Yun Cheng Was Back!

"Mm… Yehan… Che…"

Furrowing his eyebrows tightly, Yun Cheng let out a husky groan on the bed from time to time. Without breathing, everyone else stared at him and was reluctant to blink. Leng Yehan was most anxious. The mention of his name struck his heart heavily like beating drums.

"Mm…"

Yun Cheng gave another groan again, seemingly as a way to give vent to his pain. He then loosened his eyebrows gradually, and his eyeballs rolled up and down beneath his eyelids. With his long and thick eyelashes quivering, he opened his eyes slowly when everyone else almost got suffocated, feeling every second wore on like a year. His slightly hazy eyeballs under the cosmetic contact lenses moved a little, and in the end, fixed on Leng Yehan who looked at him in tears.

"Cheng…"

Leng Yehan trembled the moment his hands were held backwards. He then beamed with smile. "Yehan!"

"Cheng!"

This time sounded much clearer and more powerful than the previous ones. Leng Yehan couldn't resist pouncing on Yun Cheng and gave him a hug. Smilingly, Yun Cheng raised his arms and held Leng Yehan back. Yun Cheng looked around and greeted to everyone. "Dude, sis, Chenchen, sorry for keeping you guys waiting."

"Cheng you… got your memory back?"

Yun Yao approached him, crying. She couldn't believe what she heard. Yun Cheng had called her this way before, but it had sounded somewhat childish and estranged. Now, it sounded intimate and a little like a spoiled child, in which way Yun Cheng had called her before he turned into a zombie. Yun Yao was overly thrilled. The thing that she never dared to dream of happened for real.

"I thought you would never defeat the zombie virus."

Yun Che was quite excited as well. He came up to give his brother a punch, with tears welling up. Out of his expectation, his brother actually regained the memory of the human period, which should be theoretically impossible. Was it perhaps the magical side effect of the beast essence and blood of Heiyu? Anyways, it was the best result that could ever happen, though Yun Cheng was still a zombie.

"Not completely yet. Seems I can't remember many things, except something deep."

With that said, Yun Cheng patted Leng Yehan as a sign for him to release his hands. When Leng Yehan was doing so, Yun Cheng initiatively clasped his hands in Leng Yehan's. "Yehan, thank you for not abandoning me all this time."

Recalling his past both as a human being and a zombie, Yun Cheng raised himself up and approached Leng Yehan to kiss on his lips gently. The one who impressed Yun Cheng most apart from his family must be Leng Yehan. How couldn't Yun Cheng tell with his wisdom that Leng Yehan loved him? However, most people had still opposed homosexuality though it had been highly accepted before the doomsday. Particularly, Leng Yehan was born into an uncommon family. Once their relationship was confirmed, it couldn't be guaranteed that Leng Yehan's family wouldn't make things difficult for Yun Cheng's brother and sister. Love only involved two people, but its combination involved two families. Yun Cheng's sister had spent great efforts raising Yun Cheng up, and finally had her own family and happiness after going through much suffering. How could Yun Cheng let his love ruin all this?

However, everything changed after his recovery from the deep sleep. Yun Cheng no longer had to worry so much. Moreover, if his memory served him right, he and Leng Yehan had been a legalized couple since the wedding ceremony, hadn't they? Not as dominant as his brother though, Yun Cheng was not the kind of person who would run away from the fate. From today on, he would never let go of Leng Yehan.

"Cheng, I love you!"

Leng Yehan looked Yun Cheng in the eyes firmly, resting Yun Cheng's head on his hands. Even though Leng Yehan had said those three words to him many times, it was the most prudent one this time.

"Huh… I love you too."

Yun Cheng's smile broadened. Naturally, they were supposed to kiss each other. But good things were doomed to be destroyed. Chenchen who had been placed on the bed by Gu Mingxuan crawled over with his legs and hands.

"Uncle Cheng…"

Chenchen threw his body right into Yun Cheng's arms. Chenchen was still heavy, though he managed to lose weight. Holding him smilingly, Yun Cheng said, "Chenchen, you still need to lose some weight."

"…"

"Hahaha…"

Chenchen who managed to crawl up and hold Yun Cheng's neck stiffened directly. He stared at Yun Cheng unbelievably with his dark eyes. Seeing that, everyone else couldn't help but burst into great laughter. They were finally sure that Yun Cheng was really back. Before the coma, he had never said such things. But now, he turned back to be who he had been and even became maturer and more humorous.

"Uncle Cheng…"

Soon after Chenchen reacted quite a while later, he pouted reproachfully, seeming ready to cry at any time. Yun Cheng held him by one hand, and rubbed his nose dotingly by the other. "I'm just kidding. Chenchen looks fine now. No need to lose weight. As Che said, it's just baby fat."

"Hmm."

Chenchen was innocent and easy to coax. A smile spread over his face right away. He knew that his uncle would never dislike him for being fat. Moreover, it was just baby fat.

"Cheng… do you really remember the past? You won't forget it again, will you?"

Beside them, Yun Yao had managed to stop the tears but her eyes were still red. Seeing through her fear, Yun Cheng reached out and held her by the shoulder. "No, never. Seems my level has reached the top directly. I suppose nothing would change. But I am still a zombie and I am impossible to turn back to be a human being. Sis, you won't dislike me, will you?"

He was no longer the one who he had been. He was well aware of the change of his own body. Simply speaking, his internal and external balance had reached level 10, which made him a real corpse emperor.

