Heading for Tongyang City

Bald heads were funny, but the actual strength of Peak Squad wasn't. On the third morning after they took the mission, a squad of 20 members, who came from three squads, assembled at the entrance of the base. Other squads and soldiers passing by all looked at them. The squad would go and complete the SSS mission which nobody else dared to challenge before. And it had spread like wildfire through the base.

"Is everyone here?"

Three captains met and Yun Che greeted Lei Dashan a broad smile. Six men, following Lei Dashan, were strong. Even without superfunction, they could knock down one or two zombies of low level, bare-handed. Seemed like Lei Dashan truly picked the strongest superfunction possessors from his squad.

"Mm… Captain Yun, your hair…"

Looking at Yun Che and his subordinates who all had a bald head, Lei Dashan almost burst out laughing, but he was too embarrassed to. His rugged face was kind of tortured from trying not to laugh. Lei Dashan's subordinates were also surprised. In the Superfunction Association, they saw Yun Che. It had been only two or three days, and why did he have a bald head now?

"You mean my head? It feels cool!"

Unconcerned, Yun Che stroked his bald head and suddenly kept a straight face. Of the void, he took out a minibus available for twenty passengers and said, "Well, since everybody is here, why don't we just set out? And we can come back early."

This time, they must complete the mission perfectly in the shortest time. Yun Che discussed with Xing Feng and Gu Mingxuan and they decided that they'd better go and come within today. They would be back no later than tomorrow.

Speaking of business, no one laughed anymore. Led by their own captain, members from three squads got into the minibus. Leng Yehan drove it. As the minibus came to the second wall being built, Lu Haixuan and Shen Rui jumped onto its roof expertly, without out Yun Che's instruction. A layer of air membrane wrapped all over the minibus.

"Captain Yun. Captain Xing, why…"

Through the window, Lei Dashan and his subordinates saw that no wandering zombies attacked them. More surprisingly, no zombie even noticed them. Their mouths fell open as the full impact of what they were seeing.

They weren't the only shocked ones. At a short distance, superfunction possessors who were building the wall and policemen who were patrolling saw the weird thing, too. They were so shocked that it took them quite a while to get back to reality.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. I don't have only two superfunctions. I have three. Thunder superfunction, space superfunction and air superfunction. The minibus is wrapped by my air membrane. We'll get to Tongyang City smoothly unless something unexpected happens."

Yun Che explained indifferently, as if he just remembered it. Lei Dashan and his squad were speechless. Come on. Yun Che couldn't be more awesome! It was shocking to have thunder superfunction and space superfunction at the same time. He even had the more stunning air superfunction. With such a superfunction, zombies were no longer frightening. No wonder Yun Che said twenty members were more than enough. He had real power!

They teased Yun Che, yet they were more relieved. After all, when they were stronger, they were more likely come back alive.

"Jiang Shang, Zeyu. Go up to the roof to replace Haixuan and Shen. Jiang Shang, shoot the zombies along the road. Zeyu, collect crystal nuclei with your wind superfunction."

As the minibus drove out of Lingjiang City, more zombies appeared on the road. Yun Che gave a resolute order in a deep voice. Collecting crystal nuclei, as a matter of fact, was the secondary task. Most importantly, Yun Che wanted see how far Jiang Shang could do and meanwhile Jiang Shang could get familiar with their fighting style.

"Mm."

With a simple reply, Jiang Shang and Zeyu opened the window, jumped onto the roof of the minibus and replaced Lu Haixuan and Shen Rui.

BANG!

A short while later, there came the banging sound. People looked out of the window and saw two golden ribbons flying on both sides like two little golden dragons. They swept at zombies' heads precisely so fast that zombies of low level who wandered on the road couldn't ward off the strike at all. Their heads were blown off immediately. Astounded, Zhou Zeyu controlled his wind superfunction and rolled up the crystal nuclei from the bloody flesh. Zhou Zeyu was a chatterbox while Jiang Shang was taciturn. They cooperated so well even though it was the first time they fought together. People stared, with their eyes wide open.

"Fuck it… Level-3. Jiang Shang has level-3 superfunction."

Even Yun Che couldn't help sighing when he witnessed how powerful Jiang Shang was. Jiang Shang was a silent man who only stayed by Ye Xingchen like an infatuated fool. Who would have expected him to fight so fiercely? Moreover, he was the second person who had level-3 superfunction only to Yun Che.

Thinking of how shy and obedient Jiang Shang was when he stayed with Ye Xingchen and how simple and lovely Yun Yao thought he was, Yun Che felt too speechless to say anything. Jiang Shang, as he was fighting, looked extremely different. If Yun Che didn't know Jiang Shang was the man waving the golden ribbons, he would wonder if someone else was helping secretly.

"You've got yourself a man Friday."

