Something's Wrong

The chat with Duke Raymont and his family went on for a while more before the Prince decided to leave. He should do that before the situation turns awkward for him. However, the quiet behavior of the Duke's daughter still bothered him.

He had known her since they were children and... this wasn't her.

What's wrong?

"I think I should get going, Duke Raymont," he said to the Duke who appeared a bit surprised. "As I'm staying in the camp these days, it's not good for me to return too late."

At the Prince's explanation, which was much more an excuse, Duke Raymont nodded in understanding. "With the war approaching us, it must have been hard for you and the soldiers, Your Highness."

"Not at all. This is what we do all our lives," Karium Maselli stated and rose from his seat. At this, the Duke and his family stood up too. "Thank you for having me, Duke Raymont. I hope you have a safe journey."