"You brat, how could you say that? How would I dislike you? I… I am very happy that you get your memory back…"

Vexed, Yun Yao beat him on the chest. As she spoke, she bumped into Yun Cheng's arms and started to cry. Chenchen reached out to wipe the tears for her. "Mom, don't cry. Uncle Cheng is fine!"

"Yes… We'll be fine forever."

Chenchen's childish comfort moved Yun Yao. She raised herself up and wiped the tears randomly. Then, she held Yun Che's hand. The hands of the three siblings piled up tightly. Yun Cheng and Yun Che smiled at each other and said nothing.

"Cheng, still remember me?"

Seeing the family finish catching up, Lu Haixuan couldn't wait to come up. He pointed at himself with anticipation all over his face. Yun Cheng pretended to think for long enough to make him impatient before saying, smilingly, "Sure. Those two days at college when we hid from zombies and attacked zombies impressed me a lot. Thank you and Yehan for protecting me. I was always studying and doing research. My stamina really sucked."

"Hoo… You scared me. I thought you didn't remember me. Cheng, welcome back."

Lu Haixuan patted his chest to comfort himself and exhaled exaggeratedly. He thought Yun Cheng really forgot him before Yun Cheng answered him. It upset him if Yun Cheng did forget him, didn't it? After all, he had treated Yun Cheng as a friend.

"Thank you."

Yun Cheng smiled at him and then lowered his eyes. No one noticed that his eyes flashed swiftly, except Yun Che. But he didn't ask anything. On the one hand, he didn't want to ruin the good mood; on the other hand, he could almost figure out the reason.

"Well, Cheng, you regain the memory of the past. But do you forget what have happened in the recent year?"

Zhou Zeyu asked nervously when he suddenly came up with that question. Zhan Yafei and other people cast their eyes on him simultaneously. Yun Chen found it amusing. "How could it be possible? Things can't be so campy, right? I remember everything that happened during my zombie period. I know every one of you. I told you, didn't I? I just don't remember something or someone that's not so deep before I turned into a zombie."

One's mind would be damaged after he turned into a zombie. It was good enough for Yun Cheng to regain some memory. As for those unimportant things, it didn't matter that he forget them.

"That's good. As a saying goes, life is full of drama. I'm just worried campy things would happen."

Zhou Zeyu finally breathed a sigh of relief. The doomsday was tricky enough. How could he not get worried?

"Since Cheng can remember everything, it's not necessary to make self introduction again. Let's do the catch-up later. We've got guests downstairs. I think we should attend to them, right?"

Ye Xingchen raised his eyebrows slightly. He took a glance at Yun Cheng and fixed his eyes on Yun Che in the end. From the very beginning, Ye Xingchen hadn't believed everything was just some misunderstanding.

"Yes, we should…"

"Dude, you should lie in bed and have a good rest, right?"

Yun Cheng interrupted Yun Che at the first place. Heiyu who had turned into a puppy unknowingly seemed to find his soul mate. He jumped on Yun Cheng's shoulder and said, "That's right. You just delivered and you always care for everything. Do you really think you're that tough?"

"Are you two ganging together on me?

Yun Che looked at them angrily but still wore a big smile under the good mood. His brother recovered from a coma and even regained part of his memory. It was definitely the best result though he didn't regain all of it.

"Of course we have to, don't we? That's a thousand years' cultivation I've consume, I don't… Oh no, master, listen to me…"

"Oh? Still trying to con me, huh?"

Getting too proud, Heiyu spilled the beans. When he realized that, Yun Che had changed his face. Fortunately, Heiyu couldn't show any expressions as a dog. Otherwise, there must be quite a scene. Heiyu shrank his neck with fear and avoided eye contact with Yun Che. "Well, I was just afraid that you would stop me. I've cultivated for thousands of years. A thousand year's cultivation isn't much, is it?"

How could that not be much? Heiyu just didn't dare to tell Yun Che the truth. Originally, a few drops of essence and blood would be enough to save Yun Cheng. But Heiyu had used a large amount in order to push Yun Cheng to the top level and stimulate and repair his dead brain cells. If Heiyu hadn't done that, how would Yun Cheng be able to recall the past? The current Yun Cheng was a zombie but not completely a zombie. As time went by, he would be more like a human being. Even his heartbeat and breath were likely to recover, though the odds were very small. Comprehensively speaking, Heiyu thought it was worth sacrificing his cultivation of a thousand years. At least, he made his master truly rejoice.

"Since you knew I would stop you, why did you still do that without letting me know? Heiyu, I remember I told you this. If you lie to me, you'll never go out again."

With that said, Yun Che stood up sharply. With his wisdom, how could he not figure out that his brother's outstanding breakthrough and memory recovery were related to Heiyu? Yun Che appreciated Heiyu's help but was also mad at him. He had done such things repeatedly. If Yun Che didn't carry out the punishment for real, Heiyu was likely to do that again. This time, he had consumed a thousand year's cultivation, what about next time? And the time after next? He might have to sacrifice his life in the end, right?

"No, master. I was wrong. I was wrong, okay? Master…"

Heiyu was ready to pounce but they all disappeared from the space after Yun Che waved his hand. Heiyu stood there alone. He should have run away but suddenly lowered his eyes and said, "Master, you don't know anything."

His mumble was too low to hear. A short moment later, Heiyu disappeared too, leaving no other sound in the space.
