EPISODE 12 - The Overruling Statement

May 5, 20XX

*Typing on phone*

*Kibe sighs at home*

That was a mess of things, and when I texted Okada back at home, she said that she didn't remember anything and teased me that I was a degenerate.

Kibe: THAT B*TCH! But luckily for me she, canceled my

So what actually happened?

Kibe: Though it was a total waste of an opportunity, I can't take it again because the rule of Hentai has no bounds or no ethics, and I can't have that.

These past few days, I have analyzed my experiences thus far and I have formulated a theory. Or should I call it a theorem because it's bound to be true anyway?

Kibe: Now then...

I called it...

Kibe: The Overruling Statement. It is defined as the rule which only occurs in a world full of protagonists, specifically, this one, which whenever two protagonists cross each others' paths, is where a genre, place, theme, person's personality, role, and its everlasting effects on the storyline overall gets overruled by one or the other or gets conjoined.

Amazing if I do say so myself.

Kibe: However, before I clarify what the statement meant, I have to go over the types of encounters.

Condition 1: Let's say Protagonist 1 encounters Protagonist 2 and there is no change in roles, whatsoever, there are three branches to this...

Condition 1.1: If there is a change in genre, it is labeled as the Addition of Another Protagonist. It isn't too uncommon in anime.

Condition 1.2: If there is a change in genre, in which it becomes a Slice-of-Life Comedy only, it is labeled as a Crossover.

Condition 1.3: If there is no change in genre, it is labeled as a Reference and will only last for a short amount of time. Referencing in anime is pretty common and it's fun to spot, but not fun to spot here.

Condition 2: Let's say Protagonist 1 encounters Protagonist 2 and there is a change in roles since I'm assuming I'm the only true Mob Character, the change can only be a demotion to a side character in one's point of view in their own storylines, in short, Shared Universe.

Kibe: Now to define the Overruling Statement itself by giving an example, let's say Protagonist 1 who is an Action-Mystery Protagonist meets Protagonist 2 who is a Slice-of-Life Comedy Protagonist, by following Condition 1.2, both protagonists become involved in a crossover and ultimately overrules Protagonist 1's genre.

Not only that, there is actually more to the system, I think there's actually a hierarchy in which a genre is most probable to overrule another genre. Though I don't exactly know how to rank it, I can tell Hentai has a 100% overruling rate because of its madness and it crosses all boundaries.

Kibe: It's useless to me now though.

Ok, I think this is enough yapping for now. Though I've been thinking of this, this hasn't been the only thing I've been thinking. I've gained more information on why I could never become a true protagonist no matter how hard I tried.

Kibe: I... am not qualified to become a protagonist. And the reason that won't change is because my personality will never change.

I'm a mob character, duh. I don't receive change unless given a different role.

Kibe: However, there is one genre I can still join in but not as a protagonist at first. I never thought I'd resort to this immediately. The Slice-of-Life genre, I have to do it. For the sake of development.

If I develop, I can change, and if I change, my role will also change.

Kibe: I don't think joining them shouldn't be too hard. Time to start planning for tomorrow.

8:13 AM

*School bell rings*

*At the classroom*

Now's the time. THIS IS THE END OF ME SPEAKING TO MYSELF AND DISCUSSING MY PLAN WITH THE VIEWERS!

*The teacher arrives*

First mission: I need to interact with them.

12:01 NN

*Lunch time*

*The Slice-of-Life Boys gather at Arata Masaru's seat which is found in the 4th row, 4th column*

Hara: Hey Ishimoto, tell us a good joke.

Ishimoto: A hypnotist is just a programmer who works with humans instead of computers.

Arata: I really don't get what goes in your mind, Ishimoto.

Yoshida: Isn't that what makes him interesting?

Hara and Arata: Good point.

Kibe: I know right?

*Kibe is suddenly with the Slice-of-Life Boys*

Hara, Ishimoto, Yoshida, and Arara's thoughts: Huh? WHO IS THIS GUY?!

I can read your minds with your expressions, fools.

Kibe: Can I joi-

Arata: No way.

*He raises his hand to show him to stop*

Kibe: THAT WAS FAST!

*Hara and Ishimoto go to Yoshida*

*They both whisper to Yoshida*

Hara: Hey, what do we do about him?

Ishimoto: Purge him.

Yoshida: No no no, don't. I have an idea.

*Kibe and Arata are arguing*

Yoshida: Ok, we have an offer.

Ishimoto: Purge him.

*Yoshida looks at Ishimoto*

Yoshida: No.

*He looks back at Kibe*

Yoshida: It's very simple, trust me.

I doubt so.

Yoshida: All you have to do is...

...

Yoshida: MAKE MARUHI YOKOYAMA FALL FOR ME!

Note: Maruhi Yokoyama is the idol.

Keep your voice down, we aren't miles away.

*Kibe sighs*

This is an impossible task.

Kibe: Just give up.

Yoshida: NO. I'M MAKING NEGOTIATIONS HERE! DO YOU WANT IT OR NOT? A guy can dream.

Hara, Ishimoto, and Arata: Just give up.

Yoshida: YOU GUYS TOO?!

*Kibe sighs*

There is a specific reason why she'll never fall in love with him no matter how he tries.

Kibe: She'll never fall in love with you, trust me.

I've watched enough idol anime to know this. But I have the most probable reason and it is because...

Kibe: She is... how do you put it? Um... Not interested in you?

Ishimoto: SAVAGE!

Yoshida: SHUT UP! THAT'S A LIE! YOU CAN'T KNOW IF YOU DON'T TRY!

The truth is... in most idol anime, the show is usually filled with girls, and they have no interest in boys, they're actually interested in fellow girl idols as well, sad to say. I haven't seen any other that break this trope.

Note: This guy has watched all of Love Live.

Yoshida: FINE! IF YOU DON'T WANNA HELP! YOU CAN'T JOIN US! Negotiations are off.

Kibe: You little-

Chill self, if I let myself get angry at them it'll just create a bigger fuss, and in order to join them, I have to curse less than I usually do because Slice-of-Life anime are usually kid-friendly and not vulgar.

*Kibe sighs*

Kibe: Please let me join.

Arata: No

Yoshida: No.

Ishimoto: Yes.

Hara: No.

Kibe: JUST LET ME JOIN THE GROUP, YOU FELLOW DEGENERATES! Except for you, Ishimoto.

Arata: WE WILL NOT LET YOU! YOU ARE A STRANGER AND YOU JUST CALLED US DEGENERATES!

Kibe: IT'S JUST A DAMN CLUB SO LET ME JOIN!

*School bell rings*

*A teacher arrives and everyone goes to their seats*

What the-

Kibe: HOW DID AN HOUR PASS BY?

*All five of them have grumbling stomachs*

Kibe: DAMN IT!

Arata: I should've eaten my lunch...

Hara: MY LUNCH!

Note: And so all five of them, starved because of their arguments.

This is gonna be more of a hassle than I thought.
