Coaxing Yun Cheng; A Feast

"How are you not winding me up? You promised me that you'd collect crystal nuclei with me tomorrow. Those nuclei are mine."

Yun Cheng turned around and pointed his finger at Yun Che like a child. He then turned away in a sulk, but he didn't cover his ears again. Fortunately, he wouldn't shed tears, or else he would have cried like Chenchen would. Yun Che was confused after getting an earful. After he semi-threatened Zhou Zeyu and learned what had happened outside the base previously, Yun Che heaved a heavy sigh: the boy had grown up, he now had learned to fight for food. Should Yun Che be happy or should he teach him to share? Yun Che decided to feel happy for his brother because they were living in the doomsday, sharing wasn't in fashion at the moment.

"OK, I'll talk with Weiye about it. We'll help them kill the zombies under the condition of us getting all the level-4 crystal nuclei. How about that?"

Soothed Yun Che when he turned his brother around by the shoulder.

"Can we?"

Asked Yun Cheng with a pout. He still wore a doubtful look on the face. To his knowledge, whoever killed the zombie got the crystal nucleus. Yun Cheng didn't understand the concept of deal or exchange yet.

"Sure we can. We help them kill zombies, we get something in return. Just like we do quests back in Southwest Base, we get rewards and points."

Yun Che pushed on with an example when he saw his proposition started to sway Yun Cheng. "And this way, we won't miss any level-4 zombies. Isn't that a good deal?"

Well, Yun Che had to keep fooling him around.

"Yeah, yeah. You must make a deal with them. If they disagree, we won't help them kill zombies."

Yun Cheng was happy to hear what Yun Che said. He emphasized when he held his brother's hand in excitement. Peak and Chaoyang were helpless about the fact that Yun Cheng had been educated to be slick and that he probably would never be cute again.

"Sure, whatever you say."

Of course Yun Che would say so because he had worked so hard to coax him. It seemed Yun Cheng was the boss of Peak behind the curtain and everybody had to work for him.

"Thanks, brother."

Yun Cheng joyfully opened his arms to hug Yun Che with a beaming face. Yun Che lovingly stroked Yun Cheng's fringe and fed him with the fruit. "If you want something, just tell me. Don't get mad for no reason, OK?"

"OK!"

At this point, Yun Cheng would agree to anything, just like Chenchen.

"You haven't been fooling me around, have you, master?"

Heiyu jumped on to the table in front of Yun Che after he ate enough and gazed at his master with his dark, small eyes. "After we arrive in the Coastal Base, first, he got a new granddad, and then the free aid, when can we start collecting the energy bar manufacturing machine? Has Yun Che forgotten all about me? If he has, I'll bite his butt!"

"Why do you have to get involved in everything?! No, I haven't and won't!"

Right after Yun Cheng was dealt with, here came the puppy!

Yun Che grouchily waved Heiyu off and then lit himself a cigarette. The Coastal Base sure was a good place to have seafood. Look at the size of the oyster that Chu Haoling was eating, it was bigger than his head. And the scallops were huge as well, 5 scallops had taken up the entire grill. They also had to slice the octopus legs because there was no way they could've put the entire octopus on the grill or eaten it whole.

"Let's get more seafood home for our families."

Leaning on Xing Feng's back, Yun Che blew a smoke ring. He wasn't sure when the ocean in his Space would be unlocked, so he figured that they could get as many kinds of seafood as possible here. They got several space superfunction possessors, so the storage wouldn't be a problem.

"Sure. But you said common people couldn't eat mutant meat, so the rule applies to the mutant sea life, right? How come common people in the Coastal Base are eating these things every day? And it seems there's nothing wrong with us after we eat the mutant sea creatures."

Xing Feng gave him a sideways look after the extravagant seafood feast. He wore a relaxed look on the face as he sniffed the cigarette smoke.

"I'm not sure. I don't know why marine life has only mutated but hasn't been zombified. How about we get some samples for our laboratory if you're so eager to know, perhaps we might discover the future of mankind."

Yun Che semi-joked about it. The Coastal Base wasn't the only base near the sea, but it had become the biggest coastal base where millions of survivors lived prior to Yun Che's previous death. The life in the Coastal Base became better and better as the doomsday lasted longer. The Capital Base had always been wanting to fix the relationship with the Coastal Base ever since they started to lose control of everything, but they never managed to do so. The major bases across the country did know the fact that not only marine life only mutated but they were also edible for average people. People examined and studied the seawater and marine samples, but there had never been any progress, so Yun Che was kind of curious about the cause.

"Yes, we can take some samples back home, but we'll have put the living things in your Space."

No other Space could store living things other than Yun Che's.

"Hehe, how about I take some big sharks home?"

After snubbing out the cigarette, Yun Che looked back at him with a smile. Even a regular crab had grown into the size of a washbasin after mutation, a shark would have to be as big as a whale. It would be interesting if they kept some sharks in Lingjiang River.

