angrily and randomly in the dark.
That was because the Orc Leader was the strongest Orc in the camp.
The instant the Orc Leader was not the strongest anymore, other Orcs would fight it to take its place.
It didn't try running away because it knew that death awaited it outside.
On the other hand, if it managed to grab the attackers here, then it would be possible to survive.
Therefore, the Orc Leader struggled.
As Python shot Fire Balls at it, as Light scratched and bit its whole body, it struggled.
Meanwhile, Adam had stopped fighting.
Instead, he stood away and drank Potions.
'This fight is over. The other Orcs might come in. Gotta get my Health Points and Mana points back.'
Just like how he had gotten contribution points during his fight against the Spider Queen, he hoped that Light and Python would get those too.
That was partly why he wanted them to inflict as much damage as possible before the Orc Leader died.
Eventually, the Orc Leader fell to the ground.
