A Night Tour At The Base

Yun Cheng was the only one of the two squads that didn't go to the dinner party. He didn't need that kind of food. Besides, there was concern that he might lose control of himself when he went outside and saw blood. The furthest place he had ever been to so far was the front door of his house. Nobody had the courage to let him go outside, and he didn't sneak out to cause trouble. Though he didn't like being left at home alone while everyone else was having fun out there, his sister and brother had successfully persuaded him to be a good boy. At the moment, he was eating crystal nucleus and playing with Wolf King as well as Xiaobai while waiting for them.

"Brother! Chenchen!"

At the sight of Yun Che and Chenchen, Yun Cheng ran over, leaving Wolf King and Xiaobai behind.

"Hey, we're back! Staying at home alone, you must have been bored, right?"

After putting Chenchen on Heiyu's back, Yun Che embraced him and stroked his head as usual. While walking inside the house with him, Yun Che said to Wolf King, "There's a wild boar leg for you outside. Go, help yourself."

The smart Wolf King howled excitedly before running outside for his food. Yun Che turned his gaze from the wolf's happy figure to his brother and pondered a bit before saying, "Cheng, do you want to go outside?"

Who wouldn't want to? Cheng seemed to be missing the crowd very much recently. It was human nature to hate being isolated. Even though he had become a zombie, this was something that wouldn't change.

Yun Cheng nodded involuntarily before he shook his head the next second, holding his brother's arm and staring at the ground sullenly. Chenchen told him that there were many kids outside and it was funny. He wanted to go outside, but his sister and Yehan wouldn't let him. He had no choice but to stay in the house.

Judging from his depressed look, Yun Che figured out what he really wanted.

Yun Che turned to look at Heiyu before saying suddenly, "Let's go out for a ride."

He could not let Yun Cheng leave the house alone, but it would be fine if they went out together.

"We're going outside?"

Yun Cheng looked up with both surprise and happiness.

"Yeah. When did I ever lie to you?"

Knowing that he was right about what his brother wanted, Yun Che smiled brightly while meeting his brother's gaze.

"Great! You're the most wonderful brother in the universe!"

Yun Cheng pounced over to hug him and bounced excitedly. Yun Che patted his back with deep affection while feeling sentimental: He merely promised to take his brother out for a ride, but his brother was so happy as if he had got the brightest star from the sky.

"Heiyu, transform to your original shape."

The two brothers took Heiyu outside. Standing at the door, Yun Che said to Heiyu as he held Chenchen in his arms again.

"Are you sure? If anyone gets frightened, don't blame me."

Despite what he had just said, Heiyu's body started to expand and became as large as a small mountain in an instant. Considering Heiyu his mount, Chenchen clapped his hands excitedly. At the sight of that, Yun Cheng clapped his hands as well. Both of them looked innocent and adorable.

"Alright. Get up there."

Yun Che kept smiling all the time. Heiyu got down to let Yun Che put Chenchen on his back. Before anyone asked, Yun Cheng leaped and landed behind Chenchen. Yun Che was surprised at first, but when he came back to his sense that Yun Cheng was a zombie now, he shook his head and smiled involuntarily. He should not feel surprised. After all, Cheng was a super zombie, and he had a strong physical body as the zombies of new generations, and even stronger.

"Let's take a night tour in the base."

"Aye, Master! Buckle up, guys."

After Yun Che patted Heiyu's body, the latter responded as he got up. With his four limbs kicking back, he dashed out like an arrow flying away from the bow.

Chenchen wasn't afraid as he had been used to riding Heiyu, and Yun Cheng was too excited about his first time to have any other kind of feelings. Heiyu could jump several meters high and leaped a dozen meters far, which made sitting on his back more thrilling than any game they had ever played in amusement parks before the doomsday.

"Be careful. Don't get yourself dropped."

Yun Che, sitting behind them, secretly enveloped their lower bodies with air membrane to keep them from falling. Heiyu also used his long hair to grab their feet. "Master, how about we take a trip outside the base?"

It occurred to him that he had never run outside the base before. Knowing that there were superfunction possessors guarding the base wall at night, he wanted to go there and scare them for fun.

"Just the second base wall. We can't go further."

If they went further, they might run into zombies. With Yun Cheng's current condition, it would be better to keep him away from those things.

"Got it."

Heiyu responded without hesitation before he passed the canteen with a few leaps. At the time, Xing Feng and the others happened to walk out of the canteen. Wherever Heiyu passed by, there were screams and cries. After all, not many people had seen him before. It wasn't very late in the evening, and people had not slept yet. Upon hearing the nickname "Fatty Chenchen", Chenchen forgot about the former topic and grabbed a pinch of Heiyu's hair as he argued.

All the soldiers were taken aback and almost fell off the wall. When the soldiers broke out of the trance to look at the beast and the people on his back, they had been long gone.
