Che, I Miss You!

The workshop was not so big that almost all workers noticed such a scene. They stopped their work and looked over. Chen Changsheng was a flippant talker who always complimented the superiors but took a demanding gesture before the workers. Whenever he met pretty girls, he flirted with them and even harassed them. However, people's temper had been worn out by the doomsday. They didn't dare to speak out the injustices because Chen Changsheng had support behind the scene and they didn't want to lose the jobs which could feed their families. Today, people were pleased to see Yun Che get the goods on Chen Changsheng and wished Yun Che could get rid of this tumor.

"Are you freaking kidding me?"

Upon hearing such a corny excuse from Chen Changsheng, Heiyu jumped off Chenchen's head onto Yun Che's shoulder and looked at Chen Changsheng as if he was looking at a silly goose. Yun Che tidied up his sleeves calmly and then turned to Chen Changsheng. Yun Che said mercilessly, "You need to raise your family, what's that got to do with me? You guys don't get low salaries from me, do you? Two point five kilograms of rice per day. That's the salary of the high-level superfunction possessor. How much do you earn if you do odd jobs in the base? Enough to pay your daily meals? How much you work, how much you get paid. This theory is even known to a three-year-old kid. You goof off in my factory and now you ask me to give you a chance? What? You think I'm a blinkard? Or you are the blinkard, huh?"

Yun Che didn't put it in quite a dreadful tone, but it gave a shiver to everyone who heard it clearly. Yun Che was right. Two point five kilograms of rice was not much before the doomsday, but after the doomsday, it equaled to the salary of the white collar before the doomsday. Therefore, the salary paid by Yun Che was rather high.

"Bang…"

"Captain Yun, I was wrong. I promise I will never loaf on the job again. I'm begging you to give me a chance. Please."

Chen Changsheng quivered with fear and knelt down sharply. Out of his expectation, this man looking weak on the outside could become so tough. Rumors about Yun Che crowded in Chen Changsheng's mind. What impressed Chen Changsheng most was that Yun Che was the toughest superfunction possessor in the base!

"Che."

The workshop director who came late had a bad feeling as he looked at Chen Changsheng who knelt on the ground. The workshop director stood beside Yun Che in a respectful manner with his head lowered. He was an inferior person of Chaoyang Community and ran the workshop in all but name without an extra salary. His position just had a deterrent effect. The operation process in the workshop was in the charge of several workshop managers, so the workshop director didn't know what happened either.

Only the inferior people of Chaoyang and Peak called Yun Che by Che. Yun Che turned around and glanced at the workshop manager and Chen Changsheng blandly. "They're fired. Bring me all the work logs. I need to check them by myself."

"No…"

"Yes, sir."

The workshop manager and Chen Changsheng shouted with despair. The workshop director responded to Yun Che's demand without hesitation though he was scared with cold sweats oozing out in an instant. Yun Che took Chenchen to a relatively empty place. He took out a desk and a chair, and then sat down.

"Chenchen, go play with Heiyu. I have something to do."

"Okay."

Chenchen nodded obediently on the single sofa Yun Che specially prepared for him. Chenchen reached out for his puppy Heiyu. Yun Che rubbed Chenchen's head as a praise and then made a call with the cell phone he took from the space.

"Hello!"

The phone was soon answered. Wan Guoqiang's voice on the other side of the phone could be heard vaguely. Yun Che held the phone with one hand and held his head lazily with the other one on the desk. "Guoqiang, you busy?"

"Captain Yun?"

Hearing his voice, Wan Guoqiang immediately stopped what he was doing. "You call me personally. I have to make time even if I am busy, don't I?"

"Huh… That's why I think you are a considerate man. I even want to poach you and appoint you as the workshop director of Peak Clothing Factory."

That's too much of a flattery. It sent chills down to Wan Guoqiang's spine. He wiped the cold sweat before asking, "Captain Yun, please don't joke with me. I'm too old for that. So, go ahead. What is it?"

It was not the first time Wan Guoqiang had cooperated with Yun Che. So Wan Guoqiang had learned some lessons. Whenever Yun Che made fun of others, something that touched his bottom line must have happened.

"Guoqiang, that's so blunt. I don't even know how to say it. Actually, it's nothing much. You know, I own a clothing factory, right? I just took a tour around it with nothing to do. And I discovered that your people broke the rules. They helped people get jobs in my factory. You're the captain of one of my ordinary superfunction squads. To cooperate with your work, I made great efforts to shake off poverty for dozens of families which had been short of basic living needs for a long time. It was clearly written on the hire announcement released by Mo Wenyang as I asked him to that only the ordinary people with really heavy loads could be hired and only one person of each family got hired. So what do you mean by putting people into my factory who just goof off? Are you trying to bring us down?"

Yun Che put it in a casually jocular tone again. However, what he said was not a joke at all. He even mentioned bringing Chaoyang and Peak down. Wan Guoqiang sweated with fear. "Oh, come on, Captain Yun. How could it be possible that we had that intention? I'm sure it's my subordinates. Captain Yun, don't worry. I'll give you an explanation."

Even though Wan Guoqiang sounded steady, his heart was full of galloping horses. Damn it!

"That's not so important. But Guoqiang, if you don't put an end to this, I see no point in running my factory any more."