"I can't stop you if you've made up your mind, right? You have an awesome granddad now, I can't upset you, or else the old admiral won't let me get away with it."

Xing Feng had briefly talked with Yun Che about Tan Jianting, so right after he said it, Yun Che burst out laughing. His love was further secured, although it was unnecessary.

"Hey, Che, how come Admiral Tan has become your granddad? Very smart of you."

Chu Haoling leaned over when his belly was full, but when Lu Haixuan gave him another skewer of grilled squid, he still took and ate it, which reminded Yun Che of a southwest saying: Better stuffed than squandered. It could describe Chu Haoling perfectly well.

"It's a matter of charisma and you don't have a cute nephew like Chenchen."

Whilst saying this, Yun Che waved at Chenchen whose belly seemed to have gained extra size after the feast.

"What do you mean?"

Chu Haoling turned to his chief since he didn't quite understand what Yun Che said. Xing Feng replied cynically, "He means you should eat less. After all the stuff you eat, your size has grown but not your brain. Don't be sad if you repulse Haixuan someday."

"Uh, chief, can we be civil? I repulse Haixuan? No way, how dare he!"

Chu Haoling was upset and looked sideways at Lu Haixuan when he finished the sentence. Zhou Zeyu tried to fan the flames by joining the conversation. "Hey, Haixuan, you can't put up with that, can you? This is the time you make some rules, come on, speak to Chu's face!"

"Shit, Zhou Zeyu, what's your problem? Do you want to solo me?"

After gobbling up the squid, Chu Haoling threw the skewer away and stood up. He rolled up his sleeves, getting ready for a fight. Zhou Zeyu pulled and pushed Lu Haixuan to him. "Solo what? I don't want to solo you. You and Haixuan should 'solo' if you're so full of energy, I don't have time for it."

Zhou Zeyu wouldn't solo Chu Haoling. If superfunction wasn't banned, Chu Haoling was ten times stronger than he was. Even if they were allowed to use superfunction, they were neck to neck, so overall, he was at a disadvantage.

"Drink some water."

Lu Haixuan gave Chu Haoling a bottle of water when he saw Chu Haoling intended to say more. He and Zhou Zeyu always horsed around.

"When will you marry Yafei, Yang?"

Yun Che didn't have time for these two idiots, he put all his attention on Yang Huaien and Zhan Yafei. Although they hadn't announced anything, everyone could tell that they were having a relationship. Yun Che asked Yang jokingly just because they weren't trying to hide their relationship.

"No rush. We still have time."

Yang Huaien put a plate full of crab meat in front of Zhan Yafei. Yafei said yes to Yang a few days after they came home from the provincial capital, they had officially become a couple, but their parents hadn't known this. They were waiting for a better moment.

"Yafei is the second prettiest girl in Peak. Huaien, you have sharp eyes and act fast."

Ye Xingcheng joined Yun Che to tease Yang Huaien with a grin after devouring the prawn that Jiang Shang fed him with. Yang Huaien was a slick dude, he just nodded, "Yeah, I do act fast, but it's because my chief has taught me well. See? He's nailed your captain, hasn't he?"

"Haha!"

Everybody laughed out loud. It was true that Xing Feng had the sharpest eyes and acted the fastest.

Yun Che and Xing Feng were counter-teased, they didn't care but made eye contact with one another. It didn't matter who nailed who, as long as they were deep in love with each other. The barbecue didn't finish until midnight, they ate and talked until they all had round bellies before going to bed. Chenchen had been sent into Space by Yun Che earlier because he was sleepy, Heiyu went to bed with him too.

"Still awake?"

Xing Feng saw Yun Che smoking a cigarette by the window when he walked out of the bathroom after the bath. The wind blew the smell of sea into the room, as well as the smell of blood, which was kind of disgusting. Xing Feng only wore a bath towel to cover his lower half. He walked over to Yun Che as he dried his hair. He hugged Yun Che and stubbed out his cigarette. "It's late. We're expecting a battle tomorrow."

"Hmm, are you seducing me?"

Yun Che leered at him with his hand on Xing Feng's large pecs, his other hand slid down his waist as if it was ready to rip the bath towel off at any time.

"It's you who are seducing me…"

"Mmmmh."

Xing Feng closed his eyes, held up Yun Che's chin and bit his lips. It wasn't their first kiss and they were both dudes, so the two tongues aggressively entangled with one another and they constantly switched angles to suck the juice in each other's mouths. The sex seemed imminent, Yun Che even felt the hard-on under the bath towel, but Xing Feng called it quits.

"Come on, stop it. We'll have to wake up early in the morning."

Xing Feng bent over, put his hand across Yun Che's knee pit and picked him up. Yun Che put his arms around Xing Feng's neck and bit his chin. "I haven't had a bath, you just make yourself dirty again by picking me up."

"The water is ready, I'll have a shower."

Xing Feng did carry Yun Che into the bathroom. Soon, low moans and cheerful laughter came from the bathroom. Clearly, Yun Che was being naughty instead of having a bath."