Xing Feng reached out and seized Yun Che's hand naturally. Meanwhile, he gazed at the two golden ribbons flying wonderfully outside the minibus. With the same gold superfunction, Xing Feng hated to admit it, but Jiang Shang truly used the gold superfunction to an extreme with the help of speed-enhancement.

The strength of Peak Squad had been virtually enhanced. After adapting to Jiang Shang's strong power, Yun Che teased himself like others always did.

"Captain Yun, they're cooperating so well! How do you usually train them?"

Sitting in the same row across the aisle, Lei Dashan turned around and asked modestly. His squad didn't learn to use superfunctions until the doomsday came and they weren't sure about many things. When they didn't know they could have cooperated in a combat with five-element superfunctions, they barely had teamwork. Lei Dashan was shocked to see the cooperation between Jiang Shang and Zhou Zeyu. He itched to learn more from Yun Che so that he could enhance his squad as far as possible.

Yun Che glanced at Xing Feng and then looked at Lei Dashan over Xing Feng's shoulder. "I don't think you will believe me if I tell you they haven't cooperated before. But we do have some experience in the cooperation of superfunctions. If you're interested, we can go over it together."

Helping them to become stronger is also a way to conquer them. Yun Che never meant to hide his experience.

"Awesome! Captain Yun, hope you'll help us more."

Without hypocritical politeness, Lei Dashan replied honestly. In fact, his squad needed to learn more from Yun Che.

As Jiang Shang fought valiantly, the minibus advanced freely. In less than two hours, they reached the suburb of Tongyang City. It was nine in the morning and considering Loser Squad's need, they didn't drive directly into the city. Instead, they made a detour around the city and jumped off to raid the supermarket or grocery store as soon as they saw one. Sure, Xing Feng didn't miss the sex shops. Whenever he saw one, he rushed in and collected everything into his space without even looking carefully.

"More zombies are coming. Get ready. We're going into the city."

It was around ten o'clock. There weren't too many big supermarkets or stores in the suburb, some of which had already been raided. But they still managed to collect quite a lot of things. Yun Che, staring at his air panel, perceived more zombies coming towards them. He made a prompt decision to stop the raid.

"Use the same old way?"

Xing Feng turned his head, staring at Yun Che. There were already many zombies out of the city and there could be more inside it. Fighting all the way into the city was unrealistic. Lei Dashan, who didn't know what they were talking about, didn't interrupt. Over the past few hours, he had realized how strong Chaoyang Squad and Peak Squad were. He was willing to be ordered about. A man didn't need to be the strongest, but he had to realize his own strength. Overexerting himself could only lead to an early grave.

"Mm. Shen, Hai Xuan. You're experienced. Do it first. Jiang Shang, You Dong, watch carefully what they're going to do. Replace them in twenty minutes. Shen, Haixuan, when changing shifts, don't rush to rest. Stay and help until they know how to do it well."

Yun Che ordered, after stroking his chin and thinking about it carefully. You Dong of Losers' Squad had gold superfunction. On their way to Tongyang City, Yun Che had figured out the superfunctions of all members for this mission.

Shen Rui, Lu Haixuan, Jiang Shang, and You Dong all nodded in agreement. Then Xing Feng added, "Gang, protect Xiu Jie. Fang Rui, protect me. Captain Lei, have you own space superfunction possessors protected."

Xing Feng wanted to hide his own fighting superfunction. So, he held a gun in his hand, pretending to protect himself with it.

"Mm. Okay."

Chu Haoling didn't come for this mission. Zhao Gang and Fang Rui were men of few words. As they were getting into the city, Lei Dashan and his squad didn't dare to nag. They all looked serious. After all, no one ever heard that a squad could visit a city without any member dying. Sure, few people knew Xing Feng and his men went to the provincial capital. Otherwise, it would have caused a stir in the base and Yun Che wouldn't have been teased when he asked to team up in the Superfunction Association.

No one knew what was going on in Tongyang City. They would try to find it out. Even Yun Che and Xing Feng weren't a hundred percent sure that this trip would be as smooth as that to the provincial capital.

As soon as Yun Che finished, the minibus, which was going slowly, came to a sudden halt. Lu Haixuan was the first to get out of the minibus and began to condense a metal corridor at the door. Xing Feng provided the metal. You Dong followed up willingly for observation. When the corridor took shape, Yun Che asked Lei Dashan and his subordinates to go first. When everyone was in the corridor, Shen Rui, whose job was to bring up the rear, sealed the corridor immediately. When Yun Che took back the extra metal back into his space, he used the air membrane to wrap the corridor. Jiang Shang, when he wasn't fighting, looked rather cute. Being quiet added to his touch of obedience. Yet he was gazing attentively at Shen Rui's moves with his lovely charming eyes and imprinted what he saw on his mind.