Yun Che established his factory with the purpose to keep the inferior people of Chaoyang and Peak from coldness. He hired ordinary survivors not only to win public support for Mo Wenyang but also to give a hand to the people in real need. Otherwise, how would he give 2.5 kilograms of rice to every worker every day? If his original intention was changed, it was unnecessary for him to run this factory or to establish other factories as he planned.

"No. I promise this won't happen again. Specific people will be responsible for choosing the workers for you."

What a bad luck for Wan Guoqiang! He couldn't help cursing inwardly. Although Yun Che's factory had only solved the basic living needs of a minority of survivors, he had hired quite a large number of ordinary survivors to plant. That reduced much pressure of the base, let alone the rise of the status of Chaoyang and Peak in the Southwest Base. Once Wan Guoqiang found out who broke the rule, he would definitely cut him to death. Who the hell dared to help people get jobs in the factory? Did he just get tired of living? No one ever dared to provoke the big shots, okay?

"Really? I'll trust you this time. Don't make fool of me, Guoqiang."

"I don't dare."

Wan Guoqiang waved as he spoke, knowing that Yun Che couldn't see him on the phone. Wan Guoqiang dared to make fool of anyone but Yun Che who was the most difficult man to be dealt with.

"Appreciate it."

With that said, Yun Che hung up the phone. The workshop director came back with a pile of work logs and put them onto Yun Che's desk. In the meanwhile, Gu Mingxuan who was supposed to stay at home was walking in hastily, followed by two adjutants.

"What brings you here?"

Yun Che asked as he picked up a work log and flipped it. Gu Mingxuan curled his lip towards the work logs and the two adjutants picked up the work logs in tune and read them.

"We can take it from here. You don't have to handle this yourself."

Gu Mingxuan who had figured out what happened here from the workshop director pulled a long face. It hadn't been long since the factory opened and he was too busy to attend to this trifle, which was unexpectedly caught by Yun Che. What was worse, someone actually dared to help people get jobs in their factory who even just goofed off to get salaries.

"Never mind. I have much time. I wish to see how many more people who idle around at work."

Saying that, Yun Che picked up another work log and read it. It wasn't that he couldn't afford to raise a couple of useless people. He could afford to raise all people in the base with his storage of materials for a long time. But his materials didn't just fall from the sky. It was already his greatest offer to do a good deed in such a way. If anyone attempted to fish in troubled waters, he would never ever spare that guy. He wouldn't give him anything, not even a grain of rice.

It might be cold-blooded and ruthless of Yun Che to do so. He didn't care about paying his staff more than they deserved. However, he couldn't be so kind as to let people take his salary but didn't work.

Gu Mingxuan was well-aware of his personalities, so he made no response to Yun Che's words. Gu Mingxuan pulled a chair, sat down and checked the work logs with Yun Che. The whole factory was strangely silent so that the sound of turning pages could be heard clearly. Almost all workers' hearts beat hard. They feared that their work logs would be flunked. See the workshop manager and Chen Changsheng? They still lay on the ground.

"Well, well. Over 10 people flunk. I guess you guys really look down upon Chaoyang and Peak."

Around half an hour later, the calculation finished. Holding the newly-completed list of substandard people, Yun Che couldn't help sneering. Gu Mingxuan also looked mad. What bothered them was not giving out the materials but being cheated.

"The people on the list are all fired. Starting today, the workshop managers will be reduced to ordinary workers, the workshop director will take charge of everything, and you guys will be paid according to the piece of your work. The first place will get extra 2.5 kilograms of pork as a reward. The last place whose amount of work exceeds the average will be fired directly."

Yun Che stood up sharply and took a cold glance at everyone in the factory. He never dreamed that there were over 10 goldbricks among less than 100 workers in the factory. Since they didn't want to perform their duties as acceptance of Yun Che's kindness, it was not necessary for Yun Che to be a good man any more.

"You guys heard what Captain Yun said, didn't you?"

"Yes…"

Gu Mingxuan cast a piercing glance at the workers. The workshop director standing beside him constantly wiped the cold sweats. He never expected that this thing would get so serious. Under this circumstance, how would the other workshop managers who were involved dare to say anything? If they were fired directly, they couldn't even get the salary of ordinary workers. The workers also didn't dare to speak out their grudges against the two men on the ground. How would they be involved if not because of the two of them? Every worker was originally paid 2.5 kilograms of rice every day. Could they still earn so much on a piecework basis?

"Che, I just…"

"Che."

The problem was solved. When Gu Mingxuan was going to say something, there suddenly came the voice of Xing Feng from the door. Yun Che's body got stiff. He looked up almost mechanically. The next second, he was thrown into Xing Feng's arms. Feeling the familiar warmth, Yun Che gradually relaxed his stiff body and inhaled, with his eyes closed, the smell greedily that belonged to Xing Feng. He finally came back!

"Che, I miss you!"

Embracing Yun Che tightly, Xing Feng leaned deeply on Yun Che's neck. God knew how much Xing Feng had missed him for the last ten days. Whenever Xing Feng had a break, all he thought about was Yun Che, whose frowns and smiles, words and deeds were deeply engraved in Xing Feng's mind.
