Despite being unsure of what to do, Karium moved to the side of the door for his mother to enter. Empress Marozia was surprised by the expression on her son's face but when she saw the Avarian Princess inside the chamber, she understood the situation.

Yara Amiel raised a brow when she saw Empress Marozia walking inside.
